The murmurs of the Grand Council filled Tashina's ears as she stood watching them.
Their voices of disapproval of her could be heard clearly by her sensitive ears.
"Look at how rudely she is staring at us!" One old man whispered to another beside him.
"Haven't they taught you manners in your realm? The least you could do is look down if you can't greet your elders!" Chief Keef yelled.
Tashina was about to say something but stopped when Chivia gave her a warning look from her right.
She sighed and looked down.
"So Alpha, this is your mate?" Chief Lake asked with a scorn.
"She is a vampire. Tell me, how will the Pack accept her?!" Chief Fleir questioned.
Alpha Xavier had to grip the arm of the chair to control his rising anger.
"The Pack will have no other choice but to accept my decision" Xavier hissed.
"This is unbelievable! In fact, sheer madness. A vampire, an Alpha's mate? Who on earth would believe that?!" Chef Keef sank into his chair with a sulk.
