CHAPTER 217: No Matter What Age

After getting back, they saw that the other four were already awake and eating.

"Stormie's not yet awake?" Willow asked Nixon who was the closest to her.

"She and Felix left to roam around," Nixon replied as he ate another peace of meat on his plate.

Willow looked down at the way he pierced the meat.

"Why are you being so rgumpy so early in the morning?" she asked him.

"Grumpy? What are you talking about?" Nixon looked up to her but because she was on his side, the way he looked was so sharp.

"Calm down, I am just asking, you are murdering your food, have you not noticed?" Willow stepped back.

"I am not being grumpy, stop putting words on my mouth," Nixon stood up and left.

Willow stood there blinking as she watched him walked away.

"What did I do?" Willow asked Saphira who remained standing beside her.

She was nibbling at her bread watching the two of them like she was watching a show.

She simply waved her hand and walked over to where Hunter sat.

Willow shook her head and sat down as well.

"Our group is experiencing so much turbulence," Saphira said to Hunter.

"It is already part of human nature. As to how it will affect each and everyone of them, it will be up to them," Hunter replied.

Saphira looked around, "But I guess one is quite clear of his own feelings."

Hunter looked towards the side where Drake sat, he was reading a book regarding the earth.

"He knew what he had done and what he needs to do. He is much more mature than the others," Hunter commented.

"Hmmm, are we really?" Saphira spoke as she finished the bread on her hand before fishing another one from the bag.

Hunter looked at her, Saphira pushed the bag to him, "It is chocolate filled."

He shook his head, he was eating fruits.

"I think not one of us is truly mature," she continued.

"No matter what age, when it comes to human heart and emotions, no one could really say that they are facing it maturely. Some simply stays quiet and holds the pain. Others didn't even understand what was going on. Some will doubt if what they feel is true and teh others could only wait. It affects us differently but I really don't think maturity couldn't be measured when it comes to it."

Hunter slowly chewed on the fruit in his mouth as he looked at her with raised eyebrow.

She rolled her eyes upon seeing his look, "Whatever."

He chuckled, "Well, I guess you are right. We all face them differently."

"How are you holding up?" he asked seriously afterwards.

"Doing fine, my body is getting better at controlling light," she replied.

Because of the sudden surge of power after Light hatched, Saphira couldn't control using it to the point of it overshadowing her fire.

She would end up purifying her surrounding without the intention to do so.

Because of this she would be drained more than in the past.

She would leave to go in a secluded area to train on her light ability because in the end, light was still a secret ability as of this moment.

"How far?" he asked.

"About a meter," she answered before taking the last bread from the bag, she even turned it upside down to see that there really was no more.

When she just started, she endedd up affecting a 100 meter radius surrounding her.

This caused the tress to grow taller and become even more lush, the flowers bloomed and the animals became so energetic.

This happened back in Felix's kingdom.

Zian's Empire, it was a good thing that Zian was already aware of it that the reason behind the sudden phenomenon was kept hidden.

Sincce thens he would go off on her own to train in secluded areas.

And now she was able to control a radius of one meter.

A big improvement indeed.

She had asked Zian to watch that place closely, for it could have attracted the dark side.

She really was careless back then but she was unaware of the strength light has.

Even light was shock that her compatibility with the light ability was so high thats he could squeeze such large amount of power from it.

"The limit?" he asked.

Saphira shook her head, "Still the same, I just couldn't break through from it. Once I reached that limit, I couldn't squeeze any more."

"How long?"

"One hour, I can only use it in an hour if the fight were to prolong, it would be a pointless ability."

'How can you call it pointless,' Light asked inside her.

"It is pointless because fights could be as long as a day, what is the use of one hour?" Saphira asked back.

Hunter simply looked at her, she had voiced this out.

'Hmmph,' Light turned her back as if Saphira could see her.

Hearing nothing from her Saphira shrugged.

"What happened?" Hunter asked.

"Well someone complained about my words but has nothing to retort when I told her the truth," she replied.

'Hmmph.'

She chuckled when Light harrumphed for the second time.

"She reacted?" Hunter was amused.

It seems Saphira has someone she can enjoy speaking with even when she's alone.

"She's just being temperamental," she replied.

She rested her chin on one hand while the other was poking the bag of bread that was now empty.

Hunter pushed to her the plate of fruits.

"Eat something else," he said handing her a fork.

She pouted, "If I knew the bread was delicious, I would have bought more."

"Be good and eat something else," he repeated.

"Fine."
