"Mom, I'm hungry."
Out of the blue, Cassie drawled and address her mom.
"Do you want fruits?"
The other party offered but Cassie shook her head.
"No. I want walnut cookies."
"Alright."
Her mom agreed right away. She rose to her feet and headed to the kitchen to search for some cookies.
"Let me see, where did I put the walnut cookies again?"
She asked Cassie when she noticed that the child followed after her. But the child did not answer. The other party on the other heard continued searching for the said cookies.
Meanwhile, Cassie had her eyes on the scissors place along with the knives. She took it and hid it behind her just in time as when her mother turned around to face her.
"I think we ate them all. Can I get them for you tomorrow?"
She asked her.
"We don't buy walnut cookies. That last time I ate one, I have to go to the hospital because it turned out I was allergic to nuts."
Cassie reminded her 'mom' with a blank expression.
"Oh, yeah. Right! I almost forgot."
The other party said as she awkwardly scratched the back of her head.
"My mom never forgets that because she is a doctor."
Cassie told the other party with an upturned eyebrow.
"Come on, honey. It just slipped on m mind today because I am too tired."
Her mom replied but just as when she was about to touch Cassie's head, the little girl took a step back and put a safe distance between them.
"You are not my mom!"
She blurted out but the other party just smiled at her.
"What are you saying? I am your mom an--"
Before the other party could even finish what she was saying, Cassie already stuck her with the pointy end of her scissors.
"Cassiopeia?! Look what you have done!"
Her mom exclaimed in disbelief when Cassie stabbed her without even batting an eye.
"Where is my mom?!"
Cassie asked her back and so the other party finally shed her pretense and aimed for the child's neck.
She strangled her and looked at her with glaring eyes.
"I am your mom!"
But Cassie kicked her hard on her shin so she let her go.
"Honey! Get the child!"
The other party exclaimed as she ran after Cassie.
Cassie, on the other hand, ran as fast as her feet could take her. She headed to her room and locked the door just right before the two adults could catch up with her.
She took a chair and placed it right under the doorknob. Then she also pulled her table and place it against her door.
She pretty much pulled and put everything she could move, next to her door. Hoping that it could fortify it and hold the forth from the two impostors that were after her.
"Cassie?"
She heard her dad's voice calling her.
"Stay away from me!"
She shouted back.
"Open the door."
"No, I won't!"
She refused right away. But the more she responded to them, the more they pound on her door.
"Come outside. Let's talk about this."
This time, it was her mom speaking.
"Leave me alone."
At this point, her voice could no longer help but quiver with emotion.
"Come on, be a good girl. I have candies with me. They're delicious. Do you want some?"
The other party insinuated but Cassie was not a fool to believe that.
"Help! Someone, please help me!"
She shouted at the top of her lungs.
