(Wayne Manner Estate - Batcave)
In the depths of the Batcave, Bruce Wayne sat hunched over the bat computer, his focus unwavering as he delved into the intricacies of multiple cases.
The dimly lit cave echoed with the soft hum of technology, while the weight of Gotham's problems rested heavily on Bruce's shoulders.
The hours seemed to blend together, blurring the line between day and night.
Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce's loyal butler and confidant, entered the cave with a tray of food in his hands.
He approached Bruce, placed the tray on a nearby table, and sighed softly.
It pained him to see his master consumed by his vigilante duties, neglecting his own well-being.
"Master Bruce, I've brought your dinner," Alfred said, his voice filled with concern. "You've been at this for hours. Perhaps you should take a break and nourish yourself."
Bruce glanced up briefly, acknowledging Alfred's presence but not fully registering his words. His mind was preoccupied with other things more important than food. He brushed aside the food, dismissing it without a second glance.
"I'm fine, Alfred," Bruce replied curtly, his voice tired and strained. "There's too much at stake right now. Gotham needs me."
Alfred sighed once again, his eyes reflecting both frustration and worry. He had been observing Bruce closely, witnessing the toll that his crusade had taken on him.
The absence of Dr Chase Meridian, Bruce's love interest, had not gone unnoticed.
"Dr Meridian came by earlier," Alfred informed Bruce, his voice tinged with a hint of reproach. "She was concerned about you. I informed her that you were out of Gotham on a business trip."
Bruce's hands stilled on the keyboard, his gaze fixed on the screen in front of him.
For a moment, his mask slipped, revealing some hint of regret, before it went straight back to brooding. He struggled to maintain a distance from those he cared about.
"Tell her... tell her I'll be in touch," Bruce replied, his voice laced with a mix of guilt and longing. "There are things I need to sort out first."
Alfred nodded, understanding the internal struggle that Bruce faced. He respected his master's dedication to his mission, but he also recognized the importance of human connection and finding solace in the midst of darkness.
"I understand, Master Bruce," Alfred said gently. "But do remember that while you bear the weight of Gotham, you do not have to shoulder it alone. Dr. Meridian is a good and skilled psychologist, she could offer insights that may help alleviate some of the burdens."
Bruce's eyes flickered with a mix of reluctance and consideration.
He understood the value of seeking professional help, especially from someone who knew him intimately. However, he was hesitant to expose his vulnerabilities, even to Dr Meridian.
"I'll think about it, Alfred," Bruce finally replied, his voice laced with a hint of gratitude for the suggestion. "Right now, I need to focus on these cases. Gotham can't afford any distractions."
Alfred nodded, his expression tinged with a mixture of concern and acceptance. He knew better than to push Bruce too far, understanding the delicate balance between the Dark Knight and the man beneath the mask.
"I understand, Master Bruce," Alfred said, his voice filled with a gentle understanding. "Just remember that you have allies and loved ones who care about your well-being. It's not a weakness to seek support when needed.' After all, thats why the robins exist, do they not.'
With a silent nod, Bruce returned his attention to the bat computer, immersing himself once again.
Alfred quietly retreated from the cave, leaving Bruce to his solitude.
The path ahead remained uncertain, but Alfred held onto the belief that someday, Bruce would find the strength to confront not only the villains of Gotham but also the ghosts that haunted his own heart.
Meanwhile, Bruce who had continued typing away at his computer pulled up an old case file from a few months back, BM-P-223, File name: Comic Con-Mystery Temple-Bombing.

(Random Gotham Park)
On a random day at the beginning of autumn, when the park was still quiet and devoid of people, a lone community piano stood under the shade of a towering oak tree.
Its vibrant colours stood out against the backdrop of nature's changing hues. The morning sunlight cast a warm glow upon the instrument, beckoning someone to bring it to life.
And there, amidst the tranquillity, a figure emerged, donning a long coat jacket with silvery-white hair.
They gracefully took a seat at the piano, their fingers poised over the keys. A lazy black cat lounged on the piano's body, seemingly undisturbed by the impending melody.
The person began to play, their fingers dancing across the ivory keys, coaxing out a sweet and melodic tune.
The music drifted through the air, intertwining with the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds. It was a moment of pure serenity.
Unbeknownst to the pianist, Jayden, two figures approached, each carrying a cup of steaming coffee. Selina and Lola, his beloved partners and lovers, had been drawn to the ethereal sounds emanating from the park.
As they neared the piano, they couldn't help but be captivated by the enchanting melody.
They paused a short distance away, their eyes filled with admiration. The music seemed to cast a spell over them, transcending the boundaries of time and space.
Finally, as the last note echoed through the air, Jayden turned around, a warm smile lighting up his face.
Selina's eyes sparkled with love, and Lola's gaze held a mixture of affection and curiosity.
Applauding with genuine enthusiasm, Selina and Lola expressed their awe and delight. Their admiration was palpable, and Jayden couldn't help but feel a sense of validation and embarrassment.
Blushing modestly, Jayden accepted the cup of coffee Selina offered him, feeling the warmth radiate through his hands. "Thank you, kitty." Jayden thanked Selina while taking a quick sip before burning his tongue.
