Scarlet – Make-Up
I entered the neighboring section of my tent with a heavy sigh. The day ran longer than any other. It was a relief when we camped. That relief disappeared when Sabastian had Kane set up a separate tent for him. The minute my eyes laid sight of it, a deep sadness seeped into my heart. It was more painful than I thought it would have been. After all, this was what I wanted: us to go our separate way.
I was probably not ready yet. I mean, we recently got mated. The connection thickened in our veins. Our bond ran deep to not just our bodies, but soul, and mind. An unbreakable link we could never escape from. Of course, it would be hard to detach our emotions in order to manipulate the bond we shared. Many never managed to achieve this. Some did. My Father and his mate were a good example this could be achieved.
