(PAUSED) One night, Faerie remembers that she wants to read a novel that was recommended by one of her students. Unfortunately, she forgets what the title was and decided to read another novel that she accidentally found on an old website. Because of how horrible the ending was, Faerie ended up leaving a review full of insults for the novel that has ended for years. It seems that this website has been dead and maybe she was the last visitor to this website. So she believes that her review won't be read by anyone. And just like that, Faerie left a review full of gag nonsense. "The worst ending in the world. If you, readers, agree with my opinions, gimme a million likes! Maybe there's a miracle for me to be transmigrated into this novel so I can change this shitty ending to becoming the best ending all of the time!" And now Faerie regrets her review that night. Faerie did transmigrate into the shitty novel by its writer who proclaimed to be a God. And her bad luck didn't end there. Faerie now possessed a hidden character's body whose destined to die at the hands of a tyrant. Now, what is Faerie supposed to do to change the shitty storyline into the best ending all of the time, and return to her life on Earth? --- Author's note: Related to chapters 01-13 which explains how the MC was able to enter the novel's world and why she was obliged to sign a contract by the Goddess with the reward: 'her life in her original world'. At the start of the story, I purposefully do not shorten and write in detail. That's because I want readers to feel the MC's mindset shift after meeting and interacting with all of the novel's characters, which was initially just focused on how to accomplish the contract. Although I am aware that you may become bored while reading 01-13, I encourage you to continue reading! Cause I am certain that this novel will not bore you! "You can't die." The voice of God was like a lightning bolt that suddenly struck in broad daylight.
Faerie's palms briefly trembled as she listened to a statement that seemed inviolable.
"How can you die when the storyline hasn't started yet?" They asked in very dignified voices as well as with pressure, which managed to send chills down Faerie's entire body.
Faerie gulped timidly and carefully put the teacup back on the table, afraid to spill it, let alone break it.
"So... What's my guarantee?" Faerie asked after managing to calm her breathing.
If 'can't die' was a form of guarantee given by God, then Faerie would gladly accept it.
With the 'immortality' she had during her time in the novel world, Faerie was able to move freely without fear. Thus, completing the contract would be very easy!
When Faerie intends to kiss the face and feet of the God who has been kind to her, God has again undermined her spirit and hope.
The God shook their head. "Of course not."
"U-uh?" Faerie stammered. The cup of tea that she wanted to take back, almost slipped out of her grasp because she was so shocked by God's words.
"Then... What do you mean by 'can't die?!"
Instead of answering, God fell silent suddenly.
Somehow Faerie could feel God's brow furrowing when saw the teacup was about to break due to Faerie's carelessness.
Faerie felt panicked.
'Don't tell me God is mad at me..?! With such thoughts, Faerie hastily put back the half-filled teacup. She even deliberately pushed the cup away from the side of her table.
The God clicked their tongues softly. They leaned forward and raised their hands slightly up. Instead of looking like lazy people, God looked very charming when they made such meaningless gestures.
The God snapped their fingers, and the teapot on the round table immediately moved by itself to pour the hot tea into Faerie's cup earlier.
Faerie only glanced at the teapot as if it was common for an object to move by itself.
It looked magical but didn't seem too surprising to Faerie who was already very tired mentally and physically.
The God who saw Faerie's reaction couldn't help but feel curious. "You don't seem surprised."
Faerie looked back at the God who was openly giving off a curious look.
"Are you seriously asking that?" Faerie asked back with an intonation of displeasing and annoyance.
The God shrugged in response.
Faerie narrowed her eyes, but she had no other choice but to answer the question God asked her.
'As much as possible... I must not offend someone like a God...'
"After everything that's happened to me all day... it's all the more shocking than seeing the teapot move on its own." Faerie answered with a straight face, but Faerie hugged her arms with her hands, trying to hide the trembling in her body.
'She's scared.'
The God looked at Faerie who was sitting, from top to bottom.
All the wounds on Faerie's body, both external and internal, had been healed.
But seeing the rips here and there on the light yellow nightgown, and the long, disheveled silver-white hair made God instantly understand.
Especially on her neck which is still clearly visible marks.
'This child has gone through many difficult things on her first day of entering this world.'
Even though God understood and felt sympathy, God couldn't apologize. God had to do that to see if Faerie deserved to be here.
And the result...
"I am very, very satisfied."
God smiled with satisfaction when they saw the performance of Faerie who had an unyielding spirit and was able to endure quite well despite the unexpected situation.
'Maybe... This time for sure...!'
Faerie frowned as she felt the cold on her back.
Faerie quickly looked back, but behind her was only an empty temple.
There were only the two of them in this holy temple, Faerie was sure about that but somehow she felt weird.
'What was that? I felt goosebumps for a moment.' Faerie thought anxiously.
"Why?" God asked, causing Faerie to immediately return to her original position.
"No, no." Faerie immediately denied God's question.
'Maybe it's just my feeling.'
The God looked at Faerie suspiciously but they decided to just let it be. "Okay. Let's continue."
"Ah, before that, please have another cup of tea." The God pointed at the filled teacup back to Faerie.
Faerie who couldn't possibly refuse God's friendly offer could only drink her tea without making a sound.
"You know the ending of the Princess Faerie?"
Faerie spontaneously nodded while sipping her tea.
Faerie Voller Randell.
