*Diana's POV*

I got scared when I suddenly bumped into somebody from the back, it was a giant tree and the hood got stuck on the branch. I sighed in relief. But then, I felt something was crawling on my feet. I realized it was a snake. I stood still. It was on till my thighs now. I was scared to death! he was pressing on my feet tightly. I closed my eyes because of the pain I felt in my leg. My left leg was numb. I refrained from making any noises from my mouth. I slowly opened my eyes to see if the snake had left or not. It was crawling back to the ground now. The snake almost left when I saw something worse.

It was a gigantic snake. The snake looked enormous and slippery, poisonous black with a hint of green in his scales. I had never seen such a huge and fat snake in my life. I wasn't able to see the head yet. And yet it is so big! It was coming closer and I was frozen on my spot. I assumed I'd be swallowed by the snake. I started sweating and got watery eyes. I thought this was my last moment. The snake's head was about to come up, and I squinched my eyes.

I could hear the snake hissing in front of me. When it started to speak, I was freaked out by the fact that it can speak! "Hello There, gorgeous! Don't you wanna see me? I'm so beautiful. Why don't you look at me!" The moment it said to look at him I was on the verge of crying. I didn't want my life to end like this.

I didn't even go to college yet, or have a best friend! I haven't lived my life yet and here I was standing at the door of death. My eyes were closed but I couldn't stop my tears from flowing. I was trembling. I could sense the snake playing with my hair. I wanted to cry out for help but I couldn't. The snake kept hissing sending shivers down my body. I could now feel the snake in front of my face. As if he was glancing at me. I got curious and was about to open my eyes when unexpectedly someone held me from behind.

*Sebastian's POV*

After leaving the cottage I went back to meta ta physika macrocosm, our world. I reached Bibliotheca, our library and I found the book I was looking for.'Vivlío me kosmímata' the book of jewels. I opened the page where I saw my necklace first. On that page, it was written, "These are the necklace and bracelet of the lovers! The first-ever guardian loved the devil. They wore it to protect one another. But later the guardian locked the necklace and bracelet with a spell for good. There is only one of a kind of these necklaces and bracelets because of the Guardian legacy."

While I held the book, I was still in shock. These belonged to the first guardian! Everybody knows that guardians were blessed by angels. And Callista was the first guardian ever. I turned to the next page but their faces were not visible. The book was old. I kept the book and left the place. I took off to the mundane world. It was already dark in the forest. While walking I saw Diana, she was frozen at her spot. I went closer and saw that she was in front of a Basilisk. My eyes went wide.

I slowly went behind a bush and recited a spell "Prógonoi, Parakaló voithíste me na sóso aftón ton ánthropo kai na stamatíso ton chróno" it was a spell to stop time for a few minutes. And it did. I gradually went towards Diana and held her from behind. She was startled by my behaviour. I mumbled in her ears "shhh...calm down. It's me, Sebastian." She sighed in relief and was about to open her eyes when I stopped her from doing so. She questioned, "Why can't I open my eyes?" I responded, "There's a Basilisk in front of you if you glance at its eyes you'll die." She answered back Then how are your eyes opened?" '"This girl," I thought to myself and said "My eyes aren't open they are closed as well" we were in that position for a few moments, I wanted to let go but I wanted us to stay like that. I somehow convinced her to move backwards with me. The time resumed and her eyes were still closed.

Thankfully I brought Emilia with me. She managed to kill the Basilisk with her magical cutlass. I told Diana to stay there, now that her eyes were open, She asked "Where did it go? Did you do something?" She was disturbed. I gave her my famous smirk and told her to wait there. She held my hand and asked me not to leave her alone. I assured her " Hey it's gonna be okay! There are no more snake's here. I'll be back in a minute". With that, I ran towards Emilia and told her "Meet me outside the cottage later!" I was about to go when Emilia stopped me and gave me the necklace that Max gave her to put a spell on. I took it and took off to Diana. I saw her from afar away. Because I had to save her I had to stop time, but I told her not to come out nor let anyone enter the house. I was mad at her! But I couldn't stay irate at her. So I tried to stay calm.

I walked with her to the cottage. I didn't say anything on our way. I gave her a hushed treatment. When we reached the cottage she broke the silence and said, "Thank you for what you did out there." I hummed in response... She was disappointed. I told her to go inside and she did. She looked back at me before going in and I gave her an indifferent expression. When she got in I was relieved.

