Mian remained with Hakid for most of the journey back to the pack lands. He was the only one that the scarred Werewolf felt comfortable with so far, so it was best for him to remain with him during this trying and stressful time.
Luckily, Hakid was able to get a grip on himself after some time. There were no fortifications or camps on their path, so with their plotted route free of humans throughout the journey through the Henshaw Dynasty's lands, he was gradually able to regain his wits and calm down. It was a relief, truly.
Thanks to their continuous trek, they were able to make a lot of progress. As they were not actively looking for any Gifts, unlike the time when they initially began their journey, they were able to move in a simple path, and so they saved lots of time. By midnight, they were almost out of the lands of the Henshaw Dynasty.
