A Step Back
Gu Xin Ye was going to help Qin Zhan tidy up the dining table after breakfast, but she was quickly kicked out of the kitchen and was made to wait in the living room.
She stared into the space while trying to come up with an excuse to leave the house.
Qin Zhan was now sober and she no longer needed to look after him.
"Are you leaving?" Qin Zhan asked as he walked into the living room.
He wanted to keep Gu Xin Ye around for a while longer. However, she realized that it was not going to be easy. He already made her stay for the night even without Gu Xin Ye noticing it. He should be patient and learn to take a step back when he needs to.
"Uh..." Gu Xin Ye stood up. "Since you are well enough, I don't need to stay here."
Qin Zhan touched the tip of his nose.
He was going to thank Gu Xin Ye for looking over him again but recalled her reminder to stop drinking too much.
