You felt the room tense up and the tension to spread freely around the room, suffocating you but you refuse to show it and stared back at them. The oldest, Jin as you recall, snapped out and looked at you with almost-guilty eyes.
"I'm sorry but-" In the middle of his sentence, you just realized something you groaned at. Your mind flashbacked to what the two youngest, (Taehyung and Jungkook, is it?) said that word Bam Bam was been waiting to say for a long time. You decide to ask a question so it would clear all the doubts in your mind.
"Are you all brothers?" You pointed at the men scattered around the room. They all nodded in their way. Others raised their eyebrows once, others send thumbs-up, and others nodded normally. You put two and two together and sighed out and groggily slumped back down the chair. The pain on your thigh that started to subside had returned in a flash but you gulped down the wince that almost forced it way out of your mouth. The closest people close to you reached out towards you, alarmed with how you sat down.
"So, do you guys share the same mate?" You asked weakly. From your travels, you found out that those who have a mythical blood running down their veins and are siblings and are the same gender would share one mate. It happens rarely, only to those who have royal blood. When you observed their situation, with their consent, of course, their mate would always turn out to be a human. Might the siblings be sirens or nymphs or vampires, their mate would always turn out to be human.
You asked about it to your chief and he answered it with a shrug.
So their power would be equal. The siblings would have a strength but also a weakness. The human would easily wrap their mates around their finger. It's amazing, watching a bunch of creatures that could kill you with one snap fawn over a little innocent human, no offense Y/N.
Namjoon coughed and rubbed his nape.
"That's actually the reason why you can't leave," He slowly let the words go. You closed your eyes for a moment.
"Well, You should have told me that I'm staying for a chat," You grumbled out. Hoseok brightened up and clapped his hands.
"Then we shall drink tea back at the house," He announced.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The car rides were quiet but not the kind where it is suffocating. You were weirded out because this is the very first time where you were completely calm with strangers. The men in return were ecstatic, despite you knowing. They weren't expecting you to talk about the situation but you wrecking everything in your path just to get away from them. Their wolves were getting out of control, them overly happy being with their understanding mate.
The car came to a stop and the men got out first. The last two ones to get out, Namjoon and Jin, helped you get down. Once your feet touched the ground, your eyes lifted and stared at the magnificent building in front of you.
Their house, as the overly-energetic man, as would say, is more of a mansion than a house. You let your eyes roam around the four-level mansion. Different kinds of cars are parked at the side of the mansion.
Namjoon was about to walk when Jin holds him back. The man looked at the older in confusion but Jin gestured towards you. The leader, with your perspective, stopped beside you and supported your tilted figure. The sparks exploded out of nowhere made you jump. You're still not used to the sparks caused by the mate bond. Your brain tells you to push the man away but your body is just too overwhelmed by the sparks.
"We're gonna ask for a wheelchair, would you mind waiting for a bit?" He asked, looking down at you. Knowing you are a five-five, no doubt that these giants would look down at you.
"Don't ask for a wheelchair. Just...just don't drop me," You whispered out, grabbing his bicep. The men were taken aback and looked at each other. Namjoon cleared his throat and nodded. Jin walked ahead of you and held the left-opened door.
Namjoon assisted you, holding your wrist when you lost balance. You grumbled at his actions and looked up at the amazing entrance. The sides have two massive staircases, leading to another door. The walls were made of dirty marble and the floor was plain white marble.
"Come on, this way," Namjoon said to you, his voice echoing across the empty room. You limped quite fast for someone who just got shot in the leg but still slow enough for the wolf to wait patiently. You entered what seems the living room. The men were scattered across the room. The three youngest were sitting on one couch, drinking juice, two were sipping tea after saying thank you to the servant who served them their drinks, and one splattered across the biggest couch.
Namjoon settled you down at a one sitter black couch. You hissed lowly as cramps burned all around your body, your skin stretching across your wound, despite the bandage wrapped around it. The men started to get up from where they sat, the one that seems asleep rubbed his eyes and looked at you alarmed.
You breathed in as the pain started to subside and the men calmed down.
"Hey," Jin called out softly at the servant. The servant stiffened, faced the man, bowed once and waited for the order.
