Chapter 1: Loss

"Nooooo!" Aidan Li shouted as his parents were pierced by a sword. It was over their world a powerful holy universe had been destroyed. Aidan lost all hope and just stood there waiting for death. Then everything went dark.

Suddenly he saw light again. "What's going on? Am I not dead? Why is there no spirit Qi here?" He looked around and saw two giant figures looking at him. "What are those giants staring at me?" He thought. Scared they would eat him. "What should we name him?" One of them said in a slightly feminine voice. "How does Aidan Li sound?" The other one said in a masculine voice. "I like that." The female replied. "Have I been reborn?" Aidan wondered. Then his eyes closed and everything went dark.

Aidan was walking around Polaris city with the two servants/bodyguards Aurora Lou and Yi Yuner Zen Li his father had assigned to him at the master and Journeyman realm of blood circulation. He needed these bodyguards because from the time he was born until now Aidan had been unable to circulate and strengthen his blood because he was so used to cultivating spirit Qi from his original world. It was his fourteenth birthday and he was going to buy himself his favorite dessert, icing chocolate brownies from Pastel bakery when suddenly one of the guards from his father's mansion came sprinting over to him looking distressed. "Young Master, something urgent has happened to your mother. Follow me. Quickly!" The guard shouted as he pulled Aidan back towards the mansion. "What happened?" Aidan quickly asked the guard. "Not now your father will explain when you get there." Replied the guard. Soon they had reached his father's city lord mansion. As soon as he got inside he saw his father kneeling on the floor with his hands on his head. "What's wrong dad?" Aidan asked worriedly. "It's your mom Marry. She's been kidnapped." Zen told Aidan sadly. "What? How?" Aidan exclaimed. "Aren't you one of the strongest people on the divine continent." He asked, confused. "Yes I am, as I have reached the grandmaster stage of blood circulation. However, these people claimed to be from another world. And after they took Marry they just vanished." Zen told Aidan. "Why'd this have to happen on my birthday! What have I done to you heavens first my original universe now my mother!" Aidan screamed at the heavens.

For the next few weeks Aidan wasn't the same. Before he would walk around confidently, like he owned Polaris city and since his dad was the Polaris city lord he technically did. But, After his mom was kidnapped he would almost never go outside. Instead he would just sit on his bed looking out the window despondently. One day his father ordered him to go outside and take a walk to enjoy the city. When suddenly it started pouring. Aidan rushed back to the city lord's mansion. As he was about to enter the overhang in front of the front door he heard a loud boom! Then everything went dark.
