Supermarket Maze

(Saiki walks into the supermarket, planning to quickly grab a few things. It's a quiet day, and his only goal is to get in and out without any trouble.)

Saiki (thinking): Alright, just a few items and I'm out of here. Milk, coffee jelly, and… that's it. Easy.

(He grabs a basket and goes through the aisles, expertly avoiding eye contact with anyone. His psychic powers alert him to people around him, and so far, everything is going good.)

Saiki (thinking): This is going surprisingly well. If I can get to the register before...

(Suddenly, he senses something. Familiar voices. It's too late.)

Teruhashi (in the distance): Wow, there are so many options here! I can't decide what to get.

Hairo (in the distance): Alright! Let's make today count! Grocery shopping is a task, and every task must be done with passion!

Aren (in the distance): You don't have to turn everything into a motivational speech, Hairo...

Saiki (thinking, panicked): Oi Oi. They're here. Of course they're here. This was supposed to be a quick trip! I need to get out now.

(He quickly grabs the last item on his list,coffee jelly and went in the shortest line and puts his items.)

Saiki (thinking): I've made it. Now, just get through this line without being seen.

(The cashier, an elderly woman, slowly begins scanning Saiki's items. Very slowly.)

Cashier (smiling politely): Good afternoon, dear. Just give me a moment.

(Saiki glances around nervously. His friends are getting closer. The cashier picks up the first item,his beloved coffee jelly,and holds it up.)

Cashier: Oh, coffee jelly! My grandson loves this. Did you know there's a new flavor coming out soon?

Saiki (thinking, panicking): Please, just scan the item. I don't need a conversation right now.

(She continues talking as she slowly scans the jelly.)

Cashier: You must like it too, huh? It's so popular with the young folks these days.

Saiki (thinking): Come on, come on…

(Just as the cashier reaches for the next item, Saiki senses them,closer now. Teruhashi, Hairo, and Aren are about to enter his line of sight.)

Teruhashi (brightly): Eh? Saiki-kun?

(Saiki freezes. He was so close.)

Teruhashi: I didn't know you shopped here too! What a coincidence! (Thank you kami-sama, for making him come closer to me.)

Hairo (pumping his fist): Saiki! You're here too? I was just telling Aren about how shopping is like training,every item you grab should be a challenge!

Aren (smirking): You're ridiculous, Hairo.Yo Saiki

Saiki (thinking, frustrated): Of all the people, it had to be them. There's no escaping this now.

Cashier (still scanning items, oblivious): Such a handsome group of couples you are here! You must all get along so well.

Teruhashi (smiling sweetly): Oh, we arent a couple, but thank you! Saiki-kun must be thinking ,that he is so luckly that he got to be a supossed couple with me ,i mean if he would say "oh" to me ,i would maybe date him.

Saiki (thinking): Good grief ,just because a guy has red hair and purple hair,doesnt mean they are a couple.Oh ,she said about aren and teruhashi ,and she mistook me for a female.(This old granny should be retired)

(Hairo claps a hand on Saiki's shoulder, laughing heartily.)

Hairo: Saiki! It's fate that we ran into each other! Let's all grab a healthy smoothie after this. It's the perfect time!

Saiki (thinking): Perfect Time? It's go home time for me.

Aren (shrugging): Sounds like a plan. What do you say, Saiki?

Saiki (thinking): I say no, but I know that won't stop them.

(The cashier finally finishes scanning the last item.)

Cashier: That'll be 2,500 yen, dear.

(Saiki quickly pays, trying to keep the interaction short. But Teruhashi, Hairo, and Aren are still there, waiting for him.)

Teruhashi: Saiki, would you like to come with us? It'll be fun!

Hairo: Yeah! We build our friendship even more!

Aren: Or just, you know, hang out.

Saiki (thinking): This is the worst possible outcome. I could teleport out, but that'd raise too many questions.

(He considers his options, realizing he's trapped.)

Saiki (thinking, resigned): Good grief. Looks like I'm stuck with them... again. (hope not forever)
