As Yn slept in her room, the door quietly opened, and someone stepped inside. They approached her bed and admired her peaceful face. With gentle fingers, they brushed her hair away from her face and adjusted the covers around her. Then, without a word, they left the room, closing the door behind them.
Yn woke up suddenly and sat up in bed, feeling a mix of confusion and unease. She recognized the familiar scent in the air and knew who had been in her room. "Why are you being kind to me?" she whispered to herself, her voice filled with doubt. "I don't deserve it."
But as the echoes of her words faded into the darkness, a chilling realization dawned upon her. "You are only my target," she whispered, the truth sending shivers down her spine. "Yes, Yn, he is your target, few more days then.."
Days passed like this, yn and v are planning for their upcoming step but before that yn need to know more about him , his warehouses etc, to capture him
...
At night time
Yn was standing at balcony and spotted Jungkook heading towards his car. With a hint of curiosity, she called out to him.
"Hey, Jungkook!" Yn leaned on the railing, a playful glint in her eyes. "Where are you off to this time? Got a secret rendezvous?" she teased, raising an eyebrow in mock suspicion.
He paused, turning back to look up at her on the balcony. "are not you sleeping?" he replied, his tone neutral ,
yn chuckled, shaking her head. "Nah, sleep can wait. I'm more interested in your midnight adventures, and affairs" she said with a smirk, her tone light.
Jungkook arched an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "nothing special" he replied cryptically, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Yn laughed, leaning further over the railing. "Sure, sure. I won't ask any more questions," she said, playfully. "Just don't get into too much trouble, alright?" He chuckled, giving her a nod before turning to leave.
"I'll do my best," he called back over his shoulder, a hint of mischief in his voice , then he spoke again
" wana join"Yn grinned mischievously, considering his offer. "Nah, I'll pass. I'm not too keen on being the third wheel," she replied, her tone teasing.
Jungkook chuckled, nodding in understanding. "Fair enough but im going for some fresh air madam not on a date".
Yn laughed at Jungkook's clarification. "Sure, just going out for some 'fresh air' in your car, huh?" she teased, raising an eyebrow playfully.
Jungkook smirked, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Hey, a drive can be refreshing," he retorted, his tone light. Yn shook her head, still grinning. "Alright, alright. but i preffer walk , need company " yn said.
Jungkook's smirk widened at Yn's response. "Walking it is then," he agreed, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. "And having your company is always a bonus."
Yn chuckled, pleased that he seemed to enjoy her company. "Well, I'm glad to be of service," she replied playfully, stepping away from the railing went down stairs to join him.
Together, they embarked on their nighttime stroll, the cool night air invigorating their senses. As they walked side by side, exchanging lighthearted banter and sharing stories.
Jungkook's steps faltered slightly when Yn's hand found his. He glanced down at their intertwined fingers, a mix of surprise and warmth in his eyes. "Yn..." he started, his voice softer than usual. But before he could respond, she continued.
"Jungkook?" Yn's voice was earnest, her gaze fixed on his. She squeezed his hand gently, her concern palpable.
But before he could respond, she continued. "Why don't you leave all this mafia stuff behind?" Yn's voice was earnest, her gaze fixed on his. She squeezed his hand gently, her concern palpable. Jungkook sighed, a heavy weight settling over his shoulders.
"Yn, it's not that simple," he replied, his tone tinged with resignation. "This life... it's all I've ever known. And sometimes, it feels like there's no way out."
Yn nodded, understanding flickering in her eyes. "I get that," she said softly.
""I just don't want you to lose yourself in this darkness because we don't know the ending .But you don't have to do this alone. You have people who care about you, just leave all these, If you get everything, but still you will feel that something is missing. And that missing thing is peace."As Yn's words hung in the air, Jungkook felt a pang of guilt deep in his chest.
He knew she was right, but breaking away from the world he'd been born into seemed impossible. "I wish it were that easy," he admitted, his voice laced with regret.
"But it's not just about me anymore. There are things I've done, things I can't undo. Sometimes I wonder if there is another life for me, where I don't have to look over my shoulder every second. This life is... suffocating. But it's the only one I've ever known. I didn't choose it. It chose me. And now I'm stuck in a game I never wanted to play. The weight of this world... it's too heavy. Sometimes I feel like I'm drowning in it."
Jungkook's expression softened, a flicker of hope igniting in his eyes. "I don't know why I become so comfortable in front of you, but YN, I've stared death in the eyes more times than I can count. But you know the scariest thing?.....thought of Losing boys , they are with me like a family. This is my family I found it all on my own. It's a little broken but still good"
"YN," he continued. "In this world of shadows and deceit, trust is rare. Please, don't become another betrayal in my story. Stay with me, be my light amidst the darkness," he said quietly, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. "And having you by my side makes it feel like anything is possible."
Yn felt a sharp pang in her heart, a wave of sorrow washing over her as Jungkook poured out his feelings. Every word he spoke resonated with her, stirring up emotions she had long buried beneath layers of duty and deception. She wanted to ease his burdens, to offer him solace in a world fraught with danger and uncertainty.
But as she stood there, hand in hand with Jungkook, she couldn't shake the weight of her own secrets. The knowledge that she was deceiving him, playing a part in a dangerous game that could destroy everything she held dear, gnawed at her conscience.
For a moment, she considered confessing everything to Jungkook, laying bare the truth of her mission and the role she was playing. But she held herself back, her loyalty to her job prevailing over her desire to come clean. Fear mingled with duty, the fear of losing him
So instead, she squeezed his hand tighter, offering him a small, reassuring smile. "I'll always be here for you, Jungkook," she said softly, her voice tinged with sadness. "No matter what happens, you can count on me." But even as she spoke the words, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was betraying him in the worst possible way.
