In-person, Marijeois was much much bigger than Hisoka thought it would be. Pangea castle itself was as big as a mountain and completely towered over the entire resting home of the Celestial Dragons.
The city itself had gorgeous scenery with the city almost shining. They use a very specific rock to build. The rock seemed to shine under the sunlight. The houses themselves were mansions which were quite large. Its had to lose sight of size when Pangea castle was just lurking in the background.
It was interesting to think that the gap between himself and the ruler of the entire world was this small. Hisoka wondered what kind of person Imu was. Perhaps that meeting would take place later down the line.
First, he needed a map of the entire area. While Hisoka knew the general locations of a few things, he didn't know how to get to his main goal which was important.
He believed a map could probably be found in the living area of the guards. The only problem with this was that the guards living area was apparently right next to the city and had at least 15 guards posted and watching at all times. We were currently in an alley-way around 2 minutes of walking away from the building.
So he couldn't teleport there without risking an alarm going off. That was also a problem. Hisoka was unaware of the level of technology in this city. So going invisible could trip an alarm while his observation haki could probably detect them it was better being safe than sorry.
"This is what we'll do Sigma. We pose as guards and get into the building. From then it's simple to work really. I don't want to kill anyone because I don't anyone to really know that anyone was here. Only kill if you're backed into a corner."
"I'm assuming we'll be wearing costumes."
"It wouldn't be possible to get there without out any."
Hisoka used his imagination to get them both into a uniform for the celestial dragon's guards.
They walked out on to the street and made their way to the "castle" where the guards resided.
There was a door that had a single key-hole to the entrance. All doors or locks were useless in front of doors, he was their natural weakness. He imagined that it was opened and simply walked in with Sigma.
There were two towers which had 8 guards in total. The guards were nothing special and none of them stood out.
Hisoka and Sigma continued walking towards the entrance of the stronghold. The castle looked very medieval which didn't fit in with the structures that surrounded it.
They walked in through the door and looked at the structures inside. Funnily enough, the inside looked like a palace.
The thing that caught Hisokas eye straight away was a mermaid in the corner of the entrance, scrubbing the floor. She had a collar around his neck and was being watched by one of the guards. Her skin was rough and bruised and her tail had a few cuts on it.
While Hisoka knew the celestial dragons used slaves, he didn't expect the guards to use slaves. So even the common man will use slaves if given the opportunity.
The mermaid looked at Hisoka who had just entered and essentially flinched. The very sight of a guard was enough to scare her. The guard noticed the two new appearances in the castle and went to his supposed "Co-workers".
"Good morning. Have you just come in from your shift." A gruff and deep voice from behind the helmet.
"Yes. Hopefully, I can get my rest now." Hisoka improvised.
"Yeah I get ya, If you have a little bit of energy in ya we can play around with this thing." The last word was spat out with obvious disgust.
"I think I'll pass today," Hisoka said. He wondered if the guards were indoctrinated by the world government and the Celestial dragons.
"You should get your report in quickly. The boss is having one of those days again." He said while pointing the door directly opposite to the entrance.
"Oh hopefully, he doesn't bite my head off."
"Get going, kid." The other man laughed.
Hisoka and Sigma made their way to the door which was pointed at. Screams and grunting could be heard from the other side.
He knocked on the door and heard a voice allowing him to enter.
The scene inside was just a bloodbath.
Two guards were hanging upside down from the ceiling with cuts along their foreheads. Their intestines were hanging out and painted the floor with their blood. Another guard was pinned to a will with knives stuck in his hands.
So this was he meant by 'one of those days.'.
"What do you want? Hurry it up!"
The commander was the opposite of what Hisoka thought he'd be. He was wearing a lab coat and was quite skinny and frail. He had long dishevelled hair which was also reflected in his clothes which were untidy and stained.
Hisoka knew exactly who this man was.
"I've come to give my report."
The room turned white. Like a blank canvas. It was just a white cube.
The commander was in a chair and tied up to his chair.
Hisoka took off his helmet to reveal his face.
The commander's face shifted from shock to amusement.
"Takeuchi Hisoka, I can definitely say it's a surprise to see you."
"I've been requested for something and you can help me with that, Mr Sigmund Rascher. I'm surprised to see someone like you here."
Sigmund Rascher was a sick and twisted man. He was known throughout the world for conducting inhumane experiments. He worked for the marines as a chief scientist so he wasn't convicted of any crimes. But he piqued the curiosity of Hisoka.
"I had an argument with my co-worker, I'm sure you know him. I ended up killing him so the marines and the world government stationed me here under the pretence that I was to study the difference between fishmen and humans." He laughed.
"That makes sense. Do you have a map of this area?" Hisoka casually asked. He knew that Rascher had no loyalty for the marines, it was clear in the way he spoke.
"A map? You'll probably find one."
Sigma was able to hear everything and was carrying out his tasks from outside the box.
"Are you going to kill me now?" He asked, still keeping that smile of his.
"No, not yet. I have something I need you for something later down the line." Hisoka grabbed the scalp of Rascher.
Imagining someone's memories to disappear is quite hard. To imagine something so abstract can come with a few drawbacks.
However, Hisoka managed to do it finely. Rascher was someone who interested him massively it would be a waste to kill him now. He felt that he'd be useful for him later.
The cube slowly fell and revealed they were in the same room the entire time.
"Here's the map. If the map is correct then Ephron treasury is south of this area underneath the forests of Marijeois." Sigma reported.
"That's perfect."
The forests of Marijois was essentially the garden of the residents of Pangea castle and the celestial dragons.
This was perhaps the closest he'd get to Pangea castle and he was going to take advantage of every chance that presented itself to Hisoka.
Sigma and Hisoka walked out of the office and out the way the came back in. They walked past the mermaid who was still being watched over by the guard.
They left the castle and made their way to the new destination.
The forests.
