"Remote Activated Delayed Storage-Type Magic... that's incredible Takemi! You've managed to create a way to store the information of a completed Magic Sequence into a small object! That's revolutionary!"
"Thanks Kei. Although it wasn't just me, I had help".
The two of them left the Theoretical Magic Studies shortly after Takemi displayed his crystallized mana to the class. No doubt that he would receive many offers on the creation technique behind the "crystallized mana" and all information regarding it.
"Aren't you afraid of the consequences though? I mean-".
"Don't worry Kei. I've already planned it all out. I've got help".
Kei was very curious to know who helped him develop the crystallized mana. It would take an organization or a family with a lot of money to help fund the research behind it. But the uses for Remote Activated Delayed Storage-Type Magic was endless. It made sure than even normal people could use Magic, although not to the same efficiency as actual Magicians.
"Speaking of which, I have to go now Kei. I've got another class on the basis of CAD manufacturing. I'll see you later okay!".
Takemi ran off leaving a rather confused and shocked Kei behind who just rubbed the back of his head.
"It seems like my new friend it is a bit on the eccentric side...". He walked away, unaware of the figure standing above the building he was just in.
Takemi didn't need to go to a CAD manufacturing class. He stood above the Experimental Wing and pulled out a phone from his pocket and dialed the only number that was on there.
"It's me. Stage 1 is a go".
A distorted voice came through, "Roger. I'll begin Stage 2 on my end. I've gotten Three to continue the experiments on the crystallized mana. We'll be ready to go when you get here".
"Good. Any progress with in the catalyst?".
"We have. We believe that the reaction can only occur in if we have drop of blood. If what you say is true about the potency of... "Dragons", then the blood that runs through your heart might have properties that could provoke a reaction".
Takemi frowned and replied, "What are you trying to do? Create an anti-Takemi weapon or something?".
The voice over the phone grew silent before saying, "I do not need such a thing. I can take you one without it".
"Oh really? Is that a challenge?", said Takemi. His tone was definitely one that Tatsuya could identify.
"It's whatever you want to take it as. However, I am not lying about blood being a catalyst. I tried with my own and the mana ball turned into a liquid before changing back into a gas. Both Three and I-".
"Wait.... you've tried your own blood before asking for mine?",
"...Yes. I thought you understood-".
"Of course I didn't! If you led with that I wouldn't of questioned your desire to take my blood!... Got no damn common sense...".
Another voice giggled over the phone and said, "Don't worry One. Onii- Two is just a little tired, he hasn't slept in over 70 hours".
Takemi sighed before saying, "Alright. I'm heading to the office now. I hope to see that stage 2 has been completed by the time I arrive. One out".
He crushed the phone between his hands leaving nothing but scrap metal behind and threw it off the roof. Whenever he made calls to Tatsuya or Miyuki, he always used a different phone, and as did they.
Their "Project" was something that was independent of all organizations, country's or families. Miyuki didn't want her elder brother being related to the military any more than he had so included the Japanese 101 Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion in that as well. And although most of their research regarding the "Project" was done at FLT, the number of people who knew about it could be counted on one hand.
Tatsuya, Miyuki and Takemi all agreed to keep it as secretive as possible. Everything to do with mana and Magecraft was all kept in a secure location that only the three of them knew about. While it was done at FLT, they kept most of it off site to prevent break in's and theft.
The only time they would show their "Project" was when it was completed. Which was a time that no-one could foresee. Only then would their "Project" would be unveiled to the world. Something that was independent of FLT or the Yotsuba or any known organization in the world.
It would be "their" creation, and no-one else's.
Takemi quickly utilized [Parade] and changed his look to like an average middle aged man, that was the examiner for his entrance exam.
He didn't need a CAD to perform spells, however, that was only for the spells he possessed using the [System]. To utilize other spells he had to possess a CAD. It was one of the few reasons he needed one so badly.
