Jin's POV
"Well, since you put it like that. I would like to talk to my brothers and see what we can do to help you if that's OK with you. She looks so sad. I know she has a lot on her mind.
"Go ahead. Not like it will hurt. But I plan to leave soon. I will not be a burden or beholden to anyone." I don't like to see that dejected look on her face. I remember my family making me feel like a burden before I was taken in by the Min's. Now I can't imagine my family making me feel like a problem. I watched her move over to sit with Sampson as I went to do the dishes.
While she is rubbing down Sampson, I make quick work of loading the dishwasher. Grabbing my phone I send a message.
Text:
Jin: She told me what happened. It is not good.
Joon: Everything? 😶
Jungkook: IJS if everyone is still breathing she didn't do anything too bad right? 😏
Jin: shared some information with the FBI
Suga: Not that bad
Joon: Does she want to go to her father?
Joon: For the record that is not all that she did.😎
Jimin: Awwww I'm gonna miss her 🥺 She had that man crying thinking she was coming to get him 😏
Jin: No she doesn't want to go back. He is trying to marry her off to strengthen his organization.
Jin: She says she will leave. Refuses to be indebted to anyone.
Hobi: You could just marry her.
Joon: 😶
Suga: 🤔 could work. It worked for me 😁
Jungkook: Cool a new Noona 😁
Tae: The Noona with the big 🐶 Do you think she will let me play with her 🐶
Jimin: I will if you don't want to. Maybe she will marry me. I could learn so much from her.
Jin: Catch 🔥 Jimin 😠
Suga: Play nice Jin
Jin: I'll talk to her
Jimin: 🤔 Looks like someone caught feelings 😏
Hobi: Did you catch feelings Jin?
Jin: Mind your business. She doesn't know anyone of you. I'll talk to her.
Tae: So about the dog??
Jungkook: Is it a big dog?
Tae: He has the shortest legs and sooooo fluffy
Suga: Will you two shut up about the dog
Hobi: 🤦♂️
Jin: Bye
Jimin is good at what he does because he knows what buttons to push. It is also what makes him a jackass. For him, it is like a sixth sense to know how to piss you off the most. I think the most irritating thing about him is good at not responding to people pressing his. He is always in control.
He doesn't know her from a hole in the wall. How can he just volunteer to marry her like that? I scatch Sampson behind the ear as I join her on the floor my the fireplace.
"We came up with an idea that will work. I am just not sure how much you will like it." Taking a deep breath she cocks her head to the side. "Go for it." She held eye contact with me. There are a lot of men that won't.
"It is simple. Your father can't marry you off if you are already married," I tell her with a smirk. She shakes her head. "If I marry someone here he will not honor the marriage. Since he can't gain anything from it. He will most likely have it annulled or just kill the man. I will not put someone through that."
"What if you marry someone that will be an advantage for him, or at least someone not easy to kill?" I can tell by the look on her face she is still concerned. "Currently you are working within one of the largest mafias in all of South Korea. So if you marry into this family on one will die." I watched as her eyes got bigger as she processed what I said.
"If I agree to this how does it help any of you? For the record, it is a big if." I can tell by the stubborn set of her jaw that she is getting ready for war. With a slight shrug of my shoulder, I tell her, "A new American contact can only help us."
"Why?" She looks more than a little confused. I can understand that. "It's simple really. International contacts are always good and we all need to marry someday to gain full control of our areas."
She looks even more confused than before. "So everyone gains something from this but the bride? My husband and father will get international contacts and I get what a kid? How is that better for me?" I know she is hurt and if I was in her shoes I would feel the same way.
"An heir would be nice. I am sure your child would be amazing." She rolls her eyes and shakes her head. "That doesn't answer my question." Nodding my head and shrugging my shoulder. "You will get the protection of the Min family. You get your choice in husband, well sort of. Suga is already married and Kookie and Tae are not fit to marry Sampson." She does not seem impressed.
"I don't know any of you. I know them even less. How am I supposed to marry any of you?" She doesn't really have a choice but I would like to have her a willing bride. She looks a little panicked and I don't like it.
"We would marry soon, but take out time getting to know each other before we have any children. I am not going to speak for the other but I am pretty sure it would be the same." She released a deep sigh and I know that means she is about to give in.
"How long do I have to make my decision?" It's cute she is eyeing me like she is sizing me up. I can take anything she can dish out.
"You need to make a decision soon. There is a minister on standby." Pulling Sampson's head into her lap she rubs his belly. I am would love to be that dog right now. She has her hands all over him. The look of pure bliss on his face is enough to make anyone jealous. I swear he was laughing at me from his position between her legs. Like he knew that is where I wanted to be.
"I can keep Sampson with me no matter what right?" I nod my head and reply, "Of course, your new husband gets a new fluffy son in Sampson." Sierra looked so sweet and innocent sitting there holding her dog. I watched as every possible option and outcome ran through her mind. I could see all her emotions expressed on her face. She periodically looks up at me then closed her eyes and kind of shook her head. It felt like forever before she stands up and looks at me. When she did I could see the determination on her face.
"What happens to me if I marry you?" Simple and straightforward, I love that about her. "If we marry all I plan to change is your last name. I am not sure what else you expect." I decided to keep my answer just as straightforward.
"Nothing else? Just me and my dog?" I notice the sassy tilt to her head as she asks the question. I can tell she wants to ask something else. "You, Sampson, and I will live together under one roof, like family. We will be a family. We will take the time to get to know each other after our marriage. We will have a real marriage in every sense of the word. If that is what you're asking." Her eyes grew as what I said sunk in.
"Are you scared? I promise no one will hurt you and once you meet Mom you will know that you are safe from everyone." Using my thumb I make small circles on the back of her hand. "Or is the commitment that you are afraid of?"
I am not afraid of marriage. I am afraid of losing my freedom. Giving up control before I have even had a chance to live. No matter what pretty words you use this is not a marriage I wanted. I am looking for love not just commitment and protection." I can understand what she is saying.
"Princess, marriage is not a death sentence. What are you so afraid of missing out on. What can't you do married to me that you can do on your own?" Her crooked little smirk I not making me feel better. "Date ." She's right.
"When you come to the realization the only person you need to make happy is yourself, your entire world will change and it will become what you always wanted." Jin
