Lindsey picked up Jack and went up to the top of the building.

Heller was about to leave when an old man arrived in a hurry. He grabbed Heller by his arm and asked anxiously, "Where's Nelly? Where's she? What have you done to my Nelly?!"

Heller's gaze focused on him and he asked, "I'm Nelly's father. Old man, who are you?"

The old man looked at Heller closely for a few moments. Then, as though he had suddenly realized something, he exclaimed, "You're… Nelly's father? She really looks like you!"

At this point, the old man paused slightly before he continued and said, "But unfortunately, you fail as a father!"

"Do you know what I do for a living? I collect garbage and unwanted items!"

"She had been picking up trash and selling it for money before she was even three, so that she could reduce the burden on her mother!"

"Because everyone said that she was a baggage; and because everyone said that her father left her mother because he disliked her!"

"She was afraid that her mother would also find her a burden and throw her away!"

Heller felt as if his temples were pounding and jumping exceptionally hard!

"I found the child pitiful and wanted to help her. As time went by, I gradually became acquainted with the two of them and now regard them as my own daughter and granddaughter."

The old man looked straight at Heller and said, "For so many years, you never came back. Do you have any idea how the two of them lived?"

"Do you know that Nelly almost died when she was born?!"

Heller raised his head suddenly. "What did you say?!"

"Heh!"

The old man said a little mockingly, "You actually have the cheek to ask me about it? Did you forget that apart from the Zoffs, the woman whom you married five years ago also wanted you dead?"

"She and Jack connived with each other. When she found out that Ruby gave birth to your daughter, she came straight here!"

"When she confirmed that Nelly was your daughter… She…"

"She shut Ruby and Nelly in the house, locked the door, and almost burned them to death while they were still alive!"

Heller looked furious.

On Heller's wedding night five years ago, the Nicholsons' sudden catastrophe was the result of none other than Lucy Xander and the Zoffs' joint handiwork!

Heller said indifferently, "Lucy, you'll regret this!"

When he finished, Heller raised his head and nodded slightly at Lindsey who was at the top of the building.

The next moment, Lindsey threw Jack off the rooftop and he fell to pieces with a boom!
