Author has asked me to name myself. I asked him why I couldn't just be Annilus. He said Annilus is the name of my race. Not the name of my individual self. I'm not sure what to think of that. I figure something out eventually. I told him I'd tell him my name later.

Anyways, Author did name my ship. He called it the Starseed, I asked him why and he said that it was the first ship I've ever made. He said I should store it as a historical monument after I land, then use the extra I put in storage. I'm not going to do that.

Anyways, I'm only three minutes away from landing on the planet. According to Author there is life on this planet. Author recommends avoiding them. Anyways I've got a working piston mechanism using Mass and Iron. Unfortunately I haven't been able to make a generator yet. But with the piston mechanism I can create my first weapon. Why I even need a weapon is beyond me since I can form spikes along any point of my mass. But it keeps me from boredom.

I've started to work on bacteria, as I don't have ancient knowledge to draw on I have to experiment in order to bring create the right strands. Biomass is difficult to work with compared to Mass. Mostly due to the complexity in forming organisms with biomass.

I've entered the planets atmosphere. Starting to burn. Adapting... adapting... No longer burning...

What was that? Instincts huh, I thought I had no ancestors to draw knowledge from. Adaptation is inherent among Annilus? How? Fine be that way!

What do you mean I can't consume the mass? That wasn't you Author? What was it? Annilus instinct? Why would it want me to not consume?

Alright, I'll hold from consuming this world. But we need to go to a dead world next. I need mass. Anyways, for now I need to adapt to take in energy. After I've filled 10 percent of my reserves let's find a dead world. Absorbing the dead worlds core will give us more than enough energy.
