Remus actually enjoyed his stay on the island – more than he expected to. When he was first sent here, he was irritated. He was a hunter! He enjoyed hunting witches, playing with them, killing them. He expected that here, he'd have to keep it cool and hide his true hatred for them.
But things weren't that bad after all. He had more power than he expected. Naturally, he had to be careful about it, killing, raping and torturing witches any moment he wanted was out of question. But Remus was smart enough to enjoy more complicated ways of control. He could sense their fear of him. He knew exactly when and how to touch them so they wouldn't complain. They would hate him, cry under him, but they didn't dare to fight him.
Not all of them, naturally. Some witches, sadly, were too strong to become his toys. He'd truly enjoy breaking them, but he couldn't. It wasn't too bad since the island was full of witches ready for the taking.
And he never trusted them. Neither the ones he could take nor the strong ones. A witch is a witch, all of them are rotten inside! Remus didn't even think about making a deal with any of them.
But when he received an invitation from Garance that night, he wasn't going to ignore it. It was a unique situation for so many reasons! Garance invited him during the night, when she barely had any power, that was a sign of good will on her behalf. Besides, he knew better than to underestimate his enemy. Remus admitted that those Day Witches were one of the greatest threats to him on the island.
That didn't mean he was going to cooperate with her, but he was ready to hear her out. He went to her mansion alone, without warning anyone about his plans. He wasn't afraid: he was one of the greatest warriors the White Dragon Order had. Besides, Garance wouldn't do anything stupid, she wasn't a creature of emotions, she needed a practical goal to act. And there was nothing she could gain from his death.
He returned her good will by not touching her younger sister along the way. And he wanted to! That redhead was one hot little witch, way better than Garance herself. Abelia clearly expected him to do something, she was tense, keeping her distance from him. That idiot didn't even realize it was making her more attractive to him! But Remus decided he should wait. He'd always have a chance to have fun with her if Garance's offer didn't interest him.
Abelia invited him into the mansion and guided him to Garance's room, but she didn't walk in. That didn't surprise Remus. He already knew that even though Garance claimed she loved her family and trusted them completely, she was just using them. To her, Abelia and Freesia were just her high-class servants.
He walked into the room alone, and was in for another surprise. Garance wasn't the only one waiting for him there. Next to the window stood a young Night Witch, Sky. Remus knew everything there was to know about her. He wasn't interested, since the letter claimed she had no control over her powers. Once he mentioned her to the Beast Witch, hoping these two would start a fight to entertain him. But they didn't, and he quickly forgot about Sky. He saw her only once, in the castle on the night of her arrival, when she was wet, freezing and miserable. He decided he didn't like her, this island had better witches to offer.
He had to change his mind though. Tonight Sky was beautiful. She was barely dressed, wearing just a tiny short dress made of golden silk. It highlighted the noble color of her skin and gave a good chance to appreciate her succulent breasts and long legs. Her long black hair was left loose, falling onto her back and shoulders like a cape. Her gorgeous face had a strange look to it – totally empty, like a doll. But Remus didn't care enough about her face to think about it. He liked what he was seeing, but he was too careful to jump into conclusions. He knew exactly how dangerous Night Witches could be.
Next to Sky stood Garance, and even though she used a lot of make up and probably wasted a fortune on her posh dress, she simply faded in comparison to the younger witch. But she didn't seem to mind. Remus was sure she picked that golden dress for Sky – to show off everything the young witch had.
The Night Witched lured him, he wanted to come closer and touch her, but he wasn't going to succumb to that desire until he was sure it wasn't a trap. He turned to Garance:
"What did you want to talk about?"
"Is that the only thing you wish to ask, Master Remus?"
"For now, yes."
"I wanted to talk about our island. Do you like how things are going right now?"
If Remus was just a little bit dumber, he'd be surprised by her interest. But he knew full well what she really meant. She was talking about the living symbol of the island – Grand Master Arrius de Tirah.
"Not really, no," Remus smirked. "I believe they can be going way better."
"We share that belief. And I think you know how to make this island a better place."
"Perhaps. But what's the use of talking about it if the old order is still strong?"
"Indeed, it'll be hard to change that completely right now. But if someone wise started to advise the old order, things would change very fast."
"Some people don't like advice, even if it's wise."
"True, but there are situations in which those people have to follow that advice, whether they like it or not."
She didn't continue, but she looked at Sky, and it was clear what Garance had in mind. She wanted to use the Night Witch to control Arrius. Formally, he would remain the Grand Master, but he would be just a puppet for someone else's will.
Even with all the hints, her words were a treason, and Remus could kill her on the spot for that. But he didn't move. Garance was smart, she wouldn't offer something like that if she wasn't sure it was possible. At the same time, Arrius was a powerful warrior, she wouldn't be able to control him without Remus's help.
He wasn't going to let some witch rule this island, naturally, but now he was interested. He also looked at Sky.
"Are you saying she's willing to do it?"
"Willing? No. But it's not a big deal. It would've been too risky if we relied on her will alone, because she could've changed her mind. Just like with the Grand Master, we'll leave her with no choice but to make the right decision."
"How's that possible?"
"Through magic, of course," Garance smiled mysteriously, and it was clear she wasn't going to give away all of her secrets.
Remus didn't care, he considered magic a dirty art. He finally allowed himself to step closer to Sky and stop right in front of her. The Night Witch didn't even blink, and though her eyes remained open, he wasn't sure she was awake.
"What's happening to her?" he asked.
"She's in trance, Master Remus."
"We can't let her get near Arrius like that, he'll understand everything!"
"I'm not planning too. It's only the beginning, I caught her mind today. She'll be changing day after day. When I'm done with her, the Grand Master will be happy to spend some time with her."
"How do I know it's not a trick? That she's not pretending on your order so you can set me up?"
"You can check it, my lord."
That was all the invitation he needed. He moved his hand behind her neck to pull her closer and kissed her. It wasn't a gentle kiss, it was a rough and passionate one. Sky could pretend all she wanted, but Remus knew full well she'd never be able to keep her cool under his touch.
But this time she didn't make a sound or try to move away. She was warm and soft, alive and real, but she wasn't trying to fight him. She didn't do anything to show she enjoyed it, but Remus didn't really care. He didn't give a damn about what she felt as long as he could use her. She was as beautiful as any other Night Witch, and he loved it.
He continued kissing her, deeper and with force, while his hands slid her dress off her shoulders, baring her perfect breasts to him. His lips moved down her face to her neck, enjoying her silky skin. Remus wanted to taste her, to take her, make her scream under him – from pain or pleasure, he didn't care. But when he finally reached her breasts and bit down her nipple, Garance's voice stopped him:
"That would be enough, Master Remus."
He pulled back from Sky reluctantly, but only to smirk at Garance:
"Why? You think she's still a virgin not ready for me?"
"No, I just know how fragile her trance is. You'll have to wait, my lord. Give me some time, work with me, and in a couple of days you'll be able to do whatever you want with her, I promise."
