The destruction caused by John had a great impact on his opponents.
Just then, a system notification popped up in front of John.
John opened the notification, and the system panel appeared in front of his eyes, showing that the number of bases destroyed had increased to two.
"So, I only have to destroy the base. Killing the people of RED doesn't affect the task," John concluded as he closed the system panel.
Before he could make a move, a ship he had noticed earlier had already reached their location and now hovered above their heads.
It slowly started to land in the destroyed clearing. John once again scanned the spaceship with his Observation Haki. Earlier, he had only tracked the outline of the ship through his Observation Haki and not the people boarding it, as he had been focused on quickly destroying the base. Moreover, the ship had been far away from his current position at that time, and he hadn't wanted to be caught off guard by the opponents in front of him by completely focusing on the ship.
As John scanned the ship, he found a few familiar presences. John sighed with relief as he didn't have to be surrounded by more opponents.
And even if the people boarding the ship had been from Magneto's faction, John wouldn't have been afraid. If things had really gone out of his control, he could have just teleported away with Lucy, who was hiding quite a distance away from the location of the fight at John's request.
He recognized the people exiting the ship as Logan, Jean, Mystique, Scott, and Alex. Behind them, Professor Charles also flew out in his wheelchair. Omega Red and Rhino looked at them with confusion and wariness, while Aurora and Toad seemed to be aware of the reason for which the X-Men had come.
Professor Charles Xavier, addressing Aurora and Toad directly, said "We are here to talk and find a peaceful resolution to this situation. We don't want any more bloodshed," he said, his voice resonating in their minds.
Aurora and Toad exchanged glances, knowing that they couldn't take on the entire X Men team, especially with Professor Xavier's formidable telepathic abilities.
Aurora stepped forward, her expression full of resentment and anger. "You can talk all you want, but we won't let you take him," she spat out, her eyes flashing with defiance.
Logan, also known as Wolverine, stepped forward, his adamantium claws glinting in the dim light. "We ain't here for a fight, kid. We just want to hear John's side of the story," he growled, his gruff voice cutting through the tense atmosphere.
Before the situation could escalate further, Professor Xavier intervened, "We want to understand what happened, and we believe in due process. We won't make any hasty decisions."
Aurora and Toad hesitated, their expressions conflicted. They were torn between their loyalty to Magneto and the knowledge that if they fight now, there was no chance they would survive.
Even John alone was enough to take them on. They had to come to a realization that earlier John had been holding back in the fight and could have killed them at any time. They came to this conclusion after seeing the destruction caused by John at the base. It was true that John had been holding back. The injuries he caused to Red and Rhino were far more severe than those of Aurora and Toad. It wasn't that he feared Magneto or anything. The real reason he didn't kill Toad and Aurora was that he didn't want the person who had started all this trouble and was now hiding in the shadows to benefit from it. He truly hated those kinds of people.
John observed the tense standoff, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew that the truth needed to come out, but he also understood the fear and anger that fueled Aurora and Toad's actions.
'Wait a minute, am I forgetting something?' John wondered, and then suddenly came to a realization.
'What about Wanda, Natasha, and Clint?' John smacked his thigh as he sprinted back to the destroyed base. He had noticed earlier that these three were approaching the base by circling it, but he was caught in a fight and decided to deal with them later, after confirming their motives. Furthermore, the sudden appearance of Aurora and Toad had led him to temporarily forget about them.
He was sure that neither SHIELD nor HYDRA were aware of his Observation Haki. If they had known about it, they wouldn't have sent Natasha, Clint, and Wanda to monitor him from such a close distance.
The people gathered there were surprised by his sudden actions.
"Logan, those two people are heinous criminals and are also responsible for my parents' death. Don't let them leave," John shouted as he rushed towards the base.
Logan grunted in agreement and looked at the two half-dead people who seemed to be bleeding from everywhere. Before he could do anything, Charles made a move and the two injured people fell to the ground, unconscious.
"Go help him," he said to the rest while he stayed near the ship and kept watch over Aurora and Toad.
Logan, Jean, Alex, Mystique, and Scott sprinted towards John, wondering what he was up to.
John, who had reached the base, used his Observation Haki to cover the entirety of it. He even let the Haki cover a few meters underground. After destroying the previous base, he knew that there was a chance that there may be a secret room underground.
The rest of the group caught up to John, looking around at the destruction he had caused. Logan approached him, asking, "What are you planning, John?"
"Just a second," John said and concentrated.
As he focused, he could sense movement deep beneath the ground. He sensed a total of 25 presences underground that were still alive, but seemed to be trapped inside.
Without hesitation, he started to dig through the rubble, using his enhanced strength to clear out the debris. The others who had arrived joined in, using their own abilities to aid John in any way they could.
