"DEATH BY FUCKING," Shiloh mused. "Sounds like a good way to go."
Smiling at his fiancé he took a seat at the table. "Okay, what are we having?"
"Your favorite," Shiloh said placing a large plate in front of him. "Penne with Vodka Sauce."
"Thanks, babe," Lucian said digging in. "Hmm, god, I want to ravish you. This is amazing, you know the way to my heart."
Shiloh blushed and sat beside him eating his food. "Thank you for today. It means a lot that you were willing to talk to my dad."
"See, I told you all he needed to know was that I loved you and that I wasn't going to treat you like those other guys," Lucian replied. Reaching over, he gripped Shiloh's soft hand squeezing it affectionately. Seeing his fiancé flush, he felt his heart swell with unexplained pleasure. It was hard to articulate, it was like his chest was ready to rip open because his heart was pounding so hard and fast.
He loved Shiloh more than anything in his whole life.
Losing interest in his food he simply gazed at his boyfriend across the table that was adorably eating and humming softly. His tongue tied and his throat constricted, he considered telling Shiloh everything about his life, the family business, and being forced to eradicate his enemies. Something harsh twisted in his stomach, stopping him from spewing his guts because he knew once he started, he wouldn't stop, and he didn't think Shiloh could handle the entire truth.
Plus, he didn't want to risk losing him.
Losing Shiloh wasn't even an option.
Bringing Shiloh's knuckles up to his lips he kissed them before eating his food. "I got us tickets to Company!"
"What? No way!" Shiloh said excitedly. "They're sold out!"
"I know," Lucian smirked. "I reserved the entire balcony for us and an after-party with the cast."
Shiloh squealed bouncing up and down in his chair. "Thank you so much!"
"Well, I figured since I've been an asshole, you know working a lot, we haven't spent any time together. Due to my family's insistence, we should have a date night."
"Hmm." Shiloh leaned over the table pressing a firm kiss to his cheek. "I love you." He said between pecks. "I love you. I love you."
"Prove it," Lucian growled capturing his lips heatedly. Just as he was about to drag Shiloh into the bedroom, his cell phone started ringing. Pulling it out of his pocket he ignored the accusing look his boyfriend was shooting him across the table and answered the call.
"Yeah."
"We found him," Kyle said on the other end.
"Okay, hold him until I get there," Lucian said ending the conversation.
Shiloh sighed. "Don't tell me—"
"I have to go beautiful," he said standing to his feet. "Dinner was lovely and I'll be back as soon as I can."
"Please don't go," Shiloh whispered, his eyes filling up with tears. "I thought we were spending the whole day together—"
"We will some other time babe, I promise," Lucian said putting his empty dish in the sink. "Why don't you call one of your friends and go out?"
"Friends," Shiloh scoffed. "I hardly have any."
"That's not true, you have Katerina—"
"They're in school," Shiloh replied bitterly.
Frowning Lucian approached him, dragging his boyfriend to his feet. "How about this beautiful, after the wedding, you can enroll into NYU or Julliard, apply anywhere you like, okay?"
"Okay," Shiloh nodded, sniffing. "But I still don't want you to go."
"I'm not cruel Shiloh," he said pushing his fiancé up against the counter. "I will never leave my baby unsatisfied." Tugging on the apron he smirked when it unraveled easily exposing Shiloh's creamy white skin. Slipping his hand between his boyfriend's legs he stroked his cock while licking the shell of his ear. "When I get back you better be hard and waiting for me because I'm going to fuck you all night."
"Ugh," Shiloh grunted thrusting his hips up. "Yes, please stay."
"Later baby." He kissed the side of Shiloh's cheek before letting go and disappearing into the bedroom to change, laughing when he heard Shiloh yell in frustration.
Lucian loved winding him up like that.

JASON DARRELL HAD done a lot of things in his life.
But pissing off a major mobster was defiantly not one of them. Still, for some reason unknown to him, he was kneeling with a dark silk bag over his head, arms and legs handcuffed behind his back waiting for the crime lord to enter. Ruefully, he thought back on his life and wondered what the hell brought him into this situation, was it the sneers he made against that couple last week or perhaps he fucked the wrong guy at that gay bar he went to the other day? Still, in his incoherent thoughts, he knew that this situation was bad.
Today had started like any other, he went to work at the construction site, and made homophobic jokes while cowering about his sexuality then, as he was buying food, he took a shortcut through the alleyway, suddenly being knocked over the head and dragged into a white van with people dressed in black. Breathing in deeply, he tried to recall every shitty horror movie or thriller that started like this, but the police always found the bad guys, right? If he could just reach his cell phone in his back pocket maybe he could call them, the only downside was that he couldn't see shit.
Just as he was about to reach his pocket, the bag was ripped off his head and he squinted his eyes into the light. The room was very large, exquisite even, with a red maroon carpet stretching around the tile where he was kneeling. Three men stood casually around the room, each dressed in black military clothing caring AK-47s and guns. Taking a sharp breath, he saw a man with slicked hair and a menacing expression seated behind a large wooden desk, casually playing with his pistol.
"Jason Darrell," the man said tiredly. "You are one fat fuck."
Straightening his back Jason stared at the man defiantly. "Who the hell are you? A Scarface-wanna-be?"
The man smirked, turning his vicious gaze onto him. "Worse."
Gulping, Jason watched the man stand to his feet with the gun still in his hand. "Listen, man, I didn't mean anything by it and whatever you want my dad will pay—"
He scoffed. "I don't want your fucking money. As you can see, I don't need it."
"Then what do you want?" Jason asked, fear finally settling into his bones.
His lips curled; it was a bleak twisted thing. "Ti voglio morto; una morte lenta, dolorosa -unobtrusively."
"I don't understand," Jason said.
"I said I want you dead. Slowly. Painfully."
Jason choked on his words. "What—why? What have I ever done to you?"
"Do the words 'Fairy Warner' mean anything to you?" The man asked.
Jason's eyes widened. "You're Shiloh's crazy boyfriend? I fucking knew you looked familiar. Listen, man, I didn't mean anything by it, we just kid around sometimes I call him a fairy—"
Before he could blink, Lucian smashed his pistol against the side of his face. Unrelenting pain exploded in his temple as his head forcefully swung to the side. Hanging his head low he groaned, it felt like a bulldozer had run him over.
"Say fairy again," the man sneered. "I dare you."
Blood was pouring from his temple and he could taste its raw metallic tone in his mouth. It was at that moment he knew he was going to die. Nothing flashed before his eyes; not his life with his dad or all the men he had fucked and left behind, just an ocean of blankness as Lucian raised the gun pointing at his kneecap. Jason's mind raced as he lay on the ground, blood pooling around him. He thought about all the mistakes he had made, and all the people he had hurt.
Why did he have to choose that restaurant and that boy? The first time he had seen Shiloh he had been mesmerized, his heart caught in his throat as he took in his near-ethereal appearance. Being overweight, he knew he'd have no chance with a guy like Shiloh, but he still couldn't get his face out of his head. It had taken him two months to finally work up the courage to walk into the restaurant but Shiloh had given him a dismissive once over, writing down his order and going about his day like normal. Rage had sparked through him; he slammed the money on the table and said "Nice job fairy."
Shiloh had stared at him as if he'd been slapped.
A sick satisfaction, raced through him, at those beautiful blue eyes wide with fright. God, he wanted to destroy him. At least now, Shiloh would never forget him.
He thought about his father, who had always warned him about the dangers of his line of work, and all the men he had left behind without a second thought. He thought about all the things he wished he could change, all the things he wished he could have done differently. But it was too late now, there was no going back.
"After this, you'll be begging me to kill you."
