The next day, we continue our journey and all I can think about is how much I need to get to him. I haven't heard from him since I agreed to do things his way. He wants to trust this guy, then I will give him that much.

Roman is someone that I would have killed upon finding out the truth about his betrayal but now, with Col, I can't do anything but give him a chance to redeem himself.

"We are almost there,'' Griff tells me.

The drive hasn't been as long as I thought it would be, I thought we would get to the pack late in the evening but it is still afternoon and we are way ahead of time.

I have no clue what the breaking point is, but I know that Col will have it all sorted. Or at least, I think so.

My phone beeps and I pick it up, it is a strange number. One that I don't know but I answer it anyway. "Hello,'' my voice is calm as I wait for whoever is on the other end to speak.
