Richard was curious to know where the sound came from. He twisted the doorknob and walked into the room. But it was dark as he couldn’t see anything. He was just hearing the sound of the chains, and he felt the presence of someone else in the room. He used his hand to look for the light switch beside the door of the room and switched on the light.
To his greatest surprise, he saw his parents in the room. They were both chained like dogs in the room. He opened his eyes wide in surprise as they both stared at him with their mouths duct-taped, trying to talk as they struggled in the chain.
Richard couldn’t believe his eyes; his parents were chained like dogs in Mr Marcus's house.
He ran to his mum quickly and started touching the chain in her hand. He removed the duct tape from her mouth and kissed her forehead.
"Mum, are you okay? I missed you." He mumbled, holding her hand. She was crying as her tears landed on his hand. He used his hand to wipe the tears off her face.
"Don’t worry mum I am here." He said, looking at the chain in her hands, it was locked with a big padlock. He wouldn’t be able to unlock it without the key. Mr Kingston was just staring at him. He looked weak. As he wasn’t struggling anymore since Richard saw them.
"Mr Marcus has the key." Mrs Kingston said.
"I can’t believe he would lock the two of you like this in here, like this what was his reason?" he asked, staring into her eyes.
"He said he only wanted to abduct me, but your father gave him no choice; he wanted to kidnap the two of us so Raymond would come out of hiding and that he wouldn't mind kidnapping all of us." She stated, with her voice shaking.
"I need to find a way to get the two of you out of here." He said, touching Mr Kingston's face, he removed the duct tape from his mouth.
"I thought you wouldn’t remove it, do you come with back up? Because Mr Marcus is not easy to defeat." Mr Kingston said.
"I came with two bodyguards." Richard stated.
"And where are they?" Mr Kingston asked.
"I left them outside they were fighting with Mr Marcus's bodyguards." He stated.
"He must have done something to them by now, I will advise you to go and call the police before Mr Marcus finds you here." Mr Kingston suggested.
"No dad, I am not leaving you guys here." Richard said
"Stop acting stubborn and go, you won't be able to get us out of here alone." He stated.
"Yes, I think you should listen to your father, as much as I want to get out of here, I don’t want the three of us to be in here, you are our only hope." Mr Kingston added. And then they started hearing crunching footsteps heading towards the direction of the room.
