But Samuel was gone and the one who used that attack must have been the one who took him away.

She went down and finished teh remaining beasts seeing as there was too much shock in everyone.

Then with her enhancing her voice she commanded.

"Time to get back."

That is the only time everyone had snapped out of it.

It was a win on their side because they were able to defeat a whole lot of demonic beasts and even injured the one leading these demonic beasts but in the end something else caused the mood to change.

They returned to the castle and the other eight ended up entering the library with heaviness in the atmosphere.

Felix joined them because he felt worried upon seeing how affected they were.

Well not all of them since Saphira seemed angry and not shock.

It seems what shocked her was simply the fact that such a scene appeared after she had attacked Samuel and injured him.

"The memory that showed up when Samuel was injured by you, you didn't look like you were shock about it Saphira," Nixon asked seriously once they were all settled.

The library of the palace was really big.

It has its lobby at the first floor and the books are lined up on the walls.

The second, third and fourth were all filled with shelves and wall mounted shelves that are all filled up with different books.

The energetic Saphira who had loved this place and would always look for a book every single time they enter didn't even bother looking.

Currently, none of them was relaxing for most of them were in complete shock to what they suddenly learned about Samuel and his past.

Saphira thought for a bit before sighing, "You do know I have the habit of sleeping on trees right?"

"What of it?"

"There is one time where they met up in a place where I happened to be sleeping in. And I heard everything that they feel about us."

Drake thought back, Saphira was the same as them. They adore and respect the elite squad.

Well she wasn't so keen in adoring them but there is respect in her eyes towards them.

But there is a time where she started acting differently towards them and no one could tell the reason why.

And at times, he would see Raynisha looking at her with sadness after the team practice they always do with the rest.

"Geez, why do we have to keep on babysitting them?" Flora asked with her irritated tone.

She was always smiling warmly and would tend to their wounds.

She would give them cookies and candies every time they did a great job in their training.

But her look was entirely different now, it was twisted and arrogant.

"Emperor's orders. But if we use the time that they ask us to train those brats, to train ourselves instead then we would become even stronger. What's the point of being the elite squad then?" Chester followed.

"How about me then? That energetic girl just kept on clinging on me," Samuel added.

All three spoke with irritation and frustration plastered on their faces.

"Guys that's going too far," Ardel interrupted as he and Raynisha walked over.

"I wonder Ardel, do you really not feel envy towards your younger brother?" Cloud scoffed.

"Even if I have such a feeling, I would still do my duty and I will not turn my back on my brother," Ardel replied with a sigh.

They all scoffed at his answer.

"You could just train them on your own Raynisha," Flora followed.

"You are the only one holding a mythological beast and is not of the same age as them," she added.

Raynisha sighed, "They are still children, just six. You were all doing splendidly while you are teaching them. You have seen their improvement. Why can't you be happy with that?"

"Happy?" Samuel grimaced remembering Stormie.

"I'd rather train myself."

"Samuel!!" Ardel berated him.

"You are not the one receiving those eyes, it is irritating no matter how you put it. She was so young and she was already doing that."

He laughed, "I wonder what she would do when she gets old."

"Samuel," Raynisha was the one who spoke of his name this time.

Her aura turned serious and she even exuded an aura of authority.

"Whatever."

The three left with that and the two could only sigh.

Their team never had the friendship in their group.

It was plain duty bound connections.

"I just hope those kids won't hear about this," Ardel couldn't help but say.

"I do too. I'll stay here for a bit. Why don't you go ahead first?" Raynisha told him and Ardel did as he was told.

"Wow, I just watched a wonderful show."
