Chapter 2

I was reborn in the Twilight world as Damian Swan. Older twin brother of Isabella Swan. Our parents got divorced just three months after we were born. I was able to understand everything around me immediately after being born, so I used this time to make use of my [ Ability Creation ]. The first ability I created was [ Eidetic Memory ]. This way not only would I be able to remember everything I see but I will also be able to remember everything from my past life like the Twilight series. The next ability I created was [ Instant Mastery ]. The next few abilities I created were :

Shadow Creation : The ability to create constructs from shadows.

Shadow Spying : The ability to spy wherever shadows are present.

Shadow Realm : The ability to go into shadows.

Teleportation : The ability to go to places I've been to previously.

Elemental Manipulation : The ability to manipulate the elements.

Telepathy : The ability to read minds, move things with the mind, and influence the minds of others.

Weather Manipulation : The ability to change and manipulate the weather.

The Eyes of Fate : The ability to be able to see the different paths of future.

Ward creation : The ability to crate different types of wards.

Mana Pool : An internal energy reserve that grants the user the ability to cast magic.

Loki's Deceit : The ability to create illusions and take the appearance of another.

I was able to instantly master all of these abilities thanks to instant mastery which is a total cheat. I spent the rest of my years as a child by gathering information using my shadow constructs and bonding with my new family. As I got older I created a few new skills such as [ Martial Arts ], [ Blade Mastery ] and [ Cooking ] to take care of Bella. Bella and I became really close during this time as I would always be there for her when she needed me but would also give her space. On my tenth birth day I received my first wish and I became a hybrid vampire. I would go out into the night to test my new powers and drink from criminals such as murderers and rapists. Two birds in one stone.Just like this the years passed and the time for us to go to Forks finally arrived.

Me and Bella were sitting in our Mom's car with the windows rolled down. It was seventy-five degrees in Phoenix, the sky was clear blue. We were headed to the airport to go to our dad's hometown Forks.

In the Olympic Peninsula of northwest Washington State, a small townnamed Forks exists under a near-constant cover of clouds. It rains on this inconsequential town more than any other place in the United States of America. Me and Bella used to go there every summer until our fourteenth birthday when Bella finally put her foot down and even though I didn't have any problem with Forks I didn't want to spend all my time alone there as I know that nothing of consequence will happen there before Bella and I turn seventeen.

'' Bella, Damian,'' our mom said to us the last of a thousand times before we got on the plane. '' You don't have to do this. ''

'' I want to go. '' Bella lied. I knew she was doing this so our mother can enjoy her life with Phil. Bella was always the self - sacrificing one, while I was always the more outgoing and do what my heart wants type. I was really popular in our old school while she used to stay in the library. Still she didn't resent me for it. She knew I loved her and she was even grateful that I took the attention off of her. I never really got along with my mother. I didn't like the fact that she left all her responsibilities to Bella when she was so young. That's one of the main reasons why I learned the cooking skill.

"Tell Charlie I said hi."

"I will."

"I'll see you soon," she insisted. "You can come home whenever you want -I'll come right back as soon as you need me." I could see the reluctance behind that promise. She hugged Bella tightly while she gave me a more awkward hug which I returned with the same level of awkwardness.

It's a four-hour flight from Phoenix to Seattle, another hour in a small plane up to Port Angeles, and then an hour drive back down to Forks. I was admittedly really happy to be able to see dad again. He was genuinely pleased that we were coming to live with him.

After we got off the plane I greeted Charlie with a bear hug. '' Hey dad ! It's been too long. How are you ? ''

Charlie returned the hug with a huge smile and said, '' I'm great son. You've gotten so big. You must be quite the lady killer back in school huh ? '' Charlie wasn't exaggerating. I was currently 6'3 with the looks and build from my previous life. I had been confessed to a lot back in my old school but I never accepted them as those girls weren't the ones for me.

He gave Bella an awkward one armed hug as he said, '' It's good to see you Bells''

"You haven't changed much. How's Renée?"

