Saksham raised his eyebrows and looked at this scene with amusement. Although he knew that the person sitting inside the room at the end of the corridor would be short-tempered, he didn't think it would be so bad. He was more curious about the person inside that room. How angry and powerful a person should be to throw a person so far from inside the room? Although he wanted to test it out himself, he wasn't here for that. So, he kept his curiosity in and kept his head down again, waiting for someone to call his name.
He didn't really have to wait for a long time before someone came from inside the room and called out his name. Saksham stood up while slowly lifting his cape behind him. Although he stood up and walked from in front of all the people standing there, no one actually noticed until he walked past their eyes. Saksham didn't walk too fast nor too slow. He kept a moderate pace and reached the person who called his name. When Saksham patted his shoulder, he was surprised to see someone standing beside him. Before he could wonder about how a person stood beside him, Saksham opened his mouth and said in his terrifyingly hoarse voice, "I am Asura."
The person who called his name was surprised before he nodded and lead him inside the room. Saksham also followed behind him silently, sensing his surroundings. As he walked inside the room, Saksham felt there were about 4 people hiding silently inside the room somewhere. And all of them were not weak character either. It seemed as if they were protecting whoever was inside the room. After analyzing it till here, Saksham raised his head and looked inside the room from under the hood. He saw a big room with a big luxurious couch at the side and a crystal clear glass table with it. There were also 2 big bookshelves on the right side of the room. Most of the books were kept the wrong way. From this, Saksham concluded that the bookshelves were not for the decoration, but the owner of those shelves does read the books in it.
And besides all these things, there were also some paintings hung on the walls around. There was not much interesting from the perspective of a normal person, but Saksham could feel something unusual about those paintings. He could feel some kind of aura in those paintings. He wasn't sure about what those were, so he just shook his head and finally looked at the person whom Akram told him not to anger at any cost. Saksham saw a beautiful woman of about 25-30 years old. She wore a professional suit and sat on her work chair behind a big table. The table had an hourglass, a bunch of files, and a coffee mug on it.
Right now, the beautiful woman was looking at a file in her hand. As soon as the woman heard the sounds of the footsteps, she raised her head to ask where was the Asura she called for, but her words got stuck in her throat as she once again looked carefully to find someone walking behind the clerk. The sounds of his footsteps were very faint and his presence was almost non-existent. If someone didn't pay attention to him, he would disappear from their vision. Also, no matter how much she tried, she couldn't see what was under that hood of his. Only a pair of lips, as well as the tip of the nose, could be seen. It was as if there was nothing but darkness under that hood. As for the mysterious-looking lines that were beating rhythmically on his suit as well as his overall cover-up was very intriguing for her.
She knocked her nails on the table in interest and said, "Assassin type Usual huh? This is pretty interesting."
Saksham didn't reply and just nodded silently. For her to notice his presence without him even revealing himself, meaning that the woman in front of him was pretty strong. Normal people would never be able to find him unless he reveals himself intentionally. But as a person gets stronger, the effect of the suit became weaker for them. The same was the case right now. The suit he was wearing right now was made only for 5 EP. He never expected himself to remain invisible in front of King level Power users or higher. Even saying King level Power users was him overestimating the effect of suit.
The woman gestured Saksham to sit on the chair in front of her. Saksham also sat down silently. The clerk left the room and closed the door behind him. Now, only silence flowed in the whole room. The woman was the first one to break the silence and said, "Let's get this done with quickly. I will ask a couple of questions and all you have to do it answer them truthfully. Any lies and you will go home with a few broken bones as well as won't be granted the ID card from IOEA ever. Is this clear?"
Saksham also nodded and said, "I know the rules. You can ask your questions."
Hearing his voice, the woman was pretty surprised. She had never heard someone's voice that would make her tremble like this. Maybe her brother's voice would also make her tremble if he's angry, but normally it would be fine. But this voice was very unique. It could make anyone feel more uncomfortable the more one heard it. Although it would be mostly artificial voices from a computer that could make someone's voice like this, she could feel that it was a natural voice. How could someone's voice become like this? She shook her head gently and threw this thought at the back of her head.
Then, she opened the file lying on the table in front of her and opened it. She read a little and said, "Asura, the man-eating demon, who massacred more than 100 people in just 1 night. The people are nowhere to be found yet. You have been affiliated with an extremely small gang in Indirapuram whose earlier leader used to be Rhytham Tyagi. After Akshat and his backer power user disappeared one night, Rhytham's gang dominated the entire Indirapuram since then. But instead of engaging in bad practices, Rhytham and his gang are doing a legit business and earning money on the bright sides. Even police have reported that the crime rate has significantly dropped in the region of Indirapuram. Is all this correct?"
Saksham looked at her quietly and then nodded.
"Indeed, it is all correct," Saksham said.
"Alright, so we have the basics covered. Let's start with the main questions now. First, what's your gender?" The woman asked.
Hearing this, there were 2 voices in Saksham's head. One was constantly screaming 'SAY IT! SAY IT!', while the other was saying 'DON'T DO IT! DON'T DO IT!'.
After a brief struggle inside his head, Saksham opened his mouth and said, "Female."
Tbh, I was not going to post a chapter today. And the reason being that I got a back injury because I slipped and fell 2 days ago. I am strictly told to rest on the bed and not to move much. Even sitting for an extended period of time was painful. So, I decided not to write anything today and just post one of my written poems as compensation. I know, a weird way to compensate, but that's all I could give you guys. Anyways, I sat for a while because I felt much better and wrote down a chapter as fast as I could. Well, that's it for today and I will see you guys in the next chapter.