'Hmm, I wonder what type of Magecraft I should buy next... [System], what do you recommend?'
"Ding! [System] suggests purchasing a Magecraft surrounding modern [Bounded Fields]. It is what keeps the knowledge of Magecraft from normal society. The knowledge of creating a bounded field is 100,000 TMP. It consists of not just how to create one, but how to alter it, fix it, replace it, layer it, and change its affects.... Do you wish to purchase?".
'Yes'.
"Ding! User has exchanged 100,000 TMP for [Modern Bounded Fields]. You have 29,140 TMP remaining".
Takemi stopped jumping from roof to roof for a moment and let the information of how to create a bounded field enter his mind. It was easier than what he originally imagined.
Every bounded field had an epicenter, a control point which kept the Bounded Field stable and operating. This was most of the time, either an object, like a Jewel or Rune, or utilized the mana in the air to keep operating.
Some possessed different effects. Illusions, direction impairment, sensory deprivation, sealing, defensive, offensive, killing fields and a variety of modern bounded fields appeared in Takemi's mind. It technically any single specific bounded field. Just the ways to create one and alter it's effects".
He rubbed his temples a little and picked up a few stones along the way putting them into his pocket. They could be multiple points that show the outlines of a bounded field while utilizing the mana in the air to stay operational.
'Pretty good. Bounded Fields are very useful when keeping the "Project" a secret. I'll tell Tatsuya that I've got a way to hide all our experiments and data'. Thought Takemi. During his explanation of the "Type-Moon" world, although the young man tried to gain as much information as he could, there was no way he would be able to grab every detail from Takemi's explanation.
Information on Dead Apostles, Servants, the limits of Magecraft and its uses and the [System] where things that he left unsaid. Especially the last one, he wouldn't even tell Angelina that unless he planned on leaving this world.
'Ah I'm here'.
Arriving at the main entrance to FLT, Takemi dispersed his [Parade] and entered the building, only to be greeted by Ushiyama.
"Takemi-kun! We've been expecting you. The young master has prepared everything. He's with the young lady as well".
Takemi nodded at Ushiyama's comment. Tatsuya believed that he, and only he, was the single most trustworthy person in the entire Third Division. And although they all kept his secret regarding his identity as Taurus Silver, that was mainly because of pressure from the higher ups.
"That's good Ushiyama-san. On a side note, how's the development of the CAD coming along".
The man stroked his goatee and smiled, "It's been a bit of a challenge I'll give you that. We've forgone the tsuba as it restricts the CAD and makes it act more like a sword than it's original intention, which was to cast Magic. We haven't curved the blade so it is one single straight edge, on both the katana and wakizashi so it may be a little different to what you're uses to".
"That's fine Ushiyama-san. I can adjust".
He nodded before continuing, "As you've requested, both the Sword CAD and Sheath CAD have been increased in durability, however it is much heavier than it's original design. The materials will increase the rate at which psions are turned into electrical signals at the cost of power.
Finally, regarding the Sheath, we don't normally do this, however since the young master requested it... here".
Ushiyama passed a small booklet titled, "Activation Sequences".
"It is my personal collection of Activation Sequences at FLT. Most of the spells here at FLT and a few of the Third Division originals are in there. Normally we only give a small selection of spells, however there are exceptions to everything I suppose...".
Ushiyama sighed and pulled out a cigarette before leaving Takemi by himself, but not before saying, "A small side note If you leave the building with that book, I will be forced to tell the world about your experiments... have fun!".
Takemi blinked and looked down at the book of Activation Sequences in his hand.
'Is this... a joke or something? A bribe? A lure?....'.
Takemi put the book in his pocket and made his way to the Third Division. He politely nodded at a few familiar faces before entering Tatsuya's office and conjoined workshop.
He saw the Shiba siblings talking amongst themselves before Miyuki turned around and ran over to Takemi and said,
"Ah Takemi-san... please, take off all your clothes".
