"Challenge me?" Alex asked, narrowing his eyes. The energy was overwhelming, but it was nothing he couldn't deal with.

Eric nodded. The calm aura he previously radiated morphed into that of violence. Mana swirled around him, and he glanced at Irner. "You might want to back off. My necromantic aura can harm plants like you."

Irner spat on the ground before relenting. He didn't wish to get caught up in a storm that would likely destroy the area within a 2 mile diameter. Having witnessed the battle against the manticore, he knew how devastating this fight would be.

Necromancer… it meant Eric could summon the undead. The battle would basically be one versus however many undead Eric possessed.

Irner didn't wish to be involved.

He was almost sure that Alex would lose, not because of insufficient power, but due to numbers. There was a thin line between a situation where numbers mattered and a situation where they didn't. The powers were relative this time.
