The sound of it broke the tranquility of the night.
Kyoya lowered his eyes, he clenched and unclenched his fists. He had never felt so vulnerable like how he felt right now. Kyoya forced his body to move, to drag his feet until he finally stopped in front of her.
Right from the moment he called out to her, Shouko had already retracted her gaze from the night sky. Her clear and calm eyes staring back at him. A look of confusion flitted across her face once she properly took in his expression.
As far as she remembered, he had never looked so scared, so helpless and damaged as how he looked right now.
Tears continued flowing down his eyes as if the dams had broke. His entire face flushed red as he tried hard to control his emotion yet he could do nothing as his entire body shook terribly.
