The Immortal in Star Wars

Going to the galaxy far far away, was something that the MC always wanted. But going there is dangerous, so he has to make sure his one wish counts. What better than to simply wish for immortality? He will find out the ups and downs. Well ... he should have asked for a specific time to be born in. Now he waits.

The Veriteans

Centuries have passed since Veritara has been 'born' or 'created'. Since then, I haven't moved from here. The planet was my child and I came to love it like I did the Explorer and the PBC. I understood that these three would always stay with me in my immortal life. I only had to find a way to I could take them with me, should I ever leave this Universe. I had my sight set on other galaxies already and getting there was no problem. But what if I had enough of this, and wanted to see another world? So I had to find a way to connect these three to my soul and have them come with me.

I observed and also guided the evolution of life on Veritara. Together, she, Veritara and I, began to create life. I observed and sometimes guided life on its path and through evolution. What I wanted to create was my own new species. A race that would be the first of the Order I will create. I wanted my understanding of the Force to carry over and create something that was just as appreciative as I was.

Even though the wish to be immortal was done out of fear, I came to appreciate this new chance I got. Who else could say that they had the chance to travel to the Universe of Star Wars and explore to their heart's content? I was here almost from the beginning and that had to amount of something. I was taught by the Force itself that and could grow more powerful with each reincarnation. I could do my own research, collect samples of flora and fauna and even create my very own planet. I was no longer sad about my situation.

Yes, immortality was hard on my previously relatively weak mindset, but that had changed. I was now more in tune with my immortality and had even begun to act like it. I was currently guiding evolution itself as it happened in front of me. My title of the 'Observer' was well deserved.

.

As the centuries passed, I saw the birth of nature and since Veritera was connected to the Force and not 'tainted' by any side, there were many different plants to be found. Some of the carnivorous plants had a stronger connection to the 'darker' 'wavelengths' of the Force. And some others were rather connected to 'lighter' sides. But there was no boundary where one started and the other began because nothing could exist without the other. I was clear on that front. There wouldn't be any arrogance or strife between anyone and anything. Respect was one of the most important words.

After the flora had more or less established itself, the fauna wasn't far behind. I observed the microorganisms coming to life and affecting the nature around them. It was like seeing the evolution of Earth but just a bit faster. But unlike Earth, there weren't any world-ending scenarios that would cause global extinction. I was there to guide it.

At some point, I separated the race I wanted to create from the other living creatures. The creatures were similar to the fauna. There were differences in all of them and death and life were closely connected. But nothing would ever win over the other. I came to realise that the concentration of the Force energies on Veritara was so high, that should another race come here, they would most likely not survive and be instantly absorbed by the planet in some way. It would be like walking in honey.

.

Slowly my race came to be. I watched them fight for survival and gave their genome some tweaks here and there. As they evolved from animals to bipedal, I could see what they would most likely turn into. And I was shocked, to say the least. They had very similar appearances to the 'Osmosians' from Ben 10, the children's show. After coming to terms with this, I decided that the name 'Osmosians' wasn't that bad of a name, but I decided on 'Verieans'. It described what I wanted for them quite well.

I left things as they were and simply continued to watch. And when they were finally finished and their evolution was complete, I could feel it. Not only I but the Force as well could feel that they were complete and was happy. This happiness could be felt as a ripple across the Universe and all those who were Force-sensitive could feel it.

I was in awe when I saw them. Not because they were beautiful or anything like that. Beauty was not something that interested me. And I saw beauty differently anyway. They were indeed beautiful, but not because of their appearance, not that I cared about that, but because of their potential. I could feel my connection to them and they could as well. They were very advanced and intelligent, but they weren't arrogant.

I wasn't sure about the name I would give them, but maybe they would come up with one on their own. They were humanoid in stature. They had humanoid legs and also four fingers and one thumb. There was no hair present on their bodies. The colour was mostly black, except for a few white spots. I came to understand that this was not their final look, but the way they looked when they were newly born.

Something which I thought was beautiful, was that they carried their emotions in their eyes. That means that the colour of their eyes was also the emotion they were feeling. This made them very honest. This could be seen as a weakness, but not after I teach them about the Force. It is said that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. But my race wouldn't do that. I made them to be incorruptible. That doesn't mean that they would only be using the light side of the Force. No, they would use all different aspects of the Force, like I intended them to, but they won't be used by other people or succumb to their emotions.

.

