The squirrel demon bit his bottom lip and lowered his head. His fingers rummaged beneath his belt and took out a pouch.

He extended his hand, "Please spare my life."

Wang Hua jumped forward to snatch her pouch from him but the prince was faster by using his magic.

Hiss! Wang Hua now was more tempted to stab this thief.

He checked the gold while the hag girl hastily rushed to the dove girl.

"Give me my gold!"

"I'm a thief, I have gained gold, why should I return it? If you want it, you should work for me. Then I will consider your wish."

He was uttering the words coldly when he tossed the pouch to Wu Yuhang.

Jia Yi neared her mouth to Wang Hua's ear, "We have supplied enough and I have a silver Tael left, let's leave. We can't beat them."

She didn't want to become a slave again.

"I wish we never meet each other again, thief boss." Wang Hua was convinced that she could hardly force her hands not to tremble and expose her affliction.

"But I'm sure we will see each other again, little thief."

The prince noted but in a split second, the girls jumped on the horse and dashed out. He had given her the black pearl and would navigate her location later but for now, he had another business to take care of.

Exactly when the demon squirrel assumed that he got a chance to win mercy from him, the prince's fierce heart-wrecking glare shifted on the crouched demon squirrel.

"You got some guts to withdraw from your vow, do you know how we condemn oath breakers like you?"

Dishi swallowed but his mouth was dry and his shoulders were shaking.

In a blink of an eye, Ming Xiao Bo appeared beside his ear, breathing out a few words that made the demon faint, instantly, "We will eat them."

Those words were enough to suck his spirit out of his body. They worked as poison.

"I won't carry him."

Wu Yuhang turned around and left, indifferently.

"Why did you tease him? He couldn't escape from us anyway."

Luo Hao Yu remarked and nonchalantly left with Li Bai and Feng Feiyu.

Only Li Jinhai and Ming Xiao Bo were standing there with dumbfounded expressions.

Prince Jinhai quickly turned on his heels and left not to carry this malodorous demon.

"Jinhai, don't leave me." Xiao Bo begged innocently.

"Hey, you, I brought you what you wanted, is this how you thank me?" He shouted at Li Bai.

"Then finish your task and carry him to Jin guesthouse."

The voice came from Feng Feiyu who waved his hand.

After having their chamber in Jin Guesthouse, they gathered around a table to have some Baijiu drinks. Their first night in this village was full of bizarre incidents.

"Well, Boss Li Bai. Tell us about the girl, why did you take her golds?"

Li Bai mischievously smirked, "Because she would do everything to take her gold back but not to enter that forest again."

The Lords exchanged glances although before they could ask any further questions, Dishi grunted in pain, he was waking up. His body contracted and ached.

Ming Xiao Bo sealed him near a column with his magical rope and a paralyzing spell on his forehead to make sure he would not be able to stand on foot.

"Boss, please open my hands, I won't be able to steal anything if you keep me like this. I might lose them."

He implored but the Lords ignored him.

The prince trailed off, "She must be a physician if not a thief but I wonder why she doesn't have any spiritual magic core."

While the men were contemplating the subject the demon crept closer like a worm but even that was tough and he began to gasp for the air and stopped before losing more spiritual essence. His lungs could burst out. He could no longer do anything else to flee.

"I know why doesn't she have it."

Dishi exclaimed and sheepishly grinned, and continued, "If you open my hand and give me some Baijiu, I'm going to tell you everything I know about the spiritual magic core."

This caught the prince's attention and his eyes squinted at him, he took a sip of his drink and noted, "Stay loyal to me by blood, then I will listen to you and grant your wish."

The demon swallowed. If he come across a blood pledge, it didn't matter where he was up to escape, this man could kill him by breaking his spiritual magic core."

"I swear I am loyal to you."

"Tsk, we witnessed it an hour ago."

Li Jinhai remarked.

"I am a man of my word, if you don't accept my offer, I will have to kill you after this mission because I can't let you go and notify anyone about my agendas."

The prince was tempted to menace this squirrel since he knew a lot, it meant he had worked years as a spy that could provide him with extensive practical information. He had to be cautious.

The demon froze in his place, he was certain that this heartless wolf would kill him, and if not him that tiger would tear him into chunks of flesh.

He found no option but blood pledge and survive his current misery.

He would be a slave again, what an ominous fate.

"Alright, I accept to be bonded to you by blood pledge."

He voiced it intensely desperate.

"Good then, bring him here, Ming Xiao Bo."

The Lord let his hand out and cast a spell, the paralyzing paper vanished and the rope untied while dragging the demon close to the prince.

He kneeled before the prince, keeping his head lowered.

"Hold your arm out."

Dishi stretched his arm and the prince quickly split his skin with the touch of his magic, a thread of red blood streamed out and was safeguarded by a blue aura moving to the prince.

Right after that, Li Bai extract a thread of his own blood and performed the blood pledge formation.

The blood mixed and rushed to the timid demon's arm. It left a red flame mark on his arm.

"It hurts."

He was right, it would burn for two days and would itch for three consecutive days.

Li Bai poured some drink for Dishi and handed him, "This might lessen the soreness."

Dishi quickly snatched the cup to dig in.

He cleaned his mouth with his tattered dirty sleeve, "Ahahah, that was so good." Picking a salted almond seed he tossed it into his mouth.

"Disgusting." Wu Yuhang stated while averting his head, "Now, tell us! What is wrong with those girls?"

"Well, demons like me have a unique aptitude, we can see things differently..."

"Stop beating around the bushes, get on the gist before I cut your tongue, we need your hands not your tongue."

Feng Feiyu cut that crap immediately. They asked about the girl, not his dirty ass.

"Yes, yes, sir, why are you so aggressive?"

"Then, talk if you want us to treat you nicely."

Xiao Bo grinned sweetly, exposing the dark claw on his forefinger that glinted under the light. That sharp nail could split him in half.

Dishi sighed, "Alright, someone has stolen her spiritual core."

He said briefly and fast only to bring bewilderment.

Li Jinhai chucked, "It is your unique aptitude, indeed."
