CHAPTER FIVE.

MIKHAIL'S P.O.V

I couldn't control myself and I found my feet moving closer to her but just as I was about to hug her she pushed me back hard which made me stumble "hey sir what are you trying to do?"Her voice was as smooth as silk and I found myself mesmerized by it until I realized that I was still staring at her and she looked uncomfortable about it. I knew that she was human and so I can't reveal what I am to her yet but I have to find a way to make her stay here until I can explain everything to her. "I just wanted to search you for any weapons" I said in a stiff voice as an excuse for trying to hug her. She nodded before taking her seat. After she sat down and the guys stayed beside me I finally spoke "Good evening my name is Mikhail the leader of this clan. what's your name?" She looked at me weirdly before answering "Fiona, my name is Fiona" I thought of how lovely her name was, just like her. "well Fiona what are you doing on our land?" "As I've already explained to these two strange men I didn't know this was your territory and I was just passing by, I'll be leaving now if you allow me" she said eyeing Jace and Mark. Looking at her I tried to decide if I could trust her or if she was a spy, just because she was my Mate doesn't mean I'll let her Ruin me and my Pack. "Okay but why should we believe you? For all we know you could be sent here to spy on me and my people." I say in a tough voice. "yeah what if you're dangerous?" Jace asked and Mark nodded in agreement. she looked at us and and chuckled. This surprised me and the guys and we stared at her in shock. "I don't even know you people and I most definitely don't want anything to do with you or your so called 'pack' so if you'll excuse me I'll get going, I have someone waiting for me." She said it while placing air quotes on the word pack and to be honest it hurt me when she said she didn't want anything to do with us and I was jealous when she said someone was waiting for her. could it be a guy? " I swear to the Moon Goddess I will kill any guy who touches what is Mine" Caleb said in anger.

The guys must have sensed that her words affected me because Jace mind linked me "hey dude don't worry she only said that out of anger she doesn't mean it and I'm sure once she gets to know you she'll love you" "I guess you're right but we have to get her to stay so I can explain everything to her" I told him even though I wasn't sure about it and Caleb was already hurt by what she said. "Well can you prove it?" Mark asked her, she looked beyond annoyed and just when I thought she was going to yell she closed her eyes but I could have sworn I saw a hint of Red. It must have been a trick of the light cause when she opened her eyes they were their normal brown color. she smiled at us "okay what should I do to prove it?" "Well y-" I cut Mark off and answered instead "Well then are you willing to answer our questions?" She seemed to consider this for a while before she sighed "fine I'll let you interrogate me." "we're just gonna ask a few questions you don't have to say it like we're accusing you of Murder or something" Jace said but she just scoffed and shook her head. "Well first what's your last name?" I asked because I wanted to know more about her. "Drakon, Fiona Drakon" I nodded and proceeded to my next question. "Where are you from and what were you doing in the Forest?" I asked her. She hesitated for some seconds before answering the question"I'm New here and I don't know anything about this place, that's why I didn't know that this is your territory" she replied. This time I frowned at her response because if she was from another country she wouldn't be in the Forest. "Okay so are you from another state or country? And how did you end up in a Forest?" She looked confused "I don't know, I woke up in the middle of the Forest and couldn't remember how I got there but I got a call from someone who told me to come out of the Forest so he could drive me home and I went with it." Now this worried me because it could be that something bad happened to her to make her lose her memory, but she looked perfectly alright with no wounds or injures. This was suspicious. "Wait you mean you can't remember anything?" Jace asked her. "Not like that. I mean I can remember my name and parts of my life, I'm from New york but I can't remember how I got to this city or even Forest but I don't mean any harm well . . . I think I don't" she said with a sad look.

I felt my heart break at that, I mean what could have happened to her to make her like this plus what if the person who called her is bad I can't let anything bad happen to her. *I'm sorry about that Fiona and we're ready to help you with anything we can so I think you should stay here with the pack". "Are you sure? I mean I don't want to bother you so maybe I should just go to the guy who called me, I'm sure he's waiting fore now" she says softly. I feel my wolf growl in my head. He's not happy about his Mate going to another man especially since he can help. "Fiona the man who called you might be dangerous. What if he's the reason you can't remember anything? What if it's a trap?" I say trying to convince her. I can see her thinking about what I said and to convince her I add "it'll be safer here." "Okay I'll stay but only until I figure things out okay?" She says with a resigned sigh. "Okay and we'll do everything we can to help you remember" I tell her meaning every word I say. "We'll have the servants prepare your room" Jace tells her. She nods at him and he drags Mark along with him as he leaves. I know what he's doing. He's trying to give us time to talk but Mark hasn't caught up with that yet. "Do you remember anything about what work you do?" I asked her. "um no I don't" she said looking nervous but I just termed it to the fact that she has some sort of memory loss I mean if I were in her shoes I'd be nervous too. She didn't look like she wanted to talk so I didn't say anything and just let her think things through. After a few minutes Jace came back to tell us that her room had been prepared. I told him to take her to her room so she could rest. "Goodnight Mikhail" she said before following Jace out of the room. I sat down on my chair with a smile, I finally found my mate.
