“Nice wings.”

Galen was rather taken aback when he heard that. He swiveled around in a hurry. It was Odon

“I hate them. What are you doing here?”

Odon’s expression turned serious. “I’m in need of your assistance.”

Galen frowned. “I’m a lowly cupid. You know as well as I do that my angelic magic is nothing compared to most of the angels who reside up there. Whatever it is you want my help for, I don’t think I can do much for you.”

“On the contrary, you’re the right angel for the task.”

Galen was a little curious now. “What is it?”

“A few minutes ago, I caught wind of a certain gossip about a demon who is apparently planning to stir up plenty of trouble up here on the mortal plane. There was a crack in the barrier between the underworld and the realm that separates hell from the mortal plane. That demon escaped before the broken part could be resealed.”

Galen stared at Odon. “Why are you telling me that? You’re a grim reaper. Aren’t you supposed to be friends with the demons?”
