"The sphere creates an alternative reality and plunges the world into it," Galaad explained, his voice heavy with gravity. "But what would happen if that alternative reality were to disappear?"

Damaris remained silent. It was clear she wasn't going to help Galaad with his explanations, so he was forced to continue, despite himself.

"If the alternative reality disappears, the real world, returned to its normal state, might not know what happened… Or it might remember it as a distant dream," he said, searching for the right words. "But the sphere doesn't just create a temporary illusion. What it does is align with reality. In other words, it imposes the results of the alternative reality onto the real world."

Damaris seemed even more perplexed, but also more worried. "So, explain to me… what was Valeria's scenario?"
