'New Earth, here I come!', exclaimed Cane as he browsed through all the skills that Liz showed him.

Cane ultimately chose the skills recommended by Liz. It was somehow a given because Liz had optimized information about the study of viral genes. Even though Cane can be considered a genius, it would still take time for him to understand everything that his father has researched, so he can only rely on Liz at the moment.

Void Swordsmanship is a skill of the lowest level. It is a set of skills using a wooden sword. The originator of the skill initially thought that this was the most powerful skill that could be used, but all of the superhumans who practiced it did not have significant attainments.

Void Hands is a powerful fist play that is similar to taichi. The only difference is that the user will have to think of his environment as a void. The only person that successfully displayed the prowess of this skill was the superhuman that harnessed the wind element.

Void Steps is a footwork that allows the user to move as if they are stepping into a void and then vanish if trained to perfection.

'Doc. These are the skills that I suggest you train in. I can't understand it myself, but my system always comes up with these three skills for you. As you can see, these skills are powerful, but no one succeeded except for Void Hands. The scientist who worked for your father suspected that the skills were not suited for superhumans who have overwhelming physical strength. These skills require excellent control of energy, so the difficulty is on another level.'

Cane attentively studied the three skills that Liz recommended. He was not able to hide his admiration for the creator of the skills as he immersed himself in learning them. The scientist who created them was not even a superhuman, but the videos on the screen showed that a lot of their superhuman subjects almost displayed the power of the skills.

'I am proud in the aspect that my parents have pioneered this evolution of humankind. I know that claiming them as good people will be biased of me, but I absolutely believe that they did everything in the name of science and the advancement of the species.', Cane murmured.

He got out of his introspection and decided to truthfully train on the three skills.

'Liz. I plan to head out in 2 months' time after this. Please try to collect all the necessary information that we can use once we go out.'

'I will, Doc. Good luck with your training. Let me change the structure of the bunker for your optimal training.', Liz replied.

Cane nodded, and the bunker walls and floor shifted. A transparent cube the size of a basketball court suddenly appeared from the ground.

'This is the Blitz Cube. It will analyze your movements for conducive training and can withstand the most powerful attack of the strongest level 1 superhuman 270 years ago.'

After getting inside, he started his two-month training. Luckily, these skills were heavily dependent on precision and control, and as a doctor in his past life and a genius in the new one, he was very adept in that aspect.

Cane internalized the skills first and sat in a meditating pose. He decided to learn Void Hands first because he could see a complete guide from the wind element superhuman who had high attainment in it.

He was also not flustered about all the superhuman stuff anymore because all the martial arts novels and anime he watched when he was younger in his past life showed the same results. He just never thought that he would live the reality of those metaphysical things.

Shown on the monitor in front of him was the wind element superhuman, Luka Turi. He was a young man with a thin stature. He was the 89th test subject and was known to be the first to have a supreme viral gene mutation.

Luka was reported to be an orphan, and he chose to volunteer for the test himself. Cane frowned at how pitiful this young man was before successfully turning into a superhuman. It was also reported that the test subjects starting from Luka the 89th up to the 150th were considered to have no defects. After the Green God Company's tribulation, it was unknown if all these superhumans died with its destruction.

Cane did not ponder much about what happened in the past and focused on the demonstration that was shown in front of him.

'Void Hands is easy for gifted people. I am not gifted. I just happen to wield the wind element. The skill proposes that we build a domain of perception around our bodies and consider them a void. What happens when an object appears in a void? Nothing will happen to it, right? So, to exert influence inside the void, we needed to use a powerful force that could move them or the void itself. In my case, I used my wind element to build a domain.', Luka kept on demonstrating everything he knew about Void Hands while talking.

Cane's jaw dropped from time to time as he noticed that when a robot was about to land a blow on Luka's body, the young man would just slide his hands on the robot's fist and it would cause the fist to be crumpled like paper.

'Remember, the skill emphasizes precision and control. I can't say much about other superhumans, but I think that only people with elements can practice Void Hands.', the video ended.

Cane was amazed by everything he witnessed. Humans have come a long way. The title "super" can be rightfully owned by the people of New Earth. His eagerness to explore the outside world grew stronger as the days passed.

After calming down, he practiced Void Hands for 2 weeks with no results. He guessed that Luka was right; no one could practice the fist-play without a suitable element.

'When will my element manifest? Do I not have an element at all?', he dejectedly asked himself.

He only had more or less 6 weeks left before the decided date to embark on the journey to the outside world. Without progress with the other technique, he decided to practice Void Swordsmanship this time. He thought that even if his element did not manifest, he could still use the skill to defend himself.

Liz reported that there was metal in the bunker that could withstand damage from physical attacks by Failures or superhumans. She claimed that she could forge it through electrical means. Cane suggested forging a gun and bullet using that metal, but the sad news was that this metal could only be at the minimum dimension of four-by-one-by-sixteen inches. Any less than that will make the metal brittle. This metal was one of the wonders of New Earth and it was believed to be the metal of the gods.

He grudgingly told Liz to start the forging of the sword. He quickly turned to training and internalized the teaching of the Void Swordsmanship skill. This time, the monitor showed eleven superhumans practicing the skill. And when he saw their videos, he was shaken.

'How could this be a weak skill? These superhumans just cut a solid pole without even touching it.'

Realizing that there was something amiss with how the skill was graded, he checked the maker's notes.

'These superhumans were able to display the elementary force that this skill can do. But the ultimate power of this skill can only be exhibited when you reach the realm of the Void Sword. This skill is based on normal kendo swordsmanship with the addition of the transparent sword. I envisioned that superhumans that can master this skill can form void blades that can move on their own. I am just sad that it is all just a theory of mine. Hopefully, this skill will be perfected in the future.'

My pockets are void of money. ^_^
