"It had been approximately three days since the crew departed from the Drum Kingdom. Luffy currently sat atop the head of the Going Merry, accompanied by Chopper. Together, they gazed out at the vast horizon.
The rest of Luffy's crew had found their own spots on the opposite side of the ship, engrossed in their individual activities.
Nami, Nojiko, and Marianne luxuriated on beach chairs adorning the back deck, basking in the glorious weather. Zoro, Sanji, Gem, and Usopp engaged in a lively game of cards on the main deck.
Johnny diligently manned the watchtower, keenly observing the surrounding ocean. Mikita and Yosaku diligently cast their lines, patiently fishing for their next meal. And Vivi, accompanied by Karoo, joined Luffy and Chopper on the foredeck, gazing intently into the endless expanse of sea before them."
"After departing from the Drum Kingdom, the entire crew celebrated their newfound comrade all night long. Over the following two days, the crew familiarized Chopper with every in and out of the ship, but despite everything Chopper had encountered, he was still captivated by the beauty of the endless ocean.
"Wow, Luffy!" exclaimed Chopper in awe. "The ocean seems to go on forever, doesn't it?" he said, lifting his hand to shade his eyes as he peered into the horizon.
"Yes," Luffy replied nonchalantly while pouring himself a glass of whiskey. "The ocean is expansive indeed. It's only us, pirates, who can embark on epic adventures like this," he added with a small smile."
"Extraordinary!" Chopper exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with admiration. "Being a pirate would be absolutely incredible!" Chopper added, eliciting laughter from Luffy before he responded.
"That's right, Chopper," Luffy said, taking a sip of his drink. "Absolutely right," he added, nodding. With that, Luffy leaped up from his spot, effortlessly landing on the foredeck beside Vivi without spilling a drop of whiskey from his glass. He then turned to face his crew and addressed them.
"Listen up, everyone!" Luffy shouted, striding forward and gazing down at the main deck, demanding everyone's attention.
"We'll be reaching Alabasta soon, so now is not the time to relax," he said, prompting Chopper to leap off Merry's head and stand beside Luffy.
"What is Alabasta?" Chopper asked, glancing at Vivi.
"Alabasta is the kingdom ruled by Vivi's father," Luffy explained before leading the way to the main deck, with Chopper, Karoo, and Vivi following closely behind.
"Yeah, but there's this guy named Crocodile who's trying to take over Vivi's father's kingdom," Usopp chimed in, causing the rest of the crew to put down their cards and turn their attention to Luffy.
"And to make matters worse, Crocodile is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea," Nojiko added as she, Nami, and Marianne descended to the main deck.
"Who are they?" Chopper asked, his face filled with confusion.
"They are pirates who work with the World Government," explained Luffy, leaning against the side of the ship.
"The world Government supports pirates?" Chopper asked, his voice filled with surprise.
"It might sound strange, but the Seven Warlords of the Sea, also known as the Shichibukai, are powerful pirates who are endorsed by the government.
Their purpose is to defeat other pirates one by one, so the government supports this Shichibukai program," Luffy clarified, sharing information about the Seven Warlords with his crew.
"The idea is to have these pirates eliminate all the other pirates," Luffy concluded, causing Chopper to nod in understanding.
"Crocodile is considered a hero where I come from," Vivi said, capturing everyone's attention.
"He defeated all the pirates who attacked Alabasta. But his actions, he only seemed good on the surface. In reality, he's a bad person," Vivi explained, her face contorted with anger.
"Because he's a pirate," Luffy added calmly.
"In fact, he manipulated the citizens of Alabasta to incite a civil war, all in his quest to seize control of the country," Vivi continued, disregarding Luffy's comment.
"Relax, princess," said Zoro as he stood up and walked towards his captain. "I don't care if this Crocodile is a Shichibukai or whatever; he can't beat my captain," Zoro confidently declared, causing Luffy to chuckle, while everyone, except Chopper, smiled.
"Don't you guys think you're being too casual about all of this?" Vivi shouted, her face filled with anger. It truly infuriated her how relaxed they all seemed.
In her mind, she believed that they didn't fully comprehend the power of a Shichibukai. Yes, Luffy was undoubtedly strong, but in Vivi's eyes, he wasn't at the same level as a Shichibukai.
"Luffy is strong, but we're talking about the Shichibukai here! These are pirates who the World Government deemed powerful enough to work with! Don't any of you understand that!?" Vivi shouted, her anger evident as she looked at the entire crew.
"Calm down, Vivi, or you're going to give yourself a stroke," Nami said soothingly as she walked over to stand beside Vivi. "And besides, Luffy was a member of a Yonko's crew. So Crocodile is just a minor obstacle for him," Nami explained, causing Luffy to nod in agreement.