"Can you get us painkillers and- what drink would you like?" Jin looked at you, asking for your drink.
"A brown coffee is good." You adjusted your sit and sighed. Jin nodded at the servant, who bowed once more and walked out. You looked around, seeing as you sat the farthest away from them.
The servant came back with the coffee in a mug and the painkillers. You nodded gently at the servant and it seems to perk up then gave you a big smile before walking away. The men that the servant passed by seemed to linger their eyes at the servant.
"Do you want anything else? You could ask for anything else," Hoseok added suggestively. You just shook your hand. You were never a fan of tea and don't like the smell of it so you slyly shrank away from them but it didn't go overlooked by one of the youngest.
"You hate tea that much?" Jimin asked you. Your eyes landed on the oldest grabbing a biscuit from the middle table. You rubbed your eyes from the annoying voice that seems to peep up.
"I don't hate tea, I dislike them. It's two different things." You whispered out, rolling your eyes.
"It's the same thing?" Jimin said scratching his forehead. You shrugged in response and sipped on your hot brown coffee. You sighed out your nose in satisfaction from the mild coffee.
"Why are you always whispering?" Taehyung asked, tilting his head to the side.
Cute.
Wait, what.
You shook that thought away and swirled your cup.
"Because," You whispered out, sipping once again on your coffee. Your hand slid down to your wrapped thigh, which is now under a long skirt, hanging until under your knee. It felt very sour, feeling your pulse beat against the bandages.
"Because what?" Jungkook asked with wide-eyes.
"Because," You sighed out. Thank god for Hyun letting you babysit the kids back on the camp, or else your patience would be worn off thin by now. You stiffened on the spot at thought of the kids.
Kai.
Fuck. You thought as you forced yourself to believe that he found the camp or the camp found him. Just be safe, please.
"Hey is everything alright? You look tense," Hoseok placed his tea on the table.
You acted confused and nodded at his words.
"Yes, why?" You sipped once again in your cup to drown the sudden anxiety rising. The man opened his mouth but the one man that doesn't talk clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
"We brought her here so she can ask questions, not the other way around" Yoongi (you think) sighed out at his brothers' never-ending questions. The latter grumbled and sipped on their drinks. The leader finally settled down beside Yoongi, who growled but Namjoon rolled his eyes and scooted more, forcing Yoongi to sit up.
"Okay, you can start to ask now," Namjoon sent you a soft smile. You felt something stir inside you but didn't let it show and stared back.
"First off, are you sure that I'm the one?" You asked, still skeptical even after all the confirmation.
"Dear Lord, we wouldn't have brought you here if you aren't. Don't you feel the bond?" Yoongi raised his arms in exasperation. You blinked at the man and whispered out an 'okay'.
"Okay, next question" Jin clapped, getting the attention of everyone. Your eyes found the floor and the next question came up.
"How are we going to do this?" You whispered out, sipping on the coffee. The question seems easy to answer but they know better than this. The younger ones mumbled 'what' to each other while the older ones looked at you with confused eyes. You sighed out as you understood that they did not understand the question in hand.
"What I mean is, I cannot just leave you here. It would probably drive your wolves out of control and would kill you in the process," You sighed out and took a breath in. If they are the princes of the biggest kingdom in this globe, it would result in big chaos and you are not in the mood to protect the camp from the rogue packs.
One more thing is that you only kill when needed. You have a small body count, but only the camp knows that. You were just known for putting people through things that would wish them that death would come get them and for escaping seemingly impossible situations, alive.
You noticed the surprised reaction of the men.
"I may do things that would give me a ticket to hell but I'm not a complete savage," You whispered out. You sipped as memories of episodes where you have encountered psychos who made you go through things anyone would want to kill themselves for.
"No!" Namjoon loudly said after, seeing what you meant. He cleared his throat after hearing how loud his voice is.
"We are just surprised that you would care for-" Namjoon stopped in the middle of his sentence to carefully think about his words. You sighed as you set your coffee at the table.
"It's okay. You can say I care about you," you intertwined your hand together and set it at your crossed knees. You don't know why said that but you are now beating yourself for it.
"Well, we do know that you have your job," Jimin softly announced then Taehyung joined in.
