CH 33: Two Things

Ruler and Rider stepped out of the mist and appeared before the other members of the Warclan. Once they confirmed that he was safe and unharmed, everyone began making their way to their respective moves.

Ruler did not head to the beginner or weaker dorms but made his way to the elite dorms which he could not visit 2 years prior.

He had become a much more important member of the Neo clan and had even risen up to being 3rd in command following Domina and her husband Jaeger.

This was due not only to his powers and combat abilities but also to his diverse skills and leadership abilities. He had commanded squads for over 20 missions and always came back with light or no injuries for every member.

Many even began referring to Ruler as Lucky Charm because even on missions when he was not in command, the number or severity of injuries was greatly reduced.

When Ruler and Rider arrived back at his room, they were greeted with the Saber twins sparring in his room. The room was almost empty and very large so the pair were not worried about destroying any of Ruler's things.

The pair paused for a moment when they noticed the two enter before continuing their battle. Ruler and Rider stood to the side and watched.

Saber Brother/B would try to overwhelm Saber Sister/S with his number of projectiles and their long-range ability but Saber S was able to fend off the attacks and remain unscathed, even while moving toward Saber B.

'Seems like the girl improved once again. Her brother has been too stupid and unwilling to learn and improve while she is overtaking him. At this rate, even I will be able to overtake Saber B.'

Ruler turned to Rider and saw the disappointment in his eyes when he looked at the brother. It was obvious that Rider was also looking down on the male twin. Of all the Servants, the only 3 who did not show improvement in skill and personality were Saber B, Berserker, and Avenger.

Berserker because she was a psychopath who did not take anyone else's opinion into consideration if it opposed her own. Ruler simply had almost no way to properly communicate with her even if she called him her commander.

Avenger was literally a goddess reincarnate who was as perfect as she could be at the moment. She could not have been said to have any flaws but was simply true to herself. Her only fault/weakness might have been her love for Lucha Libre. Her ascension requirements were very difficult to complete at the moment.

Saber B was simply stubborn. He had no mental condition nor did he have peak level abilities. His abilities were actually quite weak compared to other Servants under Ruler and could be beaten by any one of them in one on one combat.

Soon, a blade was at Saber B's throat and he had no way to counter. Ruler just looked at them as if it was expected before having both of them return to their card.

Ruler had been leaving one of his Servants out and not having to be involved in combat so that they could train and have more positive experiences other than just being involved in combat.

Ruler could feel that his choice was correct due to the increase in closeness with each of the Servants. The only ones who still did not like him were Mr. Hyde and Saber B.

Ruler left Rider to do as he pleased while Ruler went into the bathroom to clean himself up. Although he was not injured, he did get some blood on himself after killing so many people. He also just enjoyed a nice bath.

When he came out of the bathroom in a robe, Ruler saw that Rider was nowhere to be found. He simply shrugged his shoulders before putting on some underwear and getting into lotus position in the center of the room.

Ruler began doing his daily breathing technique practice in order to relax his nerves and feel a closer connection to his magic circuits.

By the time Ruler awoke from his deep meditation, it was already the morning. Ruler stood up and got dressed before heading to the kitchen for a quick bite and then the conference room. He knew that a meeting would occur after the screw up that happened the night before.

When he arrived, he saw that not only were the Warclan's elite present but even some of the other Neo clan leaders were present.

'Looks like this is more than just a rundown over Master Mold.'

Ruler stood behind his group and did not say a word. He simply waited for the meeting to officially begin while eating his strawberries and grapes.

Standing beside him was Ember who had also risen through the ranks quickly with her powerful and diverse powers.

After about 30 minutes of waiting, all of the Neo big shots had arrived. The meeting was officially beginning.

"Let us get begin by saying the two important things this meeting is about. The first is Master Mold. The second is a unification of Neo and alliance with the mutants," stated Domina. She was the unofficial leader of all the Neo clans and her words carried a large amount of weight.

The others nodded at Domina's first sentence but were shocked about the second. No matter how close they were, every Neo was a prideful person and it would be difficult to unite every clan under one banner.

Ruler was surprised. He was planning on bringing this up later but did not expect Domina to say it.

'Looks like not all of the Neo are as blind as I thought they were.'

What was even more inconceivable was an alliance with the mutants that they considered beneath Neo. Requiem, leader of the Lost Souls clan, was the one to point that out.

"If it was simply unification between the Neo, you might have had a chance of accomplishing that. Ever since Ruler and Ember joined you, your clan is undoubtedly the most powerful. But you want us to work with 'Spikes'? Unbelievable!"

Many other members nodded in agreement. The Warclan definitely was the most powerful but it did not mean that the other's would simply submit to whatever they said.

"It is believable. The world is not going in the same direction as we had once expected and mutants are not as weak as they used to be. There are those called Omega-Level who can even threaten an entire clan.

To stay by our old beliefs and be blind to what is really going on, is foolish. So yes. I expect everyone to come to an agreement and be able to see that we need a mutant alliance."

Domina stared at Requiem who returned it back. Both were looking at each other for 15 seconds before Requiem backed down.

Domina smiled at her small victory before looking around at the other clan leaders. Requiem was the only leader who showed opposition to the idea, ironically.

'How does the leader of the empath and emotional clan be so blind to the world?'