Nami is correct in saying that Crocodile is a minor problem, but not solely because Luffy was part of a Yonko's crew; it's because Luffy is genuinely incredibly strong.
"There are plenty of people who are part of a Yonko's crew but wouldn't stand a chance against a Shichibukai.
Just being part of a Yonko's crew doesn't automatically make someone strong; they have to be strong in their own right," I explained, trying to make Vivi understand.
"You're part of a Yonko's crew?" Vivi asked, her disbelief evident on her face. Luffy sighed and nodded in confirmation.
Luffy was growing increasingly frustrated with Vivi. If it weren't for their agreement, he would have thrown her into the sea long ago.
"You keep underestimating me, princess," Luffy said with a sigh. He was about to continue speaking, but before he could, Chopper interjected.
"What's a Yonko?" Chopper asked, his curious eyes scanning the faces of the crew. Silence filled the air, and everyone turned their gaze towards Luffy, expecting him to provide an explanation.
"The Yonko, or The Four Emperors Of The Sea, are the four most renowned and formidable pirate captains in the entire world," Luffy explained. Chopper's eyes widened in astonishment.
"These individuals occupy the treacherous New World, the second half of the Grand Line. They hold immense power and command numerous pirate crews, each with their own island territories," Luffy elaborated, captivating Chopper and leaving the rest of us awe-struck.
Luffy's smirk grew wider as he decided to further boggle their minds. "And here's the real kicker: all four of these pirates have bounties exceeding 1 billion berries," Luffy revealed, his satisfaction evident on his face.
"O-over 1 billion berries!" they all exclaimed simultaneously, their voices filled with disbelief. Luffy couldn't help but burst into laughter at their stunned reactions.
"Can you believe it?" Sanji exclaimed, shaking his head in disbelief, while the rest of the crew nodded in agreement.
"But wait, Luffy," Zoro interrupted, a bewildered look on his face. "You said they're part of the Three Great Powers, but there are only four of them. What about the third?"
Luffy grinned mischievously. "Oh, that's another story. I'll tell you guys later."
"Three Great Powers?" Vivi asked, her face contorted with confusion. Luffy nodded in response. "What does that mean?" she questioned, her eyes fixed on Luffy, seeking an explanation.
"I've heard that term before, but I've never really understood its significance," Gem chimed in, speaking from his seated position on the floor.
"That rings a bell," Zoro added, supporting Luffy's explanation from his spot beside him. "I remember hearing about it when I used to be a pirate hunter."
Luffy grinned, eager to share his knowledge. "The Three Great Powers are three incredibly influential forces in the world: the Yonko, the Marine Admirals, and the Seven Warlords of the Sea. They maintain a delicate balance of power, each wielding immense influence and strength."
"The Three Great Powers are the three largest military forces in the ocean, which consist of the Marines, the Shichibukai, and the Four Yonko," explained Luffy, capturing everyone's attention.
"These powers exist to maintain a delicate balance in the world. If this balance is disrupted, the world can descend into chaos.
It's a fragile equilibrium, and if a key member like a Yonko or a Shichibukai were to disappear, the balance would be instantly altered," Luffy continued, causing everyone to nod in agreement, demonstrating their understanding.
"So, let's say if one of the Yonko were to die, what would happen?" Nami asked, her expression brimming with curiosity.
"And that's when they started fighting for territory," Nami stated, prompting Luffy to nod in agreement. "I understand now. That's insane," she exclaimed, causing Luffy to burst into laughter.
Luffy was about to address the rest of his crew when a shout from the watchtower interrupted him, capturing the attention of both Luffy and everyone else.
"Captain!" Johnny shouted urgently, catching their attention. "Pirate ship approaching!" he exclaimed, pointing towards the port side of the ship. Luffy turned around to look, while the others stood up and waited for his orders.
"You have to remember that each Yonko has several islands under their protection or control. The more territory they control, the more influence and military power they possess," Luffy explained, pausing to ensure everyone understood.
"If one of the Yonko dies, then all of their territory will be up for grabs," Luffy continued, causing a look of realization to dawn on Nami's face.
"Everyone, prepare for battle!" Luffy shouted, prompting everyone to dash off and make preparations while Zoro stood by his captain, tying his bandanna around his head.
Luffy then turned his attention to Chopper, who seemed unsure of what to do. Luffy scolded him gently before speaking.
"Prepare yourself for the true essence of the pirate lifestyle, Chopper," spoke Luffy with a grin spreading across his face.
He leapt over to the edge of the ship and rested his arms, observing as the pirate ship gradually made its way towards them.
