Abi did not like when the maids bought new clothes for her and the sheets and curtains of her room were changed.
Her tea was back to mint now and her snacks had more apple pies than ever. It was as if she had never left that palace. As if she had never left him. He was here, hiding in the dark watching him. The thought left her shivering and carving for more.
The bed felt cold, empty. It was not the sheets that comforted him that night. It was him who had warmed her heart only to break it again. And now he claims that he knew her best.
