CHAPTER 10: Like Father Like Son

Hunter's brows twitched before giving her a light smack on top of her head.

An amused laughed stopped the two of them, and when they looked up they realized that they were already in the main hall.

The other students and teachers were sitting on the sides while the current Emperor and thee former emperor were sitting in front.

These students and teachers came because of their curiosity at what had happened.

And their curiosity at the reason why an orphan was able to get the former Emperor's attention.

Also, the one she had been speaking with, just who was he?

A person like him, who fluidly killed the ones she had weakened couldn't be forgotten so easily.

By now, only the two of them together with the principal were standing in the middle.

Saphira feels like they were being judged in a court room.

The one who laughed amusedly was the current Emperor.

"Hunter what were their names?" she asked.

But this was still heard by the Emperor who laughed heartily.

'Like father like son,' she couldn't help but think looking at the emperor.

"Just as you have said father, she is indeed a very amusing person."

The whole school was wondering just how did Saphira get to know the former emperor?

It was well known that even his real grandchildren couldn't call him in an affectionate way, only Grandfather.

But he let this person call him Gramps?

No, first and foremost, she just almost defeated three high leveled beasts on her own.

They also saw fire in the scene and the three beasts does not have it.

Which means she was the one who used that?

In the end, everything she showed was the complete contrast of how they knew her.

So was Saphira, the orphan?

The current emperor cleared his throat, "I'm Arthur Sherburn, the tenth Emperor of Scorpius Empire. It is to my pleasure to meet you young lady."

"The pleasure is mine your majesty," Saphira respectfully bowed.

A bow she never did to anyone or even the respectful tone that even the teachers or the principal didn't receive.

And the way she did it? She doesn't look like someone who is an orphan and was instead someone who was used to doing it.

"Hoho, you haven't used such tone with me," the former Emperor, Cyrus Sherburn, commented on the side.

"If you have informed me before hand of who I am facing then I would have given you the respect that I should have given," she replied with respect.

Her tone and demeanor had changed into that of not an orphan or the one she had been using.

Instead she looks like a noble lady herself.

That is what the whole place could see.

"Before we speak about your matter I would like for the principal to explain to me just what it is that happened today? If this student didn't act promptly, those beasts could have run rampant in the academy and the students lives will be placed in danger."

"Y- Your majesty, I also... I also have no idea as t-"

"Principal, let's not walk around the bush now. Those beasts came from under your office building. You even muttered the words how did they escape a while ago, don't think I didn't hear you," Saphira interrupted him.

"Shut up Orphan!!" he glared at her and Saphira just shrugged.

It really was not on her place to do anything here, she wasn't from this place anyway.

She just said what she knew, she has done her part.

Arthur sighed, the principal kept talking down at her and calling her orphan.

He also heard that she had been bullied all these years because she has no background.

At the same time, one of the dukedom whose child bullied her to whom she had defeated just this morning, were pressing them to give her to their family.

"Enough, just tell me the truth. You do understand that I have ways of finding out what happened as well right?" he asked looking at the principal.

The principal just wants some merit by looking into those high leveled demonic beasts, he didn't expect for them to actually get free from their shackles.

And now everything was out and he surely has no way of defending himself.

He could only bow his head.

"From this day forth you are removed from your position and your family shall suffer the consequences of you bringing danger within the academy," Arthur said seeing as he finally gave up on resisting.

"As for this student."

All eyes went to Saphira.

"Your majesty, please allow my family to give punishment to this student. She raised her hand against not just one but three children of the dukedoms."

It was the father of the leader of the bullies.

He saw the condition of his son and was infuriated that he went straight to the palace to complain.

The emperor told him that he will receive news later that day but then he heard that something happened in the academy and the orphan was once again involved.

So instead of heading home, he came straight to the academy.

Arthur sighed, he didn't expect for this person to come here.

"Student are you planning on making this into a bigger one?" he asked Saphira first.

"No, it was a children's fight, I want to leave it at that. Th hassle is too much, your majesty," Saphira replied understanding what he meant by making it bigger.

Arthur nodded his head in gratitude.

"Sir Alex Tatham," Arthur faced the Duke and started.

"Are you planning on pushing through with this and declaring war against Qillian Empire?"

Once this Empire was mentioned, the whole place turned into an uproar.

War against Qillian Empire? Doesn't that simply mean you are going for a suicide?

Qillian Empire was the biggest Empire, comprised of seven kingdoms together with the imperial city. Making it into eight kingdoms in total.

At the same time, it was also the strongest, housing seven mythological beasts.

The Duke of Tatham Dukedom, stared at the emperor blankly.

Why was the Qillian Empire involved?

Why did the Emperor brought it up?

"I am asking you again duke Alex Tatham, are you planning on declaring war against Qillian Empire?"

Arthur's face was serious even that of Cyrus.

"Because if you do then Scorpius Empire will not support you. You can go and fight against them yourself."

No one understood just what is going on.

They could only wait for the reason behind his words.

"N- No, your majesty, this subject has no plans of declaring war agaist Qillian Empire," the Duke replied still not understanding what was suddenly going on.

"It seems that all of you are in confusion as to why I mentioned Qillian Empire. Very well, allow me to reintroduce to all of you the student in question," Arthur stood up.

"I don't like the attention," Saphira whispered to Hunter.

She knew it is time for the reveal but the attention is surely something she had hated.

They could have done this in a different way.

"There is nothing else that you can do, being the people we are. Attention will always come to us," Hunter whispered back.

The former and current emperor could read their lips that they found them amusing.

"This student is Saphira Fiamma daughter of the Fiamma Dukedom from Qillian Empire."

Qillian Empire was the biggest Empire in the whole world.

Also deemed as the strongest Empire in history.

This is for the simple reason that the Empire was the combination of eight kingdoms.

Seven of which housed the seven mythological beasts.

In the past, those who wanted these beasts came in collusion to act against the seven kingdoms.

Understanding this mindset, the seven kingdoms come together.

Qillian Kingdom, Vermin Kingdom, Cerulean Kingdom, Ivory Kingdom, Ebony Kingdom, Wyvern Kingdom and Cosmic Kingdom.

Leonis Kingdom that was in the middle of all these kingdoms are about to meet its own doom as well that the king joined them.

At first it was just to fight the invaders together but soon they have decided to create an Empire instead.

The kings of these seven kingdoms being too bored that after succeeding in fighting off the invaders, they had another meeting for the creation of the Empire.

The votation for who will be the Emperor was done by the mythological beasts instead of the kings. The eighth king became the only human who joined the votation since they are still included in the collection of kingdoms for the Empire.

The end votes were a tie for Qirin and Vermilion Bird.

But Vermilion bird made all of the others see that he was but a lazy bum just like his host that overseeing an Empire is something not suited for him or his hosts.

This ended with Qirin and the Qillian Family becoming the Imperial family of the newly created Empire.

Qirin's host at that time had his lips twitched upon hearing the final reason why he became the Emperor.
