Fifteen years ago, a demon plucked the forbidden fruit and ate it. He is in love with his host, and is willing to abandon his dimension for her. To add insult to injury, he is the one and only, demon king: Orzar His action came at a cause, tearing space and time, creating a gigantic wormhole, connecting our world, to another, to hell. Opening a slaughter field as demons, monsters, spiritual beings. Beings of myth and legend flooded our world. Starting a war between dimensions, millions were dead, and the numbers are still rising. Those occupations that seems like joke and witticism started to become the list line of defense from those beings. Exorcists, priests, taoist hunters stood out, protecting humanity and finally forcing them back to their dimension, temporary. Those who are still left were taught to learn knowledge of such, humanity needed to arm to the teeth to fend off the second invasion, that is happening fast. With Fei being one of them, a what seems like a weakling, but someone with a very complicated and in fact dangerous background...
"Gah… Where is my license!" Fei dug out all his pockets, searched his entire duffle bag but to no avail. The only thing he could scavage of is that stupid soul stone. But how could he do anything when he couldn't even get in his damn room!? "My luck today…" He rubbed his head, somehow he is in a bad luck streak. He still used it to scan the reader at the training zone to enter, so it must've drop down there. But… he isn't going to head all the way back just to get it, but…. he isn't a big fan of sleeping outdoors too.
Just when he couldn't choose a side to end this conflict, the lock of the room door opens slowly from the inside with a click. All his actions and thoughts freeze in place as the door was pushed open slowly by an unknown force. Followed by a squeak from the rusty joints of the door, sounds like the squeal of a dying rat. Very queerly, the light inside started to lit automatically, illuminating the house. Fei immediately reach for the soul stone and put it around his eyes. Looking through the hole in the centre, he could see the flashing shadow of a humanoid being dashing away to the side.
"Got you"
"Hey! Come here!" He shouted, his actions only petrified the "ghost" even more as it dashed into the house. Hero gave it a chest, the two arrived in the dining room. He was standing in one side of the table, while the ghost in another. Seeing this, the ghost immediately grab a plate and cover her face, afraid that he will lay an eye on her look. "Who are you!" Fei had completely lost his patience of playing game. He leaped over the table to snatch the plate away. He did, but his body phase through it, slamming into the cabinet behind her.
"Don't look at me!"
She screamed, covering her face with that overgrown black hair of hers, that ironically looks like kelp, before rushing back into his room and locking it from the inside with a click. He didn't manage to see her face though, but Fei hear her words loud and clear, she is a girl. Now let's sum up all this situation here, he is chasing a ghost, the ghost in the girl, and she locked him off HIS room. Logics and rules didn't work here ladies and gentlemen.
"Come on!" He banged the door, trying to convince her out, but looks like she isn't open for negotiation. "I am just trying to talk!" "No you are not!" He heard a muffled scream, yeah, it is for sure she is using his bed. No wonder he smelt a weird scent every time he laid on it, it was her all the time! "I-I will scare you off…" She stammered. "I, I am ugly…" "God! I am ugly too!" Fei scream back. "Shut the hell up! Crazy kid!" He could hear the students of the dorm below him shouting.
"A-alright!" He shout back, somehow, he forgot it is already twelve in the midnight. "I wont look at your face, alright?" He whispered beneath his breath, trying to stay as quiet as possible. He didn't wanted to get a warning from the principal and get booted out of here, not for a ghost. "I, swear!" He tossed the soul stone away, trying to prove the literal of his statement. "Please, I still needed to wake up early tomorrow." He begged.
"A-alright…"
The lock was unbolt with a click, Fei reach his hand out for the doorknob but before he could turn it open, she gave her second mandate. "I-I will be staying beneath your bed. So don't look down, alright?" "Y-yeah." Fei nodded. "Got it. So, can I get in?" He heard a soft shuffle, sounds like she is crawling back to her spot at beneath the bed. After a few seconds, she finally agreed. "A-alright, come in…"
Fei laid on top of the bed, she lay beneath. Little kids often talk about the monster beneath their bed, lucky me, I got a ghost at his spot. "So, um, you are the one that prepared all the food for me?" After some moment, Fei asked. "Y-yeah." She answered. "Why?" Fei asked, her actions were too weird, bizarre for a ghost. Isn't ghosts supposed to be haunting people and scaring the crap out of it? "W-well, I afraid you will, move out again." She stammered, judging by the voice, he could feel like she was blushing. "Many of them moved out seeing me like this." She mumbled with a tone of sadness. "I am just trying my best to let you stay…"
"Well…" Fei yawned, he is very sleepy to be honest, from that school fight, the tests, his shifts, and all those out of the world incident, his battery is beyond depletion. "W-what is, your name…" "My name?" She seems kind of shocked. No one had ever asked for her name before, it had been so long. Everyone who knew her existence were either petrified or just straight up pass out right on the spot. So she concluded it with herself being ugly. Ghosts in movies are always ugly, right? She couldn't see herself through any sort of reflection, her memory of herself becomes hazier as day passed. Ever since she was ruthlessly murdered and sealed up here for no reason…
"M-my name is Toki Irene, you can call me, Toki." After a moment she finally found that long forgotten memory in her mind. Been so long that she felt as if she was calling the name of others, not hers. "F-Fei?" She called out his name once more, seeing that he didn't reply. Still, there is no response. Carefully, she poke her head out of it and take a quick look at him. He is already asleep, dead asleep, snoring softly. She hid back to her hiding space, although she was a little disappointed that their talk ended so quickly, but still a bit glad. Unlike the rest, Fei accepted her, even seeking for a way to communicate with her. Thinking about that, she couldn't hold but to snicker, she is not a wandering lone spirit anymore, she had Fei.