"And you have a family back at your pack?" Taehyung scratched his head as he doesn't know what you call your gathering.
"Camp," You intervened lowly. Taehyung nodded and it was continued by Hoseok.
"And it seems that you take care of the kids." He nodded. The older ones for a second have their eyes hazed so you figured that they were in a mind-link.
"What if you stay here and we would visit your camp every weekend," Jin suggested, getting more biscuits.
"And if you have a thing with your job," Jungkook quoted the 'thing'.
"You can tell us and yeah," He said with a shrug. You pursed your lips and decided not to ask what the 'yeah' means. Then Namjoon stood up, brushing his pants.
"We can go to your camp tomorrow so they would know that you are all right but for now, I'll get you to your room." Namjoon lends you a hand in which you grabbed his wrist and pulled yourself up smoothly. The others got up, except for Yoongi who just lay on the sofa.
"I'll be at the kitchen," Jin waved at you and left. Jungkook followed the man.
"I'll be watching TV." Jimin then sat back down again. Hoseok got beside you and grabbed your shoulder swiftly when you got out of balance.
"I'll make sure Namjoon-Hyung doesn't drop you." He looked at his older brother who just rolled his eyes at. You three walked out of the room with you limping then you heard a voice which you only heard once in your whole talk.
"Namjoon, you better not drop her," Yoongi called out, resulting in Namjoon gulping and shouted a 'yes' back at the older man.
The stairs took shortly of your time and with Hoseok babbling different stuff, you felt as the normally three-minutes staircase is only twenty seconds. You stopped at a door on the third floor. Hoseok stayed to hold you up and Namjoon opened the door. The room that beholds before you made your eyes widen.
The room was simple yet extravagant. Its motif is the color black and white. It was as big as the campfire.
Hoseok guided you in as you took in the beauty of the room.
"Jin-Hyung ordered some of the maids to get you some clothes so they would be here any minute," He looked at his watch and gave you his attention back. Hoseok lowered you to the bed as you adjusted yourself where your thigh is comfortable with. Both men stood in front of you, both fidgeting and showing their mannerisms.
Hoseok fiddling with his fingers and Namjoon tapping his foot. It surprised you that you are seeing the princes of the biggest kingdom, nervous.
"If you don't like your room, you could always tell us what you want to change," Hoseok looked at you for a second before dropping his gaze back on the ground.
Are they really princes?
"No, the room is,"
splendid
beautiful
perfect
"Good enough," You tell them. The men's reaction is a soft smile and a small breath of relief is released. A knock on the door caught your attention.
"Come in," Namjoon called out. the door opened and two ladies bowed their heads. One has long hair reaching her waist and one has her white hair up until under her ears. They kept on nudging each other until the one with longer hair stops up.
"We were- we were told to bring clothes- clothes for our visitor," The girl stuttered out, showing a pile of clothes. Her partner followed her suite and showed them a bag, unzipped, showing clothes.
The men nodded and face back to you.
"Dinner will be around eight o'clock. We would appreciate it if you would join us," Namjoon said and got out of the room.
"Goodbye." Hoseok waved goodbye and left shortly after Namjoon.
The door shut closed and the girls stood straight up.
"Damn, missus. How can you keep up with all that power," The long-haired girl wiped off the sweat on her forehead while the other just gave a smile and stood still.
"Power?" You whispered out. The girl nodded.
"Yeah, and it makes my wolf go wild," She laughs and faces her partner.
"Hey Gyuri, Ya good?" She asked the girl who painfully slowly looked at her and nodded just as slow. Your eyebrow furrowed in confusion.
"Is she alright?" You pointed at the girl who blinked quickly and walked in front of you hastily.
You jumped in surprise at her hidden speed. Gyuri giggled at your reaction.
"Sorry, missus. I have Catatonia. Just had one attack," She explains. Your eyebrow raised in amazement.
"Anyways, we only have three hours left before dinner. Would you like us to assist you in the shower?" The long-haired maid sets the clothes down and folds her hands on her stomach. Gyuri looks at her.
"That is weird, Raven." Gyuri rolls her eyes at her partner. In all of this, your eyes held obvious confusion.
"What?" You weakly whispered.
