Hubrid snores as he sleeps peacefully, as Druchess looms over him with staff in hand. Druchess stares at Hubrid, holding his staff above his head as he contemplates what he'll do. He drops his staff to the ground; it clanks against the ground of the cavern. The sounds of his staff hitting the ground awakes Hubrid; he darts his eyes open in excitement.
"Are you going to tell me about it today!?" Hubrid asks enthusiastically
"What did Haaura do to allow people to reach godhood!?" Hubrid asks as his interest peaks.
"..." Druchess stares are Hubrid as he stands in shock, he regains himself and begins to speak after he lets out a fake cough.
"Although she sat at the pinnacle of power. She did not wish for there to be a hierarchy. She wanted a way for mages with strong wills and determination to one day reach her level of abilities."
"How can I see it!?"
"Close your eyes and listen to me... Despite you not knowing this, there is yet another important god you should know about; It exists inside every person." Druchess paces back and forth across the room as he made exaggerated arm movements, "Have you ever wanted something so bad, Hubrid? So much that you'd do anything to achieve it?"
"I want to save everyone back at the farm more than anything. So we can all be free," Hubrid says with pluck as he clenches down on his bloody fist that had his dried up blood on it.
The water that had soaked Druchess's robe continued to drip as his tears fell along with them, they continued dripping as Druchess remained. He attempted to keep his voice steady and mind calm as he continued explaining. Hubrid's eyes remained closed as he heard the water slapping against the ground of the cave as the droplets echoed.
"That is what we call will. Your people did have a god; you still do today. His name is Rosuille. Unlike those who've cast aside their names, he was different. He wished for everyone to feel his presence but was too prideful to throw away his seat in the heavens. So he broke through his boundaries and chose both.
"Why couldn't anyone else do it?" Hubrid asks as he began to open his eyes slightly.
"Do not open your eyes!" Druchess shouts as his tears continued flowing to the
ground.
He clears his hoarse throat, "Because he wanted it so badly that no force in this world
could stop him."
"What about Hauura? Couldn't she stop him because she's the strongest?"
"Enough questions, for now, Hubrid. Haaura is the strongest of them all but, power isn't all that matters. She wouldn't want to stop him either-even if she could. Will isn't something magical or physical. It is something that all people have, will is unbiased."
Hubrid begins to try to peek at Druchess as he sat in silence next to him on his bed.
"Do not open your eyes!" Druchess shouts at Hubrid in anger as he cowers back.
Hubrid retorts by putting his hand over his face. As he does so, Druchess walks over to his staff and prepares to use it.
"Tell me, Hubrid, why won't you open your eyes?"
"Y-you told me not to..."
Druchess's staff gleams with a purple aura as it embodies Hubrid.
"Open your eyes now."
"I can't!" Hubrid says as he begins to claw at his eyes as his eyelids refuse to budge. With all of his might, his eyelids refuse to move as he tries prying them open.
"That is because my will is stronger than yours is. This power is something that anyone can use. Mages too can have a strong will but, people like you excite Rosuille, your people. In order to fight back against the natural disadvantage they were born with. They could manifest a different kind of aura from what I, and, my people have."
Hubrid runs around the room, blinded, and trips over Druchess's beard nearly falling to the ground. He wobbles around to keep his balance as he hits the wall.
"... As I was saying... There are two different kinds of aura. One of the auras that magic users wield and one that your people wield. This aura," Druchess tenses his arm as his arm becomes a dark purple, surrounded by a light purple hue. "Is called Indoolgo." His other arm begins to grow as his biceps begin to pulsate; veins reveal themselves on his fragile old body.
"This one is Resolou, a physical power that you and your people embody. This power can make people- oh yes... you're still blinded..."
"Huh? I can still see you what are you talking about?" Hubrid says in confusion as he turns to Druchess.
"It was hard at first but I can see small parts of you. I see both of your arms and a little bit of your chest; your beard is blocking nearly everything though.
"What do you see right now?" Druchess asks as he pulls back his arm and charges up a punch.
"I see a really big arm-," Hubrid is knocked out with a swift punch as he fumbled to the ground.
"No, Hubrid, you've seen too much," Druchess says as he walks over Hubrid's head and places both of his hand's on top of his head gently.
'Guess I'll have to start over from square one... May the Gods forgive me... '