I was overjoyed when they were finally here and couldn't wait to interact with them. I approached them and began to communicate with them via feelings. That's the way they communicate at the moment. And I enjoyed it. I transmitted my feelings to them and through our connection, they knew who I was immediately. They at first saw me as their god, but I stopped that very quickly. I didn't want that. I wanted them to act naturally with me. If they revere me, I wouldn't care that much, but no worshipping. I wanted to live among them and not have them create me a throne.

I began to teach them from scratch. Due to their rather fast evolution, they were still a blank piece of paper and I intended to fill that paper with knowledge and teach them. I first taught them how to talk and how to use the nature around them properly. I wouldn't allow them to do the same thing most races do and steal everything the planet has to offer.

Respect ... once again. Respect was important and so was humility. And for that, I told them the story from a trailer I had seen in my original life. It was one of the coolest game trailers I had ever seen, Overwatch: Dragons. Since no one could prove otherwise, I told them the story as if it had happened to our family. Since that's what they were now, my family.

"Our family tells of an ancient legend about two great Dragon Brothers, the Dragon of the North Wind and the Dragon of the South Wind. Together, they upheld balance and harmony in the heavens."

[Picture]

As I was telling them the story, I used the Force to create illusions and illustrations about the story, as I had seen in the trailer. I had practised this power a long time ago since I never understood why no one used illusions more. It is a good way to fight.

"But one day, the two brothers argued over who could better rule their land. Their quarrel turned to rage and their violent struggle darkened the skies until the Dragon of the South Wind struck down his brother, who fell to Earth ... shattering the lands."

[Picture]

"Woooah", they said as they saw the Dragons fight in the sky, as I had them do that. I smiled at them. It was like I was teaching intelligent children. They were smart and empathic, but still children. And I enjoyed it.

"The Dragon of the South Wind had triumphed. But as time passed he realized his solitude. The sweetness of victory ... turned to ash. For years, the bereft Dragon's grief threw the world into discord. And he knew only bitterness and sorrow."

[Picture]

"Ohh.", I heard some of them say and some even had tears in their eyes, as they saw the sadness in the Dragon, as I created him. They were very empathetic/ compassionate. I used the Force to transmit the feeling of the Dragon and made the experience that much better.

"One day a stranger called up to the Dragon and asked: 'Oh great Dragon Lord, why are you so distraught?'

The Dragon told him: 'Seeking power, I killed my brother. But without him, I am lost.'

The stranger replied: 'You have inflicted wounds upon yourself. But now, you must heal. Walk the Earth on two feet as I do ... Find value in humility, then you will find peace.'"

[Picture]

They were listening to me with concentrated expressions. Expressions were hard to make out for anyone who wasn't of their race. But I made them, they were my children. I could feel and understand them the best.

I smiled and then continued to tell the last bit of the story.

"The Dragon knelt upon the ground. For the first time, he was able to clearly see the world around him and he became Veriean."

[Picture]

"The stranger revealed himself to be his fallen brother. Reunited, they set out to rebuild what they had once destroyed.", I finished the story.

[Picture]

I looked at them and waited for them to either say something or just let it settle. I tweaked the story a bit and instead of humans, they were 'Veriteans'. Finally, one of them, Clio asked me a question.

"I have a question.", she asked me. I smiled and replied.

"Yes, Clio?"

"I understand that you want to teach us the value of humility, but is this story true?", she asks me. Clio was a very happy 'child'. She was very interested and smart. She was never mean to others or judged them.

"Well, why don't you tell me?", I say and then stand up from my position. Suddenly my body begins to transform. It elongates and becomes much larger. More and more I begin to rise into the air so that nothing gets damaged. And not long after that ... I have transformed into an eastern dragon. I am very large and if I wanted, I could wrap around Veritara, but I keep it smaller at this moment and look at them.

[Picture]

"WHOA"

"WOOOW

"Can I do that too?"

"Mee too, I want to do that as well."

"Was this the Force? If so, we should also be able to do that."

I heard them talking amongst each other and then turned into my humanoid form. I learned this little 'trick', after having seen both the Son and the Daughters of the 'Celestials' transform into mystical creatures. I thought, why not and then tried it. The result was ... very satisfactory. I cold transform into any creature I wished. The more I knew about a creature, the easier it would be to transform into it. But I could also simply create one and give it the powers I already had.

"Can we do that?"

"Indeed. But until then, there will be a long time still. But don't worry ... we have all the time we will need. And one day, I will watch all of you transform into the mystical creatures you wish."
