New Weapons!

Chapter 55 — New Weapons.

"Follow me, Jason. I'll show you to the armoury."

Jason followed Sasaki into the armour which was located in the next room. They walked along the hallway before coming across a giant mechanical door.

Swishh!

As it opened, the mechanical door let out some white gas.

Sasaki and Jason entered it.

"For the new prototype weapons, we had made three new beam weapons and three physical weapons. There is also other new stuff."

Sasaki explained as they stopped in front of the room where the weapons were contained.

Jason saw many different kinds of weapons being checked by the workers.

"The first beam weapon is a beam spear that will be mounted on the Rokurome's tail. After stabbing, the beam spear will activate to pierce the True Body."

"The second beam weapon is the Beam Spray Gun. It is a small weapon that can rapidly spray beams. It's suitable as a substitute weapon, and is good at clearing placenta arms."

"The third beam weapon is a modified energy rifle. In charge mode, it can deal more lethal lethal damage for better penetration. In rapid fire mode, it can fire bullet-like beams for wider range and faster response."

"For the prototype physical weapon, the first physical weapon is the high-speed vibrating katana. It has a similar ability to the Thunder Spear. Furthermore, it can easily slice through the alternating placenta armour of the Ship-Type Gauna."

"The second physical weapon is the modified machine gun hidden on the wrist, but was upgraded with more firepower and ammo duration. It now uses the Anti-Gauna Ammos."

"The third physical weapon is a powerful exploding homing missile. It's range and explosive abilities is like a nuclear bomb."

Jason was quite surprised to hear the variety of weapons.

"Is there more?"

Sasaki nodded.

"We've also created a large removable back unit for Rokurome. It is equipped with large and powerful thrusters which can significantly increase its movement speed. It can also transform into a weapon, when fully charged with particles, will launch an energy blast much stronger than the energy cannon released by Akai using the limit released sword cannon."

"That powerful…?" Jason was astonished, and felt it would work nicely against Ocarina or the Dragon-Type Gauna.

"How about the mantle? Will it work properly with the new back unit?"

Sasaki shook her head.

"The mantle is now removed. To compensate for your defense, we mounted two shields on both of Its arms. It's equipped with a camouflage system that will release specialized particles that will cloak its body, effectively hiding its own energy signature. And when you bump the two shields together, it will activate a gimmick that will combine a handle and blade placed within the shields to form an emergency sword."

"I see, those shields will work out fine."

Although it was a shame to see the mantle being removed, it was nice to see the addition of two shields on the arms.

Command Bridge |

The four people were working inside as usual.

But suddenly—

Alert!

Alert!

Dozens of warning alerts resounded inside the command bridge loudly.

The screen blinked and the camera image of a large Gauna appeared.

"Ocarina has disabled cloak and is now approaching Sidonia!" said one of the masked assistants.

'It's finally decided to move!' Yuhata sweated slightly.

"Ocarina has launched several Gaunas…!"

"It seems to not stop!"

The two masked assistants reported loudly with nervousness.

The camera image displayed the Ocarina releasing waves after waves of Gaunas like swarms.

"Immediately prepare strike forces for the mission!" Yuhata quickly ordered. "Small Mass Union Ship, Ocarina… There won't be next time!"

All available pilots were ordered to sortie out after Ocarina made its move. There were over one hundred Pilots who went to battle.

And Jason wasn't an exception either.

"We have finished mounting the new back unit, as well as the new weapons into Rokurome, Jason!"

Sasaki said while slapping Jason's shoulder.

"Don't break it again, will you?"

Jason laughed while closing his pilot helmet.

"Can't promise that!"

He quickly entered the cockpit, and sat down on the chair.

Jason soon grabbed onto the control joysticks, clenching it tightly.

'It's been a long time, partner!'

The ruby eyes of Rokurome shone with a bright streak of lights. Its two fusion reactors roared into life, quickly providing particles throughout the silver strand tissue.

The launch lift soon went underground, entering the launch acceleration tunnel.

Rokurome grabbed the support acceleration handle, the various side thrusters and new main back units flaring up with intense blue light.

Watching the tunnel lit up, Jason took a deep breath as his eyes sharpened like an unsheathed sword.

"Star Unit 666, Rokurome, heading out!"

Rokurome pushed forward, releasing a large trail of blue particles from the new back unit.

It accelerated so fast that it immediately broke the barrier of sound, constantly flickering like a ghost!

Jason grinned as he felt this intense speed slipping out of his control.

Today was Rokurome's comeback! Plus with new upgrades and weapons!
