The market place that I had designed was vastly different from any that was seen in this era.
According to my plans for this place, this will become the epicentre of the entire city. Everyone coming to the city will have to come here to fulfill any shopping need they might have.
The area was divided into four lanes of sufficient size so that it would not get crowded even in heavy traffic.
The first lane was dedicated entirely to house the market for food related stuff. Anyone who wished to sell or buy any type of produce from anywhere would be given ample space according to his/her product capacity. The variety could be as broad as a cart full of grains to a handful of fruits plucked from their own yard. There was to be no tax collected from people who would actually stay in this city and even the merchants from outside would only be taxed minimally for storage and cleanliness.
