Twilight: Rebirth

Death is a constant, but what happens when you get a chance at a second life? Gabriel was given a second chance in a world of supernaturals. Being gifted with powers beyond his comprehension. All he wants to do is find the meaning to a happy life, with friends, family and possibly some love? ********** (Beginning chapters are a bit rough, but the pacing and writing do get better a little after chapter 10. I was worried about my novel not being interesting, so I used overly complex words that really weren't needed. I'll try and go back at a later point and fix any glaring issues. If I mess up with the lore, please understand that I'm writing this novel for fun. I'm not getting paid for anything, this isn't locked behind some paywall. So please be kind.) #Romance #Reincarnation #R18 #Overpowered #SliceOfLife #Twilight

This Seems Familiar

"Ughhh..." A low groan sounded through the dark room. A guy flopped around on his bed, sweaty clothes clinging to his skin. His tossing and turning got wilder until he tumbled right off the bed, slamming hard against the floor.

"Damn it! What the heck was that?" He clutched his head, then slowly opened his eyes and looked around.

"How'd I even get down here?" He pushed himself off the floor and reached for the lamp on the nightstand.

The light flickered on, filling the room with brightness. He squeezed his eyes shut at the harsh light. After a moment, he opened them again and looked around the room.

"Guess reincarnation ain't as smooth as I thought," he said with a grin, looking around.

An enormous bed was at the foot of the room, and in the corner there was a bookshelf overflowing with many books: comics, science stuff, fantasy novels. Next to the bookshelf was a desk with a giant computer on it, like a beast of a machine.

The room was immense, easily the biggest bedroom he'd ever seen. It had to be like four normal bedrooms put together.

He got his balance back and walked over to a giant mirror that went from the floor to the ceiling. He stood up straight and looked in the mirror.

Staring back at him was what you might call a total heart throb. He was tall and lean, with muscles like a swimmer or a fighter. He had short black hair that was shaved on the sides and curled a little at the ends, and his eyes were a cool honey color. His jawline was sharp and strong, and his eyebrows were thick.

"Either God hooked me up with model genes or my family hit the jackpot in the looks department," he said with a smirk.

He totally forgot to wonder what he'd look like in this new world.

Lost in his reflection, a jolt of pain suddenly split his head open. Heat bloomed in his mind, and memories started flooding in like a burst dam. He sucked in a deep breath, trying to stay upright as the tidal wave of information crashed over him.

After a couple of minutes, the memories stopped, leaving him in a daze. Fragments of his past swirled around him like smoke.

'Okay, so parents who are never around. Dad's some big-shot movie director, flying all over the world making films. Mom's a rockstar, but for classical music? Didn't even know that was a thing.'

Lost in thought, he walked to the bathroom and started stripping off his clothes. Stepping into the shower, he let the hot water blast over him, slowly closing his eyes.

'My name is Gabriel Hudson, just turned 17. Mom and Dad decided they wanted a quiet life away from the Hollywood craziness, so they settled us down here. Joke's on them, though - they're never home to even enjoy the peace.'

He scrubbed himself clean and stepped out, wrapping a towel around his waist and walking back to his room. Reaching the massive computer, he hit the power button and sat down, mind still racing.

'We just moved here recently. Well, I did. They just hired movers to pack and unpack. This town is pretty depressing. Rains all the time, but it has some beautiful scenery with all the forests around. Though the name seems familiar... Forks?'

"Forks?!" He slammed his hands on the desk, eyes widening as forgotten memories flickered back. He remembered how God, well, whoever was up there, seemed awfully pleased when he wished for Alucard's powers.

"Seriously?! He reincarnated me into Twilight?!" Scrambling back to the computer, Gabriel fired up Google and typed in the first name that popped into his head: 'Charlie Swan - Forks Sheriff'.

Staring blankly at the Google homepage, he barely blinked. The prime article from a local paper, the Forks Gazette, displayed a picture of Charlie Swan - the spitting image of the guy in the movies.

Taking a shaky breath, he slumped back in his chair as memories of the Twilight movies flooded back.

A slow grin spread across his face at the crazy situation. "Immortal vampire hotties, werewolves, and probably some other freaky supernatural stuff? This is freaking awesome!"

Pumped, Gabriel threw his fist in the air, a joyous laugh erupting from his chest. He bolted over to his wardrobe, grabbing the first outfit that looked halfway decent: a white compression shirt tucked into black jeans, finished with crisp white Air Force Ones.

Stepping out of his room, he cruised down the hallway and took the stairs two at a time. There is no question that his parents' house was decked out. Walls of windows let in tons of light, a fancy chandelier sparkled in the entryway, and the living room boasted a fireplace that looked big enough to roast a complete cow.

The kitchen was straight out of a magazine, with top-of-the-line appliances that probably cost more than his last school's computer lab.

Compared to the Cullens' place in the movies, this house was a mansion.

"Guess they ain't shy about throwing money around," Gabriel muttered, running a hand across the smooth granite countertops in the kitchen.

A sly grin tugged at his lips. His memories were back in full force, and navigating the house he'd been in for the past week was a breeze.

Gabriel practically skipped to the front door, keys clutched in his hand. One perk of his absentee parents? Spoiling him rotten. Parked in the garage, like a gleaming metal beast, was his latest present - a brand new BMW M5.

Grinning like a Cheshire cat, he flung open the garage door and hopped into the driver's seat. Just as he reached for the ignition, a searing pain lanced through his head. A voice, one he never expected to hear again, echoed in his mind.

"Hey there, kid."

His head snapped around like an owl on patrol, searching for the source of the voice. Finding no one inside the sleek car, he blurted out, "Where'd that come from?!"

"Relax, kiddo," the warm voice chuckled inside his head. "Just a friendly chat in your mind. Won't take a sec, then you're free to enjoy life."

"I forgot to mention before I sent you off. There's no need to worry about the original Gabriel. He was kinda... on autopilot until you turned seventeen. Until then, your body was locked down, which is why you might not feel super strong yet."

Gabriel bobbed his head silently, a wave of relief washing over him. Reincarnation to kill some innocent soul wasn't exactly what he had in mind.

A hint of amusement flickered in the voice, likely picking up on Gabriel's thoughts. "You'll notice from now on, your wishes will kinda... take root within your body. Have fun with your new life, make some friends, get buff, and build the life you always wanted. See ya later, Gabriel."

With the voice fading away, Gabriel squeezed his eyes shut and silently thanked God once more before turning the car on.
