THE 7TEEN: LET THE PAIN EXIST

Meet Dhruv, a 17-year-old boy shrouded in mystery. His life took a turn for the worse six months ago when his father passed away in a car accident, leaving him to contend with his neglectful mother and school bullies. However, everything changes on January 17th, 2017, when the police arrive at his doorstep to inquire about the murders of three of his classmates. Suddenly, Dhruv finds himself at the center of a murder mystery. As the truth begins to emerge, it becomes clear that things are not as they seem, and the line between right and wrong is blurred. Brace yourself for a thrilling ride where anything can happen, as the truth ISN'T WHITE ANYMORE. And Pain, Let It Exist! My novel stands out from many others in that it has a distinct conclusion and employs a unique storytelling style. Rather than following the conventional novel format, it is structured like a script. This decision was made to maintain a quick pace throughout the thrilling story without making it overly lengthy.

ONE LAST TRY

Guilt is something that has the power to make a person do unimaginable things just to get past that feeling. Guilt can make a person desperate, fearful, weak. But it's also something that makes a person more human. And a person with no guilt is either the happiest person in the world or the most dangerous person in the room. Guilt can kill you from inside, and Shiv was experiencing that slow death.

He didn't know what to do. For hours he kept himself busy with Dhruv and investigation and tried to avoid the pain he felt on losing his son, the helplessness he felt on not being able to save those kids, the guilt he felt by the death of Pooja as it has his decision to let Dhruv and Pooja met. It would have been too much for anyone, and he too was just a mere human. It is no surprise how he had almost two anxiety attacks in the last 10 minutes. . No matter what he went through, he couldn't possibly delay his next course of action. It had to be done and he was going to do it!

He for once again went and stood near that door of the interrogation room. This time making sure he doesn't get another panic attack. He kept his hands on the handle and took a deep breath as he opened the door slowly. With the small crack that kept widening as the door moved on to open itself completely, he saw Dhruv. Sleeping on the table yet again, drooling on his hand on which his head rested like some baby. He seemed to be in a deep sleep. He was in peace, for once quite. Shiv almost wished he could have the peace that he saw Dhruv having as he slept on the disaster he caused. He felt two different things at the same time, he wanted to let Dhruv have his peaceful sleep but he also wanted to take away every moment of peace from his life for all the damage he caused and all the lives he damaged. But he went with the latter option as the emotion of guilt still ran strong. His hands stopped for a moment as he went to shock him. But he couldn't feel such filthy emotions for this scumbag, he don't deserve any of this!

He kicked Dhruv down the chair. He fell down with a loud scream. He yelled,

Dhruv: What the hell is wrong with you? Why can't you let a poor kid have his sleep? This is the second time you know?

Rathod: Well you can't really expect a good sleep when a serial killer is on a loose!

Dhruv: For what I know, you have him in your custody!

Rathod: I thought the same but the guy was still on a loose, he still managed to kill.

Dhruv: Oh I see! How are you going to catch him?

Rathod: I have someone who will be handing over evidence to me that I can use against him?

Dhruv: That's it? He is done? Just like that?

Rathod: Yeah! The moment I get the evidence, he is done for!

Dhruv: Is he though? Isn't he a minor? And doesn't he suffer through some severe mental illness?

Rathod: What?

Dhruv: He is responsible for five deaths and obviously doesn't have any remorse, he seems cold as a block of ice in the Antarctic.

Rathod: But he has a motive!

Dhruv: Does he though? Because I don't think you can ever possibly talk about it. I mean sure, you can but for now, the world thinks these teenagers killed themselves, Vikram being the obvious exception! And after you introduce the world to this serial killer of yours, and then there comes the spiral of questions. And if you are thinking to be honest with your answers, then I am damn sure you will be ruining the lives of the families of the 'VICTIMS' cause they won't be victims anymore. They will be a bunch of friends who also happens to be bullies, murderers, and did I mention? Also RAPIST! And as the cat is out of the purse, your serial killer won't be a serial killer anymore, he will be a kid who was bullied, tortured, and raped, a kid that took it all to the point where he couldn't take it anymore. He wanted to ease his pain, so he decided to cause them the same pain he suffered. Even if you give your killer the punishment he deserves, the ones that will be really punished will be others, because no one will ever see him as a monster. They will see him as a person who just went through a lot, suffer a lot but the saddest part of it all being, he never deserved it!

Rathod: I wish I had a good argument for it, but sadly it's true. But with all the pain that will come with it, all the victims still deserve justice. Even if the victim is the killer himself!

Dhruv: Let's play one more game! I can give you a solution that can solve everything without causing any damage to anyone, you just have to…

Rathod: STOP! I can't do this anymore, I am done!

Dhruv: Oh! I guess I am too. But I guess there's no harm in one last try. Anyway, it was nice till it lasted!

Rathod: For you, I guess, cause every other person that got dragged into this did nothing but suffer.

Dhruv: I guess that's true!

Rathod: It's time, we need to leave!

Dhruv: I am well aware….. I am ready!

Rathod: We will leave in a bit!

Originally this chapter never existed in the novel, so you can think of it as a bonus chapter! This is a continuation of the story from where everything seemed to end, and it will! But how much more pain will this continuation cause is the real question?