Lola grinned mischievously, her blue eyes twinkling. "Well, you've certainly cast a spell on us with your music, Jayden. You're an amazing barber, you can draw and now you can even play the piano, seriously what can't you do."
Selina nodded in agreement, her voice filled with genuine admiration. "You are truly amazing Jayden. But what was that piece, I've never heard it before."
"To be completely honest with you, I don't know either, when I was younger I used to go to the park to play and there I met an old man that used to play piano there all the time.
That's who I learned to play from, and this was the last and only piece he ever taught me before sadly passing away." Jayden said as both girls walked by both of his sides.
A week had passed since Lola's grand bar opening, and life had settled into its regular rhythm.
Jayden resumed his days at the bustling barber shop, skillfully trimming and styling his clients' hair.
Lola, on the other hand, found her place at the helm of her new bar, pouring drinks and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.
It was a fulfilling venture for her, and she revelled in the joy of seeing her dreams come to fruition.
Meanwhile, Selina continued her double life, balancing her role as a skilled thief with her love for Jayden.
She prided herself on keeping her secret activities hidden from him, believing that she had successfully maintained the facade.
Little did she know that Jayden had long known her endeavours, choosing to bide his time and wait for the moment when Selina felt ready to reveal her truth.
In a moment of unity and togetherness, the three decided to embark on a triple date, dedicating a day to simply walking around, and exploring the city.
As Jayden, Selina, and Lola continued their leisurely walk through the park, their conversation shifted to upcoming plans and the topic of the holiday tickets Jayden had won.
His eyes sparkled with excitement as he recounted his victory in the food-eating competition at Mrs Xue's beloved Wok and Roll, which had earned him the generous prize of five free Cruise tickets.
Selina's curiosity was piqued, and she leaned closer to Jayden, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "So, my dear champion, who did you invite to join us on this holiday adventure?"
Jayden's expression brightened, his voice filled with enthusiasm. "Well, I invited both of you, of course. It's meant to be a celebration of our love. But since there are only three of us, I am at a loss as to who to give the other two tickets to."
Lola's eyes sparkled mischievously, an idea forming in her mind. "Jayden, darling, I have a suggestion. I have a couple of dear friends who would absolutely love to go on a trip.
They've been such a support to me, especially during the bar opening. What do you think about offering the extra tickets to them?"
Jayden's face lit up, realizing the thoughtfulness of Lola's proposal. "That's a fantastic idea! I trust your judgment, Lola. If they mean so much to you, then they're more than welcome to join our holiday adventure."
Gratitude washed over Lola's face as she planted a tender kiss on Jayden's cheek.
"Thank you, love. I know my friends will be overjoyed to hear that." Lola said as she gave a quick look to Selina who just rolled her eyes, but nodded nevertheless.
.....
As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the city, Jayden and Raven, made their way back to the familiar embrace of the bustling barber shop.
The day's walk had left them content and energized, ready to resume their routine.
Jayden bid farewell to Selina and Lola, each going their separate ways to their respective apartments.
As Jayden stepped through the door of his barbershop, a sudden wave of dizziness washed over him, causing his vision to blur.
He instinctively reached out for support, leaning against the wall to steady himself.
Confusion knitted his brows as he heard a voice reverberate within his mind. It was a voice he had become familiar with over time – one of his clones attempting to communicate with him.
Though the initial shock had worn off, Jayden knew that such communication was a rarity, an occurrence that carried weight and significance. He steadied himself and listened intently, focusing on the message the clone was trying to convey.
"It's happening," the voice echoed, concise and cryptic. The words sobered Jayden right up. Immediately alerting him to the urgency and gravity of the situation.
The clone's only purpose had been to observe and gather information, always lurking in the shadows, but this sudden message indicated that their passive role was coming to an end.
Without a moment's hesitation, Jayden reached into his pocket, retrieving an innocuous-looking device—a tracker that served a dual purpose.
With its sleek design, it appeared to be an ordinary phone, but its true function was far more clandestine.
It possessed the ability to track and, when activated, acted as a one-way microphone, granting Jayden the ability to eavesdrop on the conversation of whomever it was attached to.
He swiftly turned on the device, his heart pounding with a mix of apprehension and determination.
Jayden knew that he had stumbled upon a pivotal moment, one that required him to gather as much information as possible.
As the device sprang to life, transmitting audio from the other side, Jayden felt a sense of voyeuristic intrusion.
The conversation unfolded before him, unbeknownst to the participants who remained blissfully ignorant of his clandestine eavesdropping.
His face contorted into a series of expressions – concern and a fierce determination, and protectiveness.
With each passing second, Jayden's realization deepened. The situation was far more complex than he had ever anticipated.
Gripping the device tightly, Jayden had already started concocting a plan in his head.
He would tread carefully, gathering every scrap of knowledge, meticulously piecing together the puzzle that was slowly revealing itself.

Drove all the way from London to volunteer at the Bolton ironman tommorow. Can't wait to greet all the participants at the finish line.
