Tokiwadai Middle School - Queen's Room, Shokuhou Misaki.
1:15 am.
Misaki's room was dim.
There were two beds in the room, but only one of them was being occupied by someone.
Shokuhou Misaki was sitting against the wall on her bed.
She was wearing pajamas with star decorations.
She was checking her cell phone.
If Kanaru saw the wallpaper of her cell phone, he would be very surprised.
It was an image of Kanaru sleeping.
She took many photos of him when Kanaru was in a coma and she used one of them for her wallpaper.
'He never liked the photos. I'm glad he doesn't know about this, otherwise...' Misaki thought
1:30 am.
'Looks like he won't come. It's weird, he's never been late.'
She began to worry about him.
She had a rough idea of Kanaru's power, but even so, she was always worried about him.
"I'd better go to sleep."
She placed her cell phone on her desk and lay down on the bed.
1:35 am.
A faint black flash suddenly appeared in her room.
Misaki opened her eyes.
Even though the room was dimly lit she could see someone sitting on the bed next to her.
That person had gray hair with black patterns, he was Kanaru.
But she noticed something different about him.
His eyes were red, like the first time they met.
No, his eyes looked like a flame was hiding there.
"Sorry, I'm late." Kanaru said in a low voice.
"Don't worry, you sure had something important to do." Misaki said with the same tone of voice.
She was still lying down.
"Are you stressed about the festival?" Kanaru asked. He was looking at Misaki.
"Yes… there are many things I have to do as one of the level 5 espers from this school. They are still looking for a level 5 esper to host the opening with me and and it's impossible for Misaka-san to do it."
Kanaru sighed.
"I should intervene in that." he thought.
He looked around.
"This is the fifth time we've met here. I am amazed that I can come so easily into a beautiful woman's room. It seems that we-"
Before he finished speaking a yellow pillow smashed into his face.
"Stop! Don't say such things so easily!" Misaki screamed.
Her face was as red as a tomato.
Kanaru grabbed the pillow.
"Luckily I isolated the sound from this room, otherwise we would be in trouble."
He placed the pillow next to him.
"What did you have to tell me?" Misaki asked remembering Kanaru's message.
Kanaru closed his eyes for a moment.
He once again considered all the consequences of this conversation.
Soon after, he opened his eyes. He came to the same result.
"We have to talk about our future." Kanaru said in a warm tone, something strange about him.
And even though she couldn't see him, he was blushing.
Misaki got up from the bed abruptly.