"Mom's fine. It's good to see you, too, Dad." She wasn't allowed to call him by his name to his face but whenever he wasn't around she would call him Charlie which honestly annoyed me. Charlie was a good man and a good parent, more so than Renée. He genuinely cared for and loved the both of us. It was just hard for him to express it.

As we all got to dad's cruiser I sat in the backseat, leaving Bella to sit beside Charlie. She gave me a betrayed look to which I just replied to with a smirk. "I found a good car for you, really cheap. '' He told Bella when we were all strapped in.

I sat in the car in silence on the way home. Content to just listen to Charlie and Bella's awkward conversation. Eventually we made it to Charlie's. He still lived in the small,two-bedroom house that he'd bought with my mother in the early days oftheir marriage. Those were the only kind of days their marriage had - the early ones.

I took my luggage upstairs while Bella took hers. My room was on the second floor next to Bella's. The walls were painted cerulean blue with white drawings. There wasn't much furniture in the room. Just a bed,a desk and a wardrobe. It was simple and just the way I liked it. I unpacked my luggage quietly and crashed into my bed after I was done. I'd have to go hunt tonight and also set up the protection wards around my house. This was going to be a long night and I'll need the energy.

The next day I had breakfast with Charlie and Bella. After finishing up breakfast we got into the truck and drove toward Forks High School. Finding the school wasn't difficult, though we'd never been there before. The school was, like most other things, just off the highway. It was not obvious that it was a school; only the sign, which declared it to be the Forks High School, made me stop. It looked like a collection of matching houses, built with maroon-colored bricks. There were so many trees and shrubs I couldn't see its size at first.

We parked in an empty area that made it clear the it was not a parking spot and got off. We made it into the front office and greeted a red haired woman. When we told her our names her eyes instantly lit up in awareness which was not a surprise considering how small Forks was. Everyone knew everyone here so it would be no surprise to me to learn that we were the topic of many gossips. We took our schedules and maps and got back into the truck.

We drove around the school following the traffic and reached the parking lot. Other students had already started arriving. We had to separate once we got inside since we had different classes. I headed off to AP Calculus and Bella headed off to literature.

When I got to my class the teacher Mr. Sterling introduced me and pointed me to the only free seat in class...next to none other that Alice Cullen. Alice looked just like she did in the movie. Short spiky hair, overly thin frame and pale skin. She looked strangely excited to see me. I had allowed her to have a vision of me to let her know that I'd be coming but I don't know what she saw. I can only control the fact that she doesn't see me using my powers nothing beyond that. After settling down I turned to her and introduced myself, '' Nice to meet you. I'm Damian Swan.''

She took my offered hand and introduced herself,''Nice to meet you Damian I'm Alice Cullen.'' She said with her famous cheery attitude. Her enthusiasm was so contagious that I couldn't help the smile that came on my face.

''Hey Alice. I'm new here do you want to be my first friend ? '' She became so happy that for a moment I thought that she would start glowing even without the sun. '' Of course '' I nodded happily and we started paying attention as the class began. It was rather boring since I was way ahead of everyone here. After the class ended I walked outside the class with Alice who introduced me to her boyfriend Jasper Hale. Jasper also looked like his movie version with curvy blonde hair and pale skin. Alice gave Jasper a hug and introduce me,'' Jasper meet my new friend Damian Swan. ''

Jasper and I introduced ourselves to each other and talked between the walk to classes. Jasper and I found out that we got along pretty well. Both of us were quite mature and we both had a common interest in martial arts. Plus Jasper due to me being a hybrid vampire Jasper was able to calm his bloodlust just by being near me.