It was the name of the poor Princess who will be killed by the first Imperial Prince, the main character of the novel world that Faerie was currently entering.
The poor Princess was thought to have been killed by a shipwreck but was hidden by her parents.
Faerie doesn't know what happened because it wasn't told in the novel, but suddenly the poor Princess was brought to the Moel Empire by the second Imperial Prince during the next Emperor's coronation ceremony.
The end of the poor Princess was death.
Faerie couldn't help but feel sympathy when she read the background that was only told a little in the shity novel.
The Princess was hidden somewhere and had no chance to see the outside world since she was a child, then when she grew up she was suddenly taken forcibly to see the outside world which she had not seen for a long time by the second Prince, only to be killed by the first Prince.
'This is all because of the main character and the brother of the main character!'
Faerie was trying hard to keep herself from openly insulting the character God had created in front of her right now.
Faerie didn't dare imagine the God in front of her getting angry and making her situation in the novel world even more difficult.
'Smile...! I have to smile...!' Faerie forced herself to smile widely. She was used to smiling even under heavy pressure.
She suddenly remembered when she had to hold a meeting with the parents of the college students she taught, in between her busy schedule. The parents of the troubled teenager grumbled again saying they did not accept that their child was suspended just because of a prank.
At that time Faerie smiled very wide, so wide that the corners of her lips stiffened.
Just like now.
"Strange," God commented when they saw Faerie smile.
"Y-Yes?" Faerie subconsciously answered nervously.
"Why are you smiling? Aren't you angry?"
"Rather than being angry, I feel sympathy for her pitiful fate." Faerie tried to answer calmly, even though her heart was beating fast.
"Hoo, sympathy huh?" The God nodded their heads, before continuing their sentence again, "so, you've thought of a way that you can avoid that pitiful fate?"
"Huh?" Faerie gaped, not understanding God's question.
"Why are you confused? I ask, did you already anticipate the death of the Princess, the body you are currently in?"
"Haaahhhh?!" Faerie exclaimed long and loudly. She even hit the table in surprise.
"I...? I... what did you just say?!"
"You. enter. body. the Princess." The God deliberately repeated briefly, clearly, and concisely so that Faerie would not misunderstand again.
"Body. Princess."
"Body... Princess?" Faerie muttered as if she still couldn't accept the shocking information.
"Lord God, you lied, right?!" Faerie hit the table again but the God swiftly anticipated Faerie's movement by lifting the table into the air.
"Why do you look so angry? Didn't you just say that you only felt sympathy?" The God looked at Faerie in confusion.
'Human emotions are a difficult mystery to solve.'
"That's another story!" Faerie screamed hysterically.
'How can I enter a red flag character, who is destined to die?!'
'Damn it! You ugly black ball!'
God sighed. God wanted to research more about human emotions, but unfortunately,y God had to stop that intention before even trying.
Because the time God had to talk to their beloved contractor was about to run out.
"You don't remember what I said?" The God decided to interrupt Faerie who was silent because she was busy cursing the God with the various harsh curses she was chanting in her heart.
Instead of answering God's question, Faerie just stared at God with a sharp gaze.
"You can't die except 2 things."
"First, die with the sword of the first Imperial Prince."
Faerie glares at God. "I-"
God cuts in with a calm voice. "Just listen."
Faerie immediately shut her mouth.
Instantly she forgot her plan that would not offend or stir up God's emotions.
'I'm done... Stupid mouth!'
As Faerie lamented at her stupidity, God continued the explanation.
"Since you are already destined to die by the first Prince's sword, then I will give you a very favorable guarantee."
"W-What? Favorable guarantee for me?" asked Faerie doubtfully.
"Here."
The God let out a light that was initially dim now into a ball the size of a toddler's palm, which suddenly appeared from both of their palms.
The orb in the form of white light was exquisite but it did not dazzle her eyes, but rather made her feel a familiar warmth.
As the orb of light flew and touched Faerie's fingertips. The orb of light slowly began to change shape.
"Brooch?" Faerie blinked her eyes when she saw the 'thing' in her palm.
"Ah, don't mind that. This orb of light can change shape into as many things as the user wishes." said the God nonchalantly. But for some reason, the corners of their lips lifted when they saw the shape of the brooch.
Faerie blinked her eyes when she saw the brooch that formed an oak tree whose branches each had beautiful green crystals, like fruits. "Ah... Okay... So what is this?"
"It's called 'God's Blessing'," The God smiled and continued, "it has only one function."
Faerie listened to God's explanation expectantly. That's because, in terms of name and appearance alone, this brooch looks very valuable.
"To contact me."
Faerie blinked her eyes in surprise. "Yes?"
"As you know. The descent of a God into this world is very difficult. This might distort the balance."
"The people of this world can only hear my voice through the temple, which can only be done on the appointed day, month, and year."
God pointed to the brooch. "But with the tools I gave you. You can communicate any time, even call me when in an emergency."
Faerie's expression immediately changed instantly. "This is my guarantee?!"
"Right."
Faerie wanted to scream hysterically with joy.
'There is no more beneficial ally than God, the most powerful being in the world!'
But she stopped when she heard God's next words.
"It's too early to be happy. I have other guarantees for you."
Faerie almost ran and kissed God on the cheek, if only God didn't stop her action soon.
"I love you, Lord God!"
