The Bone Hero, Jokara

The world of villains and heroes. Something right out of comic books. But for these people, it's a reality. And it's nowhere near as fun as the comics make it seem. Tag along with Jokara, an enigma even in his own world, as he tries to discover some kind of meaning and drive for himself. Disclaimer: Jokara will become a hero. But at the same time, his actions will often be very questionable for a hero, as well as a villain. (This is my first story. In my opinion, it's really not that good, and I want to get much better. Please keep that in mind as you read it. I would seriously appreciate constructive criticism, but please don't be a dick about it.)

Chapter 19: Internship With Two Heroes, Part 2

(Daily Music: Jazz Frog (But It's a Full Song!) )

( Been re-watching MHA (English Dub) and I forgot just how incredible All For One's entrance is in it. Best part of Season 3. Also, Season 2 Opening 2 fucking slaps)

Miruko: (Something is really messed up with this kid. That image he projected seemed so real, and it was a picture even worse than most villains I've seen. I don't know what happened to him for that image to be so realistic, but I've gotta keep a close eye on him.)

After a short break, Miruko got to testing my stamina.

She just told me to run at half my max speed for as long as I could until I slowed down. I managed to keep at half speed for around 30 minutes. It would be much shorter if she told me to go full speed, but she didn't have treadmills that could support my max speed.

Miruko: Alright, so, your stamina is pretty good, but we can still work on it. However, the thing we seriously need to improve is your physical strength. So, I'll have you in the gym area for most of the day, and when you recover from that, we'll go out and patrol.

I nodded. She brought me to an area with lots of training equipment, including small ring-looking gadgets.

Me: Miss, what are those rings?

Miruko: Those are compressed weights to put someone under lots of weight while they train to increase their results.

(I know that they have that stuff at UA, but these are kinda like budget versions of the ones Hatsume made. Speaking of which, give me some ideas for support items that would help him out. Nothing to block pain, because it's basically the reason he's so resistant to pain and damage in the first place)

Me: May I use them? I think it would help immensely with what you're going to have me do.

Miruko: Sure. Where do you want me to put them?

Me: Two for each arm and leg. If you have one big enough, wrap one around my chest as well, please.

Miruko: Alright. For the chest, I'll have to get someone real quick. Let me get her real quick.

She went out momentarily and brought back a really tall woman. She had really pretty hair, and had some lizard features, such as lizard eyes and a lizard-like tongue.

(I'll post an image here.)

Yamagata: So, Miruko, I assume you didn't bring me here just to see a cute boy. I mean, I would be glad if you did, but I assume not.

Miruko: We need you to use your Quirk on one of the compressed weights. He wants one to be able to fit on his chest.

She nodded, grabbed a compressed weight, and enlarged it. She then brought it over to me, and held it around my chest, and then shrunk it, allowing it to perfectly wrap around my chest.

(In Present Mic voice) Yamagata Yuko! Quirk: Small World, Big Things! She can enlarge things or shrink them! She can, to a small extent, do it to herself too, either to make herself bigger or smaller! This also works on individual body parts!

Yamagata: There you go, little warrior. Good luck, now.

She gently ruffled my hair. It felt really nice. Calmed me down as well.

(As you can see, his weakness is head pats!)

Miruko then put two weights on both of my arms and legs.

Miruko: Alright, let's get started. Before we start with the workouts, I want you to take time to get used to how heavy these weights are gonna be.

She then pressed a small button on each weight, starting with the one on my chest, then to the ones on my arms, then the ones on my legs.

Almost as soon as they activated, I almost fell to the floor, but I managed to stop myself from completely falling flat, but just barely.

Miruko: Don't worry too much about and not being able to get back up, I'll help you back up if you do fall. Just walk around with these on for now.

I did as she said and just tried to walk around with the weights on for now. It took a good while to get used to it, around 45 minutes, including time spent resting. After that, I was used to it enough to the point where it didn't tax me as much as 45 minutes ago, but I still wasn't 100% adapted to it. My legs and arms were still slower than normal, but they were relatively fine.

Miruko: Alright, first, we're going to have you work with some weights to help your arm strength, then we'll go onto exercises for legs. After that, we'll do chest exercises. For today, we'll do 10 sets of each workout. You're sufficiently warmed up from moving around with that stuff on already, so we can just get right into it.

We went right into the exercises, and the strain on my body instantly returned in full stride in each workout. She had me do bicep curls for the first exercises for my arms. The weights were around 30 kilograms, but they were much heavier on me thanks to the compressed weights on my arms, bumping their weight and the strain on me much more than the original.

(I literally quit math, so don't expect me to give exact numbers. I'll just wait for the really smart people to go all "Um, aKsUaLlY" on my ass XD)

After that, I had to do chest presses. After that, lateral raises. Then, front raises. Lastly, shoulder presses. And those were all the exercises I did for the muscles related to my arms.

Now, onto the leg exercises. First up, squats. Next, deadlifts. Afterwards, leg presses. Once that one's done, we go onto the last one for legs, and it's another variant of squats: Wall Ball Squat.

(Wall Ball Squat is where you have one of those exercise balls behind you on a wall, keep it up there with your back pressing on it, and squat, but keep the ball on the wall)

Last exercise groups for today's exercise. The chest. First up: Bench Press. Next is Chest Press, again. Push Ups came afterwards. To finish it up, and to include a good few muscle groups, we did Plank.

Once that was all done, I was done with today's exercise. I collapsed on the floor in exhaustion. I got picked up by Miruko.

Miruko: Good work, kiddo. You did great.

She, like a lot of people seem to be doing lately, ruffled my hair.

Again, it felt really nice.

She took off the weights on my arms and legs, and brought me to Yamagata to enlarge the one on my chest so it doesn't fit my chest anymore, and it falls off. She did exactly that, and they took it back to the gym.

I already felt much lighter, even lighter than before when I didn't have these on. The workouts I did on this first day would do a lot. And I have a whole week of this stuff, so I would get even more physical benefits.

After an hour and a half of rest, I was back to full stamina. I went to Miruko to tell her I was ready for patrol.

(Wassup you beautiful motherfuckers)