During lunch I found Bella sitting with two girls who I remember to be Angela and Jessica and two boys named Michael and Eric who were trying to flirt with her while Bella looked uncomfortable. I quickly sat myself in between her and the boys and said in my most intimidating voice,'' Hi, I'm Damian, Bella's older twin. What do you guys want to eat today ? Some punches maybe some kicks ? Hmm ? '' The boys backed away fearfully and Bella gave me a grateful look. I focused on my meal and after a while heard Bella ask, '' Who are they ? ''

I followed her gaze to the table in the cafeteria where the Cullens sat. Emmett was the first one I noticed. He had a big and muscular body and short black hair. On his right side was Alice and Jasper was sat next to her. When my gaze fell to the person sitting next to him I froze.

Sitting next to Jasper was the primary reason I chose to reincarnate in this world. Rosalie Hale had strawberry blonde hair that fell onto her lower back. She had a tall and lithe figure that contained grace and poise. Her face was exquisite. It was like an elite sculptor had sculpted her with utmost care. But her most unique feature was her eyes. They were two beautiful globes of amber that perfectly accentuated her hair. I felt like I could get lost in them forever.She sits with such poise and grace that she looks like a goddess among mortals.

I was abruptly brought out of my thoughts when Bella nudged me and said,'' Stop staring it's weird ''

Only then did I realise that I was staring at her and to my great surprise she was staring right back. Beside me I heard Jessica whispering,'' They are the Cullen kids. All of them are together. The big guy Emmett is together with Edythe, the brown haired girl sitting on his right.''

That made my brain halt for a second. I quickly looked to Emmett's right and sitting there was a brown haired girl that looked a lot like Edward. But that's not right. She doesn't exist in this universe. Wait a second...Edythe is the name used for Edward's twin in fan fictions. Is she Emmett's mate. It should be impossible, yet the way she sat and positioned herself clearly points to the fact that Jessica is telling the truth and she and Emmett are indeed a couple. Does that mean Rosalie doesn't have a mate ? Suddenly Alice's excitement upon seeing me is making a lot more sense.

Jessica unaware of my inner turmoil continued to speak,'' The short - thin one is Alice, she is a bit weird. She is together with the blonde guy who looks like he is in pain, Jasper. The cold looking girl next to him is Rosalie Hale. And the cute looking guy at the end is Edward.''

After hearing her badmouthing Alice who is my friend and Jasper and Rosalie who I know to be good people I had a hard time controlling my anger. I almost crushed the can of coke in my hand before I managed to control myself.

I looked at her and gave her my sweetest smile as I said,'' Miss Stanley are you acquainted with Alice ? No ? Then perhaps you are friends with Jasper ? No ? Then surely you have talked with Ms. Hale before ? No ? Then you mean to tell me that you have given judgment of them without even talking to any of them even once ? Miss Stanley are you perhaps a mind reader or a fortune teller ? ''

Without giving her time to respond I turned away from her leaving her with no choice but to shut her mouth. I turned to Cullens table and saw that they were all looking at me. I gave a small smile and wave to Alice who returned it with a beaming smile.

I turned to Angela to ask a question though I'm pretty sure I know the answer by now,'' Miss Weber can I ask you something ? Is Miss Hale single perhaps ? ''

'' Um...yeah she is. By the way, why are you talking like that ? ''

Bella answered in my stead, '' Ignore him. He always speaks like a gentleman in front of girls and wouldn't ever call them by their last names if they weren't friends. He was quite popular with the girls in our old school because of this and was confessed to by a lot of them as well. Though he always rejected them.''

'' I didn't reject them, I politely declined their offers. Politeness, Isabella, which is something you sorely lack unfortunately.''

Bella's eloquent response was sticking out her tongue. It was so cute that I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

After classes finished that day I met up with Bella. She was looking at the receptionists desk with a weird expression. I looked over and saw that Edward was asking the receptionist if he could switch classes. Bella looked at me and asked,'' Hey do I smell bad ? ''

''No you smell fine. ''

Edward glared at us and walked off. I was going to go after him and give him a piece of my mind when Bella held me off,'' Forget it. I'll confront him tomorrow. Let's go.''

Both us got into our truck and drove off. Two vampires at the forefront of both of our thoughts.
