The Immortal (twilight fanfiction)

"An everyday man gets thrown into the world of twilight thousands of years before the start of the plot. With immortality and incredible abilities. How will this man's presence change the outcome of the original story?" [ this is a slow-burn fanfiction; the MC is just trying to experience life and enjoy it, not to take over the world and rule from the shadows.] I do not own twilight or the characters of the twilight world, all that belongs to me are my own characters.

First meeting

Year 994 BC

Years in world- 3,006

After finishing my sandwich I reattached Buttercut to the cart and we continued our journey leaving the smoldering bodies of the three Volturi members who attacked me behind.

So me and Buttercup started our journey to Volterra. The city the Volturi got their name from and called home.

While walking I went over the fight in my head.

First, the sword is completely worthless against a vampire. Bronze is just too weak to do any real damage. I needed to shove the sword through my opponent's head just to kill him. I guess I'll need to learn how to fight with a hammer just to do actual damage. At least until I can get my hands on a samurai sword.

But other than that there was no problem. I was a complete badass who just took on three vampires on my own and ripped them to Pieces.

Compared to the first time I fought a vampire in Egypt, I was completely different. I was faster, stronger and I actually knew how to fight.

I just hope that when I meet the Volturi they won't try to manipulate me. I know that when most people see me all they see is a handsome young man. But under all of that is someone who has seen all there is to be seen. Learned every known language, and stuffed their brain with more knowledge than everyone on this planet combined. seen more death and life than any breathing being.

And that's my advantage. letting others underestimate me and when they do that will be their fall.

It took a little under five months to make it to Volterra. And to tell you the truth I was a little surprised. It was a pretty good-sized village with a larger-than-normal population.

I walked beside Buttercup through the packed streets full of people trying to sell things to passers-by. Bringing back memories of when I used to do the same thing.

It wasn't hard to find where they were. There was a building much bigger than any other in the village with two people in the front wearing completely black cloaks shadowing their faces. And most people avoided looking in its direction.

So leading Buttercup to the front of the building I stopped her right in front of the two guards. pulling a few mint leaves from a pouch on my waist and letting her eat them out of my hand. All the while the two guards were looking at me as if I was slow in the head. But I didn't give them any thought and went to the back of my cart, grabbed the bag of heads from the cart, walked to the guards, I said in a happy voice.

"Delivery for the Volturi," I said, showing off my perfect teeth in a wide smile.

Both guards were clearly confused so I said.

"Look one of you go inside and tell Aro that the white-haired man is here and he will understand,'' I said to the guards

It took less than a second for the guard on my left to go inside and tell his boss about the crazy man at the door.

As we waited for the guard to come back I stood there with the bag in my hand tapping my foot and whistling a tune while waiting.

Looking at the guard in front of me I ask.

"Nice weather we're having today"

But he didn't say anything just standing there trying to be intimidating thinking his crimson-red eyes would scare me.

Instead, it made him look constipated.

Before I could warn him about his eyes popping out the door opened and the second guard stepped out.

"Follow me" was all he said then stepped back inside.

Following him through the corridors he led me to a large door. Pushing the door open he stepped to the side and then motioned for me to go in.

Once inside the guard closed the door behind him. I could see the three leaders themselves. It took all my might not to start laughing at the sight. All three of them were sitting on raised stone thrones acting intimidating. Forcing the laughter down I moved forward.

But once the three of them saw me they got looks of confusion.

Stepping in front of the three I raised my right hand and did a small wave saying.

"I heard that you were looking for me."

Caius looked over at Aro and said.

"This can't be him. This is just a boy and a human at that. I can hear his heart."

"That is true. Ever since Antuli left we have heard more rumors of this man from travelers who have passed through Volterra. Telling tales of how this man saved their village from a great sickness. And if it was him antuli would be here." Marcuse said in his deep monotone voice.

"Oh that was his name," I said, bringing their attention back to me.

"What do you mean?" Caius said in a voice that sounded like he was disgusted just by talking to me.

Setting the bag on the ground and opening it, I grabbed the vampire leader's head and pulled it out.

"Is this him?" I ask in a casual tone.

The three of them froze, not saying a word.

"No, maybe it's one of the others," I say, throwing the head over my shoulder and then pulling out the other two.

"This one or this one," I say lifting both heads

"It was the first one," Aro said, finally speaking.

"Oh, that guy. Yeah, we didn't really have a nice first meeting." I said, throwing the other two heads over my shoulders.

I saw a small smile appear at the corners of Aros' mouth.

Standing up, Aro approached me and stretched his hand out in a clear sign for a handshake.

I knew what he was doing. He wanted to get a look inside the old noggin. I couldn't help but chuckle. There was no way I was going to let him touch me and read my mind. Aros' powers allowed him to read every thought someone had ever had. And I didn't want him to know how I got to this world so I just looked at his hand and then back up at him.

"I'm not going to shake your hand," I said, putting my hands behind me.

"Your friend Antuli told me all about the Volturi before I ripped his head off," I lied.

Aro frowned but only for a second before going back to a small smile.

"What are you?" Caius asked

"Just a very strong long-lived human," I said with a shrug

As I said those words I saw Aro look behind me and nod then I felt a strange feeling come over me. Turning to look behind me I saw a young woman with brown hair and crimson-red eyes. Before I could think my blue system screen appeared in front of me with a message.

" attempted system interference detected. System Defense activated. Loading new system defense program. The system is loading…loading….loading…complete. New system setting activated mind shield. Mind shield will protect the host's mind from any outside interference. Such as mental intrusion. Mind reading. Mind manipulation. etc."

After reading the system message all I could say was.

"Score!"
