Going to space

"And now that you have taken a look, what are you going to do?", asked Fury.

"Well at first I wanted to find out whether there were more Skrulls and Kree apart from you and this guy's men ..."

"And if there were? What then?", asked Maria.

Ichibe smiled and showed his teeth. And then he said in a sinister tone. 

"Then I kill them all!!!"

This statement was not taken well by those present in the room. Although ... Fury was not really angry. He was the only one who noticed what Ichibe's words meant. He said that he wanted to make sure whether there were more Skrulls and Kree ... he was not talking about killing any humans. In fact, he claimed to be a protector of the world. 

The others on the other hand ... well needless to say that they were not happy. Talos was worried now. He did not like what he was hearing. The fact that this man took out one of his men and then came in here without anyone noticing was ... scary. And now he threatened to kill all of his people. 

Talos couldn't let him find his family. He had to stop the discussion from getting to the point where they find out his family is somewhere, otherwise, that man would kill them all. 

"What was that? You kill all the Kree and Skrulls that are on the planet? And you think I'll let you do that?", of course Captain Marvel had to come at Ichibe with an attitude. She didn't listen to him or let him finish and just jumped at the chance to show off her powers. 

Her fists started to glow as she got angry. 

"No need to get all worked up. I believe the 'Monk' ... has an 'and' to add at the end of his sentence there. Or am I wrong?"

"Ever the observant agent are you not, Agent Fury.", Ichibe smiled at Fury. It was interesting and predictable that he was the only one who picked up on his words. 

"What are you talking about?", asked Maria. 

"Well I said that I would kill the Skrulls and Kree that just came to Earth but I am not someone who needs to always go for that solution to deal with all problems. As long as the Skrulls and other Kree leave the Earth I have no problem with letting them live."

"So you want to get rid of us no matter what might happen to us, just so that humans can live their lives happily? What about our race?", Talos almost screams. 

"What about your race?"

"YOU!!"

Of course, Carol had to give her two cents as well.

"You sound like a racist right now."

"Perhaps ..."

And then Ichibe pulls the most scary smirk ever and continues. 

"... but I can't quite be racist to a race that doesn't exist. Which will happen should you decide to stay on Earth."

"Ok! I think we understood your point. You said that you are not against the idea of letting the Skrulls go, should they promise to leave the planet, no?", Fury tries to stop a fight from happening. 

"That is correct."

"That's good then. How about we continue the discussion we had before this fiasco? Why are you here Talos?"

The Skrull was less than happy. He was livid to be precise and he wanted nothing more than to beat this 'Monk'. His negotiation with the Kree woman didn't work as this 'Monk' interfered. Now he had nothing over her to make her listen to him. But maybe this new threat would make her listen.

"Before you were ruining everything, I was trying to make her", Talos points to Carol, "listen to something that is called a 'black box' from the day the accident happened. There is something on there that will interest you and I was hoping you would listen to what it says."

"I thought it was destroyed during the crash. How did you get to it?", asked Maria. 

"Skrulls have the power to shapeshift. When they do that they can become anyone and also gain their most recent memories. It is the reason why they can't stay here on Earth.", Ichibe told them.

"Well, we don't want to stay on Earth! We just want to be left alone and not prosecuted.", Talos muttered through his teeth. 

They listened to the black box together and heard the things it said. The words Lawson said to Captain Carol Danvers and their escape from other non-terrestrial aircraft. Their eventual crash and the words that Lawson told Danvers shortly before she died. 

They also found out that the Supreme Intelligence as well as Yon-Rogg were lying to her the entire time. She was not actually a Kree but a human that was taken by Yon-Rogg and the Kree to take her to their side and use her as a weapon. 

"It was all a lie. My entire life is a lie that they have been feeding me.", Carol said. 

It was obvious that she was angry and for good reason. Her hands started to glow yellow. 

Ichibe had listened to the black box as well and came to his own conclusions. The Kree were quite despicable and his belief to not have any of them on Earth was strengthened. He would make sure that those that would come to Earth are either eradicated or sent back ... not eradicated is probably the better idea. Although he must check their true names first to make a judgement, after all this Lawson was different from the other Kree. She was seemingly helping the Skrulls if Talos' expression is anything to go by.

"I see now. I thought it was strange. But this explains it.", he said.

"What are you talking about? Did you know that I was abducted?", Carol of course made everything about her. 

"Well, I knew you were not a full Kree the moment I saw you. Your name told me so, but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the energy you produce when you use your powers. It was similar to another energy source I know about."

"What energy source?", Fury asked him. He was trying to use any form of information to get more intel on Ichibe. But it was weird at the moment. He got nothing but the fact that he was willing to kill those who stood against himself and Earth.

"Well, the Kree call it the Tesseract. It is the purest form of space energy that exists in the universe and that is also what Carol's energy smells like."

"Smells? You are quite a strange character.", Maria acted the most human out of everyone. And that made sense as Fury was a superspy in the making. 

Ichibe only grinned and showed his white teeth. Like, that would answer everything. 

"So what do you have to do with everything? I don't see how any of this information has anything to do with your Skrulls.", Fury was getting them back on track. 

"The thing is that Mar-Vell was actually trying to help us Skrulls. We need your help with finding her ship. And since you were the last one to be with her, we thought that you'd be able to do that.", Talos explained.

"She had a ship? As in a spaceship?", Maria asked the stupid question. And no matter what people tell you, there might not be stupid questions in general but if something has already been said and the conclusion answers your question, then it is plain stupid to ask it again. Unless you don't come to this conclusion, that is. 

Suddenly Carol gasps. She has an understanding look on her face. 

"I remember now. I remember who I was. It all came back to me.", she said. 

"I will help you, Talos. But the Quadjet won't be able to reach space. We have to upgrade it somehow.", she added. 

"Well, Norex could do it, IF he wasn't knocked unconscious right now!", Talos said.

"HAHAHA, well it's good that he is waking up then.", Ichibe just laughed at that. He knew that this one would still be important when he saw him for the first time. A mechanic was always useful. 

"Norex! Are you alright?"

"Agh, what happened?"

"HAHAHAHA, I knocked you out, my fragile friend. But don't worry I won't do it again. Now we are in need of your expertise. You must upgrade our aeroplane."

"... What?"

.

After explaining everything to Norex, he got to work to make the Quadjet able to fly in space. And when he was finished it was finally time to get to space. Ichibe was excited as this was the first time that he travelled to space in a spaceship. 

Besides he will see his ... 'brother' or half-brother for the first time. He already met with time but it was his first with space. You never know maybe he'll like him. Not that that would matter of course. 

Deciding to sacrifice Norex, the group left Maria's garden and went to space. Truly this was suboptimal for Ichibe. There was no way that he would allow a Skrull body to stay unattended. That would be used and experimented on by SHIELD when the Gotei 13 could use that knowledge much better.

"Píng'ān, it's me.", Ichibe didn't have to say his name, Píng'ān knew it was him already."

"Captain, what can I do for you?"

"I'm currently together with the Half-Kree woman and the Skrull. We are going to a spaceship that belonged to another Kree that died 6 years ago."

"I understand."

"I'm calling now to tell you that there is a Skrull on the Rambeau property that will die very soon and I need Lei Fang to go get it."

"I understand. It will be done Headcaptain. I'll call Lei Fang right away."

"Thank you, Píng'ān."

"Of course Headcaptain."

After saying that they hung up and Ichibe prepared for the boarding of Mar-Vell's spaceship.
