His Promise
Long Fei left the room and followed Su Ruan's father until they reached the garden outside the hospital.
It was late and the garden was empty as most of the people in the hospital were asleep at this time. The garden lights brightened up a few spots in the garden.
Long Fei continued to follow Su Yu further into the garden without saying a word. His lips pursed into a thin line as she waited for the man to say his mind.
He thought about what Su Ruan had told him about her family. She loved her father very much and he could see that Su Yu loved his daughter as well.
But perhaps, because of that, Su Yu did not notice that there were times that Su Ruan was hurt. Sometimes, her father was too busy with everything around him that he did not notice certain things.
Long Fei could not help but think that Su Ruan's family was quite complicated as well.
After walking far enough, Su Yu finally stopped his track. Slowly, he turned to look at Long Fei.
