07. The Guild

A few days after the babies were born I was able to ask Lord to go into the city to explore and get my guild card. he said I could and gave me 200 large silver coins with about 50 small gold coins and 10 large gold coins. as i not only helped to keep the rest of his troops and daughter safe but also the triplets and his wife as well. I was told how the money worked when I asked. there are silver bits used by weight and then small and large silver and gold coins. then small platinum coins and them Kings large platinum coins given by only the king. 100 small silver=1 larger silver and 100 large silver=1 small gold 100 small gold= 1 large gold and 100 large gold= 1 small platinum. if you want to trade for the kings gold coin then an auction is held. 1 kings gold is about 500 small platinum. a kings gold is superior in quality and has a magic property. normally at least one that prevents copies.

as i walked to the guild with Rivali guiding me I noticed Rivit pearched on my shoulder and told the both of them that when we get to market id buy them grilled boar skewers. they agreed in delight. and i sped up to keep up with the contracted raven who had decided to delightfully speed up.

ariving into the guild i notices malicious glares that id probably hear from later. when i arrived at the guild, the guild leader was called out to talk with me about the dead guards i brought back. "my name is Fendel, and on behalf of everyone id like to say we are in great debt to you, for you to bring back our dead comrads. on behalf of the city and the family's with the dead. we thank you. your application will be free. and will be taken care of by me personally."

i looked at the guild leader as he was talking and noticed his trustworthy personality through my sense of his personality (I used magic and my skill given by thr gods.) I told his my status as well as showed him the fact I was a person from another world and told him my plans to better a few kingdoms.

"i want to make a few games from my previous world. to be avaliable to nobles and commoners. to bring this worlds state of life a lot higher then it is now. its current rate of health care is abysmal. the current king of this land is letting his subjects down, with my health related knowledge from my old world I could bring the health rate high enough that the slums in the world could be reduced to half in the next 30 years. the games that kids could play would give the kids who can't work something to do. kids who don't read or write could learn with out work or worry since the tax rate would be managed and the crops could yield better produce. my plan to improve the world starts with the evil that was awakened 100 years before i transfered here." River explained his goal to the guild leader and after a lengthy period of thought his reply astonished the newbie.

He said,"if you don't plan to harm us then you are good in my books. we could all use a new outlook on life as the ones not able to properly work think they are a burden to their family's. the ones who could work but are just sick keep increasing as more of them turn into adventures. they don't go farther than getting maimed by boars before realizing too late that the equipment they can afford is not enough to even barely take a single goblin out. so if you can change this worlds look on life then I'll be behind you at any time you need me." with that I was given a healing job from the healer in town who needed a level 3 healer for a temporary job in the medical ward in the guild where the doctors in each town do their work. "job starts tomorrow if you need it. you are mostly doing the casting. thats what will be required. check wounds clean them prescribe a decotion of herbs when needed. otherwise follow orders of the senior doc. he's a good man and it will give you time to see if he can be trusted for the field specific goal you have for the world. ill see you then our receptionist will lead you there from the front counter when you arrive. show her the paper for the job. see ya."

I was guided out of the room so I decided to head back to the mansion as it was nearing dark to check on my first job here and when to bed after telling city lord of my new part time job. that i would do morning there and afternoon here.