I saw Emilia. She brought the things needed for the spell. Even though we were frenemies I was worried about her. This boundary spell was really strong. She might get weak. She bought the hazel ash. I helped her make the boundary around the cottage. Before she started the spell I asked "Are you sure you can do this? You can take my help!" She replied "Please! No… I can do this by myself. Also one day you'll become stronger than me. Let me show off my skills by then." I smirked at her behaviour. She questioned again, " By the way! Why do you care for her? I mean she is a guardian and she will gain her powers soon!" I stayed silent.

*Emilia's POV*

I started to recite the spell I saw in the spellbook, Like Sebastian, said it was a tough spell, that was the reason why I didn't let Sebastian give me a hand. This spell required two people. Most spells that required two people were easy for me since I got the genes from my mom. But this spell was burning me out. My nose started to bleed. Sebastian got worried and told me to stop but I still continued. The wind got strong. And then suddenly everything got black.

*Diana's POV*

I freshened up and looked out of the window. The weather got worse again. There was a storm. I felt cosy. I plopped on the sofa and was thinking about what had all happened to me in the last thirty-six hours. I couldn't understand anything. Since the storm was mighty, all the windows opened because of it. I went to close the window when I saw Sebastian with a girl. I saw some girl in Sebastian's arms and I got numb, that was the second time I felt something like that I don't know why but I didn't like what I was seeing. That was me feeling jealous but why?! I saw Sebastian's face, he was worried, I realized that something was wrong. So I went out.

Sebastian was shocked when he saw me coming out of the cottage. He asked, "Why did you come out?" I replied with a cold expression "She is unconscious. Bring her inside. It's no time to argue". He agreed and picked her up in a bridal style. He put her on the couch and I bought a pillow so that her neck is comfortable. She looked stunning! She was the definition of beauty. If I was a guy I would've fallen for her. But looking at how worried Sebastian was I thought she already had someone. I asked him "What happened to her and why is she unconscious? I know I'm not a doctor but I can be of some help" Sebastian looked annoyed by the question and answered back "You won't get it anyway! So stop asking!" I was taken aback by his behaviour and left him alone with her.

I went to my nursery where I grow my plants and flowers. My mother liked growing flowers and so did I. I took some Reishi, it was a spirit enhancing mushroom. I put it in a small bowl and crushed it. Then I let it on fire and blew on it. I bought it in the living room and kept it on the table. Sebastian was still annoyed by my behaviour. I went to the kitchen to eat my ready-made food. I put it in the microwave and waited for fifteen minutes. I looked back and saw Sebastian calling somebody and was walking back and forth now. I sighed. The remedy worked and the girl woke up. Sebastian went and sat near her. I said to myself "So he is like this with every other girl."

Meanwhile, Somebody knocked on the door, I opened it and to my surprise, Max and Lucas were there. They completely ignored me and went inside. What was wrong with everyone?

*Emilia's POV*

I was woken up by the fragrance of Reishi. I was feeling so fresh. The moment I sat comfortably Sebastian questioned me worriedly "Emm are you Okay? Are you hurt!?" I was surprised by the way he asked me those questions. I was about to answer him when I saw Max and Lucas come in and bombarded me with more questions. I yelled "STOP!" they stopped. "Firstly whoever found this fragrance for me thank you, it really helped me to wake up. Secondly, I wasn't in a war. Why would I be hurt? Thirdly, where the hell am I?"

*Diana's POV*

I liked the way she yelled and asked questions, it was impressive. I liked her but I did not wanted to. Seeing her gain all the attention. I came towards them but I still maintained my distance from them. And said "I have read about plants and seeing you unconscious I thought maybe you were stressed or were not able to breathe properly. I made that out when I saw u." She smiled "You did the right thing I feel so good now" I smiled back but I could see Sebastian was feeling guilty.

Since it was late at night I announced "It's already 10 pm you guys can stay here. I have few rooms where you can stay." Max agreed to what I said. While they all went to their rooms Sebastian came to talk to me. I thought he came to say sorry, but what he said made my jaw drop "Hey you don't need to prepare four rooms. I'll stay with them. '' You won't sleep", he replied, "No... Not today I need to take care of her. And don't worry it will be painfully clear soon enough". Just like always, I had nothing to say and I let him go.

I saw Lucas standing and watching the crescent moon from the window. I called him "Hey" he responded awkwardly "Umm hey... About her.." I knew what he was going to say so I told him "It's okay and also about last time I'm sorry for leaving you just like that. Also, I'm not mad at you anymore." He gave me the biggest smile and asked "Are you ok? Lucas told me about everything."

"Well, my hand stings and my left leg is paining like hell and it is my first day of University tomorrow! Can you do me a favour!?" Lucas replied "Gladly!"

"Can you stay with me for the night?"...
